Lovely location!
Lovely location with the village situated at the bottom of seaside cliffs! Lovely harbour ideal for keen swimmers. Locals were in from 9.00 till 9.00! Volunteer staffed cafe in large building on the harbour front. Offered teas/coffees etc. with “Suggested donations”, proceeds going to whatever charity manned the premises that week. Very friendly locals and shops were nearby. The cottage was well equipped with a living/kitchen area and upstairs bedroom with en suite. There are no views from the living room as the road is immediately outside and there is a building opposite. This cottage would suit those interested in walking, swimming or using water sport equipment.

Stayed at this lovely cottage for a week in the beautiful village of Gardenstown .Harbour Cottage was just the perfect base , spacious cottage with everything that was needed to have a good break.
Such a perfect find and in a good position .

Had never been to this part of Scotland before but ever so glad we visited. The cottage was spotlessly clean and location ideal. Gardenstown is a beautiful village

Perfect Little Cottage!
My partner, my dog and myself had a fantastic 4 night stay here. It’s in the perfect location, just up from the harbour and a minutes walk to the beach. The cottage was incredibly clean and had all the amenities that you could need, not to mention the amazing view from the bedroom window.
I highly recommend staying here, and hope to visit again!!

Comfortable cottage
Gardenstown is an unusual and interesting village, picturesque harbour. Harbour Cottage has every thing you need in a holiday house, high speed broadband is a bonus. Decent smart TV. Exciting hairpin bends on way into village keep you focused.

Perfect get away to a wee gem!
We booked Harbour Cottage in Gardenstown for a week’s staycation and we’re delighted that we did, we had a great time! Cosy, clean and perfectly situated for the harbour and the beach, the view from the bedroom was sublime. My husband and I took our dog with us and she settled in really well. As it was our wedding anniversary, the owner, Sue, was very helpful suggesting nice places to eat. We eventually booked a table at The Banff Springs Hotel and we’re so glad we did, the food was wonderful and we had the BEST table in the restaurant (number 19) where we had a view of the beach and the sea! We also ate at the Garden Arms Hotel in Gardenstown and partook in fish and chips from the visiting fish and chip van in the village, both were excellent! There are plenty places to visit in the area and joining ‘I Love Gardenstown’ helped immensely with more suggestions of things to do and see! We would highly recommend Harbour Cottage especially if you’re bringing your dog!

Needs an upgrade.
Clean and quite adequate. For two people, the cottage is over-furnished downstairs - two dining tables (one would do), 5 chairs (two, maybe three would do), and a space-filling coffee table. The kitchen is well resourced but the units, adapted to accommodate a washing machine, fit badly.
Books, CD's and DVD's should have been removed during COVID19.
The bathroom needs attention with ill-fitting shower doors and over use of silicone sealant. The floor needs to be re-varnished. The huge corner bath is unnecessary and probably un-fillable from the water tank.
This property could realise £100 per night if brought up to a good standard. As it is, the price is, disappointingly, about right.

Harbour Cottage, Gardenstown.
Gardenstown is absolutely lovely. The people are so friendly and welcoming. The food at the pub is really good and the beer is excellent.
We stayed at Harbour Cottage. The place is brilliant, is clean and has everything you need. The BT WiFi works perfectly and the TV is plenty large enough. My only minor gripe is that there’s no freezer. This wasn’t really a problem though, as there’s a decent shop 5 minutes walk away on Main St.
If you’re considering booking Harbour Cottage, don’t hesitate, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful house in a great location.
We stayed in this lovely, homely cottage from 22 - 29 September 2019. The house is warm, comfortable, clean and very nicely furnished. The location, right by the harbour, is beautiful. Gardenstown is a very beautiful village and this house is a great place to stay. You are within easy reach of many lovely beaches and spectacular stretches of the coast. The local people are very friendly and there is a great pub in the village.

been there, done it, but came back again !!
my wife and i came here 2 years back and rated it top class.
I dont usually go back to the same place, prefering to keep moving onwards.
However, loving both the cottage and Gardenstown, we visited again this year.
Cottage still just as clean and cosy and we were not disappointed in any way .
Its all been said by others........but i can only say that we'll be back again !!
Just wondering Susan.......if we come back again, do we get any discount ??????
