Gamine & colleagues are the best you can get
Nicest bed, dreamt a lot
Gamine and his colleagues are very friendly, the food is good. The environnement with the lake, the garden, the pool ideal for families with kids. We had only 2 days but it was realy worth it. Thanks! Namaste

Peaceful paradise in Yala
A wonderful place in the middle of nature. Access by car is difficult, but totally worth it. It was nice that a bigger Safari car was organized to meet us on the way. The manager (Gamini) is very accommodating and super friendly. We stayed Deluxe Bungalow - An incredibly specious villa. The whole area is very quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. The property even has its own observation tower where you can enjoy the sunset in the evening and the sunrise in the morning. The food was delicious and wonderful. The BBQ bonfire dinner was very special and memorable.
A perfect place to stay if you want to go on a Yala Safari. Safari offered by the hotel is a bit expensive, so consider different options if possible. All in all.. A nice place to stay in Sri Lanka for sure.

Beautiful villa ...few bits to work on...
This was our big treat accommodation during our time in Sri Lanka...some aspects were better than expected and some aspects could have been better. The villa is architecturally incredible, the bathrooms mind blowing and the slide down the stairs fabulous. We loved the accommodation and it had everything you could want. Check in was a bit slow and the tour around the place suite unnecessary but seems fairly standard in Sri Lanka even though when you've been on the road a while you just want to get in and close the door. Maybe hear all the bumph once we've settled in a bit.
Food was good especially the pumpkin curry though smoothie bowls look better that they taste but that's entirely my opinion.
We went on safari with Nelson and before departure were prompted by the manager I believe to tip him well. We found this quite unclassy for this quality of accommodation and very uncomfortable.
Nelson took us on safari and spotted lots of animals including a leopard which we were thrilled about but was fairly aloof/ unfriendly throughout. He did nothing above and beyond the job he has but we tipped as felt we'd been encouraged to do this. Just a bit awks.
The area surrounding the hotel is barren scrubland and not so appealing.
Overall I'd say the accommodation is beautiful and good value but service would benefit from a few tweaks.

Amazing stay for Yala Safari
We had our second time within 6 months at Wild Lotus Yala, we absolutely in love with this place.
The apartment is clean, comfortable, has A/C and fan in it. We loved the pool to chill, the dogs are super friendly, the staff is amazing, particularly Sudu who were our Safari guide as well. He has amazing experience to entertain and guide you properly during your stay. You have to try the food here as well it's amazing. The hotel has it's own Land Rover whicle for up to 6prs. It's comfortable, safe which is the most important during a Safari drive.
Highly recommended, and you can trust the hotel in terms of transportation, food and hospitality. No doubt, this is the best place in Yala, highly recommended!

Hidden Gem
We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa for 2 nights and it was the perfect getaway we wanted. We had a bbq on the first night and dinner was served with a bonfire arrangement.
The place is super cosy and kids friendly. It has very spacious rooms and each bathroom has an outdoor shower area. The pool area is so beautiful snd relaxing. There are plenty of fruit trees in the property and don’t forget to try the yummiest mangoes if you happen to stay during the mango season.
Kristin, Madu and their staff ( Sudu and others) have been so friendly and ensured we had the best time possible.
Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Yala/ Tissa area. You will not be disappointed.

Charming location and wonderful staff
We thoroughly recommend this experience and would love to revisit. Quietly beautiful surroundings, extremely helpful and hard working staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you to Maduranga and all the team. And especial thanks to Sudu - excellent driver, guide.

Perfect stay
Wow, it was exceptional. The staff was very very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for making our stay extra special. The pool and the area was so unique and so beautiful. Love the bathtub and outdoor shower. The entire place was so beautiful. Also, I love their food. This place was well maintained with lots of facilities like trampolines, bicycles, sports equipment, and etc.. Also they arrange a Bonfire and BBQ's dinner for us. The staff is kind and attentive. Lovely place, highly recommended !!

A great place to stay for a group or family
We booked the entire property for 2 night and had a great time. The rooms are spacious, clean with good A/C, beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious with large baths, showers and plentiful hot water. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful, with fantastic home cooked food - your choice. The gardens are well maintained with a selection of pets to admire. The pool is large and great for a dip or a swim. Great location for Yala safaris. Although in a rural location no issues with insect pests.
Ideal for families or groups of friends and much better than a hotel. Recommended it most highly

Absolutely perfect
Thank you so much to everyone at wild lotus you all did your bit to make our stay sensational!
We stayed in the bungalow for two nights and loved every moment, it is so comfortable and the pool is my favorite in the whole of Sri Lanka!! Added to this the wonderful grounds with the goats and buffalo and you have the perfect holiday setting. The father of the owner is also a credit to the villa and made our stay even more memorable with his stories and information, he even showed us the cobra he had caught that morning!
Delicious rice and curry as well !
Oh and the bath is fantastic and perfect for after a dusk safari to see leopards. We stayed 2 nights and could easily have stayed longer, a real treasure in yala, thank you again everyone .
