A large town house about 20 minutes walk from the sea and backing onto the golf course. We enjoyed our stay here but it was let down by the management company. As we were staying for three weeks we expected our towels and beds to be changed. This only happened after the first week when we chased them up. A second change was promised the following week but this never happened either. When we collected the keys from the agent the pool key was missing so another trip to them to sort this out. The house has everything to make your stay comfortable but is a bit cluttered. The outside areas were very good but had not been maintained or cleaned with many pots full of dying or dead plants,likewise the little garden! We had to scrub the outside tables before we could use them and didn't even attempt to use the bbq! We did enjoy our stay here but the house could of been so much better with a bit of TLC.

Amazing house with lots of space, two outdoor seating areas and views from the roof terrace, ideal for watching the sunset over the golf course. Perfect location with only a 15 minute walk to the beach and Port Duquesa where there are many bars and restaurants (favorites being La Traviata, Sabor Toscano, Cubanga and El Capitano). Nick, the owner was very helpful and responded to all my requests and questions by return email. Only negative point to make is that the community pool is not child friendly. There are two pools that are both too deep to stand and I was unable to take my granddaughter in. Would have made sense to have one child friendly. Would definitely go back again.

Hemos pasado mi familia de cuatro miembros 10 días de relajación, ya que el entorno de la casa es muy tranquilo.La vivienda en si es muy confortable, está muy bien equipada al detalle.El entorno de la vivienda es como lo describe Nick, el propietario,sin ningún adorno. Hemos tenido cuidado en seguir sus indicaciones de seguridad y no hemos tenido ningún problema en ningún momento. Tuvimos una incidencia con la antena del TV, pero para cuando volvimos de la playa , ya se habían encargado los de la agencia de solucionarlo. Rapidísimo. Muy cerca teniamos la playa.Se puede ir andando perfectamente por la pasarela,y tambien igual de cerca teníamos los supermercados Dia y Eroski. Gran variedad de restaurantes en el puerto deportivo de la Duquesa. La verdad es que no hemos tenido ninguna pega. Gracias Nick por dejarnos estar en tu vivienda. Saludos,Montaña.

Very much enjoyed our stay here, very nice house with lots of space & everything we needed to make the holiday go well, and the location was great, just a 10 minute or so walk to the beach and marina. There are 2 pools and we had the lower one to ourselves most of the time which was great. Hope very much to return again.

Belle Villa globalement bien équipée à proximité des piscines et de la plage par une passerelle. Propriétaire réactif intervenu notamment auprès de l'agence DUQUESA Estate pour le ménage qui n'avait pas été fait à notre arrivée (ménage + réfrigérateur non dégivré) En termes d'environnement la villa est situé aux abords d'un golf peu entretenu. A déplorer à proximité un hôtel desaffecté à proximité et non éclairé le soir (pas très rassurant). Nous avons malheureusement été visités un soir ou nous étions sortis, nous nous sommes fait voler ordinateurs, tablettes, montres, appareils photos, parfum .. Restez vigilants du côté terrasse qui donne sur le golf.. bref de quoi gâcher la fin de notre séjour .....

Just returned from a fantastic 2 wk holiday in DUQUESA. Thankyou nick for letting us stay at your beautiful house which was just perfect. We shall definitely be returning in the near future.

Lovely townhouse, very homely. We had a great weeks holiday and didn't want to come home. Great location. We didn't need a car

La Duquesa is a small but lively marina area with a wide variety of restaurants and bars. The marina and beach area are 5-10 minutes walk from the accommodation . The walk is over a footbridge over a busy road, but perfectly safe. The beach, like many on Costa del Sol, is not fine sand but more shale. There are showers, beach bars and amenities including parasols and loungers to hire. You can organise boat trips, paddle boards, canoes and a banana boat ride from the marina area. The old castle near by and the small village of Castillo adds an extra dimension. The house is well equipped , light and airy , and with air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms and the lounge too. It backs onto the golf course so there are pleasant views. We didnt try the course although it looks a bit run down , but I believe has just been taken over so plans may be afoot for some investment. We really liked that you could sit in different outside areas of the house according to whether you wanted sun or shade and being a family with grown up kids this meant we could have our own space away from each other if needed! The decor is a bit dated and the garden area not well maintained but the house is clean, comfortable, homely and and well stockedwith everything you need to feel at home. The shared pool area is less than a minute from the house and has 2 medium sized pools with loungers and parasols. It is clean and well maintained and when we were there it was surprisingly quiet. We had to take our own pool towels but good quality house towels were provided. The house is close to a large disused hotel, so although the street Jardines del Golf is attractive with the white washed facades you have to walk past the old hotel to get to the footbridge and that gives the area a but more of a run down feel. If you want to be at the quieter end of Costa del Sol I would recommend this area and 9 Jardines de Golf offers good sized accomodation and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price.

Just got back today from La Duquesa. The holiday rental is lovely. Large, very clean with everything you need. The marina is a short walk away and the Castillo area is worth a visit. We played golf at La Duquesa a few times, quite a challenging course and great for €30 euros. Cheaper price due to the golf club changing hands. The pool area during the day is very quiet, often we had the pool to ourselves. On a night the marina caters for everyone. Special mention to the Kinderee Thai restaurant and new bar Gecko's. If you prefer a quite drink and tapas then El Refugio's is great by the Castillo. This is the third time around Caseres/ La Duquesa area, love the spanish feel and will definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed at this property with another couple for one week. The house was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a real home from home experience and is super comfortable. The location is right next to the lovely pools and it is only a ten minute stroll to the beaches and the port of Duquesa with its many bars and restaurants. The property was spotlessly clean and the arrival and departure arrangements were really smooth and simple. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and I look forward to visiting again soon. I honestly can't think of anything that was less than perfect!
