We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children, 6 & 9 years old) and we took our holiday in August 2019, we took the Ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe then drove the 2 and a bit hours to LA DIV’IN arriving late afternoon. Xavier was already at the property waiting for us, he showed us around the property telling as much as he could in his broken English & our even more broken French (we all managed to understand each other in the end).
The property is great, all the rooms are large, the heated pool is a joy, the garden gets the early afternoon sun right through to the evening, the lounge has a large TV (Netflix is available in English), the games room was a great bonus but keeping the children off the drums was difficult, the kitchen had everything we needed including a dishwasher, the utility room has the washing machine, iron and ironing board, plenty of parking out the front for several cars.
Xavier keeps some animals on site the sheep are in a field towards the front of the property and are not a bother, the chickens live next to the sheep and are often seen walking around the front of the property Xavier keeps chicken feed in the utility room and asked us to feed them in the morning very easy to do and the children loved doing it.
The property is located in a small village, a car is a must for getting to the shops and for days out we had some really great days out, we went to the D Day landing beeches, museums, Bayeux, a large zoo, kayaking and some great walks, there is plenty to do but you will need to drive to the locations all of our days out were between 15 minutes and an hour & 45 minute’s drive but all very well worth it.
One of the best holidays we have had and a great property to stay in, great for small to large groups way more rooms than we needed as a group of 4, we would defiantly recommend the property.
