Everything is dirty, cold water in the shower, the kitchen is dirty. Please do not sleep there. Really bad experience. Someone lost the key and they made pay them 50 euros for that key. Just unbelievable.
I had booked to stay at this place for 4 nights with my 3 children. We actually ran out of the place after one night. The beds were awful, were stuck one room together. No hot water, no one to be seen after we had checked in. According to the owner Rosie, she was taking the evening off. The front door of the "hotel" was locked at all times, the one key we were given would open the front door and also the bedroom door. My children were scared as they felt all doors would open with this key. The owner said she had a taxi business and would be busy. No staff to be seen at any stage. She said the premises was booked up for the weekend but we saw no other resident there. On the website it stated there was a pool next to hotel, when I could eventually contacted the owner on her mobile phone to enquire about the pool she said there's one in the village 15 mins away. I told her I was leaving the place as the children were upset, she arrived within minutes I stated that she didn't deserve money for the one night stay so she started shouting in German and went to make a call. My young daughter got very anxious and worried that the owner was calling the police. I gave in and said I'll pay you but only because the child was distressed. She said it was 80€ for the night so I gave her the money, had contacted a taxi company and left the place. It's grotty and lonely there, we were only staying close to Frankfurt Hahn airport as we were visiting my niece who was training for cabin crew. I will never forget the terrible experience of this place. Dirty, musty rooms and reception area had an ashtray that was full with cigarette ends. The owner was very very frightening to myself and my children and for that I cannot forgive. To think that no restaurant, bar or even kettle were available to us is just a complete letdown. I beg you please to believe me when I ask you to please re-consider if you have any plans on booking this place. The price she had quoted for the 4 nights was 360€ no breakfast was included in this price. I moved to Frankfurt City Centre stayed in a beautiful hotel with fab friendly staff, indoor pool, walking distance to centre and shopping. Had two rooms with interconnecting doors air con in the beautifully furnished bright clean rooms comfortable beds etc. 340€ total for the 3 remaining nights. Was so well worth it. I know I had to pay for the bus journey but either way we had planned on travelling to the city for a day.…
I stayed at this hotel, not through choice but due to the severe weather in Dec 2010 that caused many flights to be cancelled in Germany. I booked the hotel very last minute ( on the plane to be precise, as we were told the flight was to be cancelled). I paid £50 a night. The owner of the hotel operates a shuttle service and he kindly picked us up and transported us to the hotel. About 5-10 minutes away. This was much appreciated as taxis were near impossible to order on that particular night due to the weather. When we arrived at the hotel, it was pleasant and we were quickly checked in. The landlady kindly kept the bar open for us as we were all in the need of a stiff drink after the problems at the airport. The overwhelming stench of smoke was unbearable though- it permeated the whole building- it was disgusting. The rooms are old fashioned but very clean and the bathrooms were small but again suitable for an overnight stay. The rooms were warm and had radiators within. There is wifi in the hotel too which is free of charge. We were glad we managed to get this hotel as few hotels were available as other passengers with cancelled flights were also booking hotels in the area. The next day the owner drove us and another group to the airport which I believe was free of charge, so all in all not a bad deal. Unlikely to be staying in this remote location again but it certainly was an experience with the snow and bad weather!…
