Anne is a wonderful host, an amazing cook. She has created has a most unexpected French chateau oasis in this small dusty Kimberly town. Her gardens are lush and cool with many little moments to sit and relax in. And her home made bread and mango jam are YUM. Loved my stay. Liane
Such a great place from which to work in Derby or just spend a night or two in a special place on your Kimberley adventure. Breakfast is an amazing feast and, on request, a fabulous dinner can be arranged. Self catering is also possible if you are weight watching! Three double bedrooms with ensuites. A cool shady garden retreat and refreshing swimming pool. A charming host with so much local knowledge to share with an intriguing collection of artworks, furniture and collectibles. Comfortable beds, air conditioning and ceiling fans. A very pleasant place to stay.
Love my monthly visits to derby and the Desert Rose, it’s like my home away from home. Anne and Peter really look after us and make us feel like we are apart of the family. The room is always perfect with white sheets and the smell of fresh lavender on arrival. Love the pool and garden all year round.
This lovely B&B responeded to all our expectations. Nice homely decorated room and ample verandah space of more than 25 m2 with coffee, tea and a refrigerator. Large room of 28 m2 and bathroom of 4 m2. Bed 2 m x 1,5 and another bed on the side. Very nice breakfast with self made jams and interesting earthenware. The next day, when we had a flat tire, and no garage wanted to patch one after saturday morning in Derby, she helped us with calling around for a solution.
If you are looking for an amazing experience as well as great accommodation look no further than exquisite BnB. Anne is an amazing cook, with a menu you will not find anywhere else in the Kimberely! Definitely worth the stay.
