My friend & I went for a first come first served spot. We arrived at 9 AM on a Thursday & were thankfully able to snag one! It is a wonderful site with bathrooms, drinking water, and incredible views!
We arrived to Olympic NP and this place was one of the first we´ve seen. We found the last spot at this camp and the mossy rainforest atmosphere was amazing. We saw the otters in the morning at the river and find nice people that recommended us good places to see and hike. Close to this place is ranger station where you can get permit for backcountry backpaking.
Really enjoyed our 3-night stay here with our two boys (both under 10 yrs). Campsites were small and not the most private, but people were really quiet, friendly, and respectful! We were right across from the lake in our site (site #6). There are other sites next to the rushing waters of the creek that would have been nice too but were all taken. Bathroom was clean, but only one bathroom for entire campground (2 stalls and one sink in woman's and I think the same in the men's?). We liked hiking on the trail near the lake and discovered a little beach area and great swimming area! The little market up the road was great....we forgot coffee so I went to get (almond milk) lattes each morning! :-) . Took day trips to Ruby Beach at low tide to see the amazing tidepools and to Quinault rain forest for hiking, and then back in the afternoon for swimming in the lake! Would definitely return!…
