Waterside Retreat is a detached holiday home in a superb position, just off the main River Bure, in the heart of Wroxham, Broadlands' liveliest village. With 5 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, luxurious kitchen with eating area it will very comfortably sleeps up to 11 people. This is an ideal holiday retreat in the Norfolk Broads and an excellent location for sailing, fishing and bird watching.
Modern and furnished to a high standard of comfort, this charming holiday home is a perfect retreat at any time of the year and guests benefit from the use of a rowing dinghy.
Wroxham and Hoveton are divided by the River Bure, with the two villages generally referred to as Wroxham. It is one of the Norfolk Broads largest boat hire centres where you can enjoy river trips, hire a boat, enjoy some fishing, sail...

Broadband birthday break and Norwich race
Large cottage in peaceful location able to accommodate family groups and great for a family celebration.
Easy access to the Broads and surrounding areas including Norwich. Plenty of good places to visit and to eat out. We all enjoyed the view at the rear of cottage and the peace and quiet. One of the group spent the four days fishing!
Hope to return next year maybe in the spring. The owners were extremely helpful and courteous.

Amazing stay
Perfect stay in an amazing cottage. Perfect location for anyone wanting to stay in Wroxham. Would recommend to anyone!

Perfect waterfront break
Lovely location, amazing property big enough for our whole family. Central for both exploring the broads and close for the beaches.
Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend.

Xmas getaway
Me and my extended family (11 people in total) have just spent a 3 day Xmas break getaway at this property (24-27th December) and wow wow wow, cannot fault the property in any way whatsoever!!
We were issues with instructions via email several
Weeks before arriving at property and the instructions were as clear as crystal easily followed.
The property is huge and plenty off space to not be on top off each other despite having 11 people within the property (7 adults and 4 kids aged 1,4,9,11)
Bedrooms spacious
Kitchen diner huge
Lounge area (with table and chairs to seat 12) massive
Conservatory with great views
Snug room for kids (we put tv on and bought along a PlayStation for the kids to amuse themselves whilst adults watched tv in lounge)
Utility room (if required) exemplary
Wil have no issue in returning to property in near future and have already been in touch with owner regarding future bookings, cannot stress enough how highly I recommend this property.

Annual weekend away
Fabulous house in a beautiful location. Facilities are great, although a little dated, but more than adequate, in fact in their day would definitely have been luxurious! Kitchen, lounge & dining are fantastic spaces and definitely fit for a larger gathering. Only complaint is that the sofa sections are not secured and therefore have a tendency to separate if you sit on a join.
Would definitely recommend this property & are considering a return visit next year. If you’re visiting in December then a trip to the Cromer Christmas Show is a must!

dont think about it - book it!
50 + years experience of The Broads and you will struggle to find anything better. Location could be a bit quiet for some(not on main river) On the other hand that could be its attraction. Versatile accommodation for a mix of gender and ages. Well equipped and maintained. Convenient and within walking distance of local facilities. Had to contact Paul (owner) about a minor matter and couldn't have been more prompt or friendly. Thank you for a lovely family break.

What more could you ask for absolutely superb
I always write reviews whether its a restaurant, hotel, or other form of accommodation and I have a reputation for being very critical. Well for once this is not the case. This holiday retreat is superb, spotlessly clean, fresh and well furnished. The lounge is extremely spacious, dining room and kitchen likewise and it even has a small bolthole where a couple or 2 children can disappear to and watch TV etc. There is room for 6 cars on the front and at the rear is a large decked area overlooking the water, it also has a boat you can hire to explore the Broads I could go on all day about how wonderful it is but better you take a look at the video and then give it a try, you will not be disappointed.( Geofftheref)

Amazing House Great Location
Fantastic property with everything we needed and more. Exceptionally clean great beds really comfy especially the en suite bedroom. Huge amount of space for 9 of us with ages ranging from 4 - 68. Everyone had great fun fishing from the deck and using the dingy supplied. Family of ducks visited everyday which the younger children loved. Hired a boat for 3 days and was able to moor at the property what a bonus!!. Location was excellent 5 minute walk to shops pubs restaurants and lovely riverside walks. Would love to return .

Fantastic super just amazing
this large property is fantastic my birthday weekend with 9 other family members staying and on Saturday friends and family for lunch making 20 ages from 5 to 95 and every one loved the house and there was everything you could need for catering it was lovely and warm and very clean decorated superbly the children loved the TV room and I would book again this is the best house I have rented
