Good but could be cleaner
The shower had to be cleaned and the shower doors were hanging off.
Oven was dirty also.
Beds and towels were lovely and clean but to be honest the whole place could have done with a good deep clean.
Good location and hosts were very friendly. Just a pity about the cleanliness issues.

Lovely rural views
Quite a nice stay in a quiet rural location with distant water views. The cottage was spacious but it needed some further cleaning. The microwave was quite dirty inside and the shower hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The bedrooms were both up in the roof space and became quite stuffy and hot during the day when the weather wasn’t even warm. I wouldn’t like to sleep there in summer. The main bed was very hard and didn’t even have a mattress protector on it.

Great location, Friendly owner
We visited in mid-September.
Brian was a gracious host.
He'll drop in, say hey -- and if you have questions he's got the answers for anything around.
Gave us a few ideas during our stay.
The cottage is a great place to kick back and relax. Definitely nice to have separate rooms.
I really had no negatives about this place.
You might even get to meet the family dog who runs around.

Great views and location, and friendly welcome
Good sized cottage with fantastic views out over Galway Bay towards County Clare and the Aran Islands - you can watch the weather roll in and the sunsets for a long time. Very handy for Barna and Galway each only minutes away, and Silverstrand beach, whilst set amid fields and bogland. Very friendly and helpful welcome from Brian, with lots of tips and deep wells of local knowledge. We had a bit of a mix up over the booking but it was all dealt with very smoothly. Lots of useful bits and bobs and thoughtful things around the house, an excellent selection of books too, and look out for hares on the road!

Irish hospitality at its best
Brian and Mary were prefect hosts and made our stay in this lovely cottage both relaxing and welcoming.
We were staying to attending a family wedding and they could not have been more accommodating to us. The cottage was comfortable and well maintained, with everything you need in the kitchen. The setting was tranquil and the dog loved the freedom to run around.
Highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking to stay in Galway but still enjoy the quietness of the Barna.

Better than advertised
The location and views are amazing with stunning walks right out the front door. It's also a convenient location to Galway and many other wonderful sites. We arrived after a very long trip to a clean and well appointed house. Brian, our host was terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our "Walking Tour" of Galway with Mr. Brian Nolan and would strongly recommend. His advice on tracking down our relations and his recommendations on day trips won't be forgotten. We look forward to going back and we did enjoy meeting Puff.

Lovely quiet location. Very comfortable
Close to Barna village, about 15 minutes from Galway. Thanks to our host Brian's great advice, we spent 2 days touring the area and had a great time. We would love to visit here again and would recommend this place to anyone.

Well taken care of❤
The house was in perfect condition, accommodating our every need and perfect for little ones. Brian was extremely helpful and resourceful. The area is gorgeous, with lovely views and trails in each direction. Puff was also a great host, greeting us every time we'd come back from an adventure. The beach is not far away from here, as are parks and the aquarium. Galway was a quick drive. Loved the variety of books and dvds.

fantastique
it was a fantastic destination : Brian is very sympathique and he took a lot of time to explain us and show us the area to visit the beautiful places of connemara. We wwill come again and stay longer.

Perfect Place to Stay
this spacious, well appointed and comfortable cottage is the perfect place to stay in Conamara. It has beautiful views out to the sea.
Brian the owner is very helpful in making suggestions for places to visit. He responds promptly to emails and the directions he gave on how to find the property were perfect.
Puff the dog is very friendly and will come and pay visits.
I know watching DVDs is probably not high on the list to do on holiday but if there is a spare 90 minutes then do watch 'Into the West' from the collection of DVDs in the cottage. It's a rather charming film.
We had great days out to Innis Moir the largest of the Aran islands, Kylemore Abbey, Galway City and the Killary Fjord boat trip.
