3 of us stayed at Morrison Cottage. It was lovely! The cottage was perfectly clean and very well kitted out. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and lovely - one had views over the fields. The lounge was nice and airy, with big windows overlooking the fields/hills, and it has very comfy couches and a TV. The kitchen had everything you could need (the appliances were very good). The bathroom was very clean as well and it had a nice shower. The location was great - only a 5-minute drive to Carbost. We ate at Cafe Cuil (delicious!) and The Old Inn (great views!). Dorothy was very quick to reply to my emails. We had such a lovely stay! We'll certainly come back and maybe rent more than one cottage with family. PS: We were lucky to stay during lambing season and they were very cute...

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for for our 3 night stay on the Isle of Skye. The cottage was very clean and spacious and well equipped. It was the perfect location for touring the island. We were very comfortable and the facilities were very good.

Ruhig und idyllisch gelegenes Cottage mit Seeblick ca. eine halbe Autostunde von Portree entfernt und wenige Fahrminuten von der Tallisker Destillery in Carbost. Zugleich ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der gesamten Insel. Wir haben hier 10 entspannte Tage verbracht und sehr viel gesehen in der Zeit. Das Cottage ist für 4-köpfige Familien oder 4 Erwachsene geeignet, gut mit allem ausgestattet, umfangreiches Material zum Wandern oder Radfahren vorhanden. Nebenan ein zweites Cottage Wand an Wand - etwas hellhörig, wenn Schnarcher dort schlafen. Die Doppelbetten (1,40 m Breite!) waren leider schon etwas durchgelegen.

We had a lovely three night stay at the cottage! The location is great: Very close to the Fairy Pools and Glenbrittle Beach. The tiny town of Carbost is just a few miles away with a nice restaurant and a super small, but well-stocked general store. I was nervous about staying so far from Portree since that seems to be the hub of activity on Skye, but we *vastly* preferred staying in Carbost to the madhouse or Portree with all of the tour groups and busses. If you are looking for a more authentic, "local" experience, this is the place for you! The cottage itself is lovely. Comfortable beds and a nice kitchen and shower with abundant hot water. Dorothy provides everything you need for a great stay, including all kitchenware and some nice extras (seasonings, cooking oil, extra towels, etc.), comfortable bedding, and lots of information brochures, etc. on the surrounding area. There is plenty of space to spread out and make yourself comfortable. Sheep roam right outside the door! It is really a fantastic place for a getaway. Dorothy was super communicative and provided clear information on how to find and access the property. The only downside is no wifi which we didn't realize going in, That's an issue only because cell service was very spotty in the area. There is wifi at the Old Inn in Carbost, but it's very slow. If wifi is a dealbreaker for you, know this going in. We would love to return some day!

Merveilleux cottage, très bien situé. Calme et dépaysement assurés ! Cottage très bien tenu, propre, bien équipé. Dorothy fait tout son possible pour rendre service. Je conseille sans hésiter ! Nous avons facilement visité l’ile à partir du cottage, très central. Wonderful cottage, very well situated. Peace and disorientation assured ! Very clean, well equipped cottage. Dorothy does her utmost to do a service. I advise(recommend) without hesitating ! We easily visited the island from the cottage, very central.

Location in Satran near Carbost is ideal for exploring the Cuillins and western part of Skye but not far from Portree and the rest of the island as well. Apartment is quiet, well equipped, and has nice access to even more scenic hills above Loch Harport. local sheep and bunnies were amusing.

Perfect in location, stuff and cleanliness. Nothing to criticize, best choice! The pub "The Old Inn" in Carbost has very original flair and is near by the cottage.

We booked Morrison, Heatherbell was available, offered to swap right before arrival. Heatherbell was a wonderful home, very well equipped and cared for. Great location to get to most things on the island within half an hour of driving. Stunning panoramic views, truly a 5 star accommodation. We will definitely be back and be renting for Dorothy again.
