Dear colas n, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay. We take all guest feedback seriously as we strive to ensure that each and every one of our guests has the best possible time with us here at our wonderful resort. I feel however I must point out for all other potential guests reading this review the facts of what took place. Firstly you booked through at a preferential room rate which was also Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable. This is the reason why such room rates are offered across the industry, the guest gets a better value rate with some limited restrictions. Secondly your booking was incorrect. You made your reservation for 4 x Guests when you turned up as a family of 6. This is what caused the delay at check in as it is physical impossible to book a family of two adults and 4 children into only two Rooms at our Resort at Sultan Sands due to the design of the rooms. As a goodwill gesture as the Resort Manager I even gave you a complimentary Free of Charge Rate for your two young children who arrived with you who were not part of the booking. Also you failed to mention we also offered you an upgrade the following morning across to our sister Resort Bluebay which is next door to Deluxe Suites with more family space which you also refused. The location of the resort is perfect for the vast majority of our clientele who wish to have a peaceful relaxing vacation on one of the best stretches of beach in Zanzibar, I would suggest to anyone making a reservation into any Hotel or Resort to do a bit of research to ensure it is exactly what you want to avoid disappointment upon arrival. Contrary to you implication that the resort management was not interested in you, I personally spent a vast amount of time with you and your family over the course of 4 days. This also included phone calls with yourself to your rep back in France who also explained politely the same as me the terms and conditions of your booking. You quite happily state at the end of your review that you were happy at Hotel Verde, which is a specialty hotel which has no entertainment and no alcohol served on its premises which is what you really wanted as this was the source of your unhappiness as you spoke to both my Front Office team and myself about this. This hotel is also located closer to Stonetown which is the main principality on the island which probably was better suited for you and your young family. Here at Bluebay Resorts we respect and cater for a wide range of international clients from many different countries and of many differing backgrounds of which we receive great feedback and many, many happy guests based on the feedback we receive. To get the best out of your well-earned vacation do some research before you arrive and you will ensure you are in the place where you want to be and your family and yourself will get the most out of your stay. I will just mention that Sultan Sands does not have a children's club, although our guests have access to the small children's facilities across at our sister resort Bluebay next door. The children's facilities at Bluebay are limited and serve more as a relaxed drop in drop out area and not a dedicated childminding service. Dear Fauxcon, Thank you for your review. All feedback is taken seriously with the aim to improve our product so we can not only meet but also exceed guest expectations, on this occasion I was disappointed to read that you felt let down in terms of the quality of the restaurant food. We cater for allot of different nationalities at the resort so we run a 14 day menu cycle with a different theme every evening, my team of chefs are also happy to accommodate any dietary requirements which is reflected in the many positive reviews we receive online. I will however pass your feedback onto my kitchen team who constantly review the menus to ensure we offer the best quality food for our guests. Jambo Alessandra P, Thank you for your review. While yes you did visit us here at the resort during the rainy season it certainly did not dampen your holiday spirit! This also gives you a great excuse to come back again and visit us when the sun shines all day long! I'm certainly happy to read that you really enjoyed the F&B service and food on offer, as we have a large variety of international guests we do try and have plenty of variety on offer so there is something for everyone. I'm certainly glad you had the chance to get out and about to see some of this amazing island and its unique culture I must remind all future guests that any excursions which are taken via anyone off the resort are uninsured and the resort is not liable in anyway if anything should go wrong or if any guest gets a substandard experience. We do have a full tour operations desk here at the resort and we can guarantee that all excursions we provide for our guests are of the highest quality so every guest really does get the most out of the amazing things that Zanzibar has to offer. Dear Carina Many thanks for the question and your interest in booking with us. Please note that for snorkeling we have certain recommended spots which are further away and arranged by our on premises Diving & snorkeling team. You can do excursions to Stone Town , Prison Island , Spice Farm and many more , arranged by our excursion team. I would recommend you "All Inclusive" option as it covers all meals, specific alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Wish you all the best and look forward to hosting you in the near future. Is WIFI available and working?
Good Day Kindly note that we have recently introduced wi fi in all the rooms as well . Earlier it was available in public areas only. So yes it is available and working very well. Warm regards

Good Evening ! Thanks for the enquiry. Kindly be informed that the rooms don't have a shower curtain or glass curtain. What we have is a curved wall curtain. The rooms are in a good state but not recently renovated. All Baobab rooms are surrounded only by the same category rooms. Hope the above information will help you book at Sultan Sands Island Resort.
