Great villa, beautiful place, a place to go and go back!
We loved
- the villa and its situation
- the rooms/beds which were very comfortable
- the decoration and all amenities
We loved less the fact
- that the house was not really clean when we arrived (fridge, doors, loo, etc.)
- that the cook, despite being a true sweetheart, was not very qualified and was totally unable to cook a full meal for 9 people 3 times a day, in fact note even one meal a day!
- that the housekeepers, despite being asked not to do so, kept changing towels and sheets too often
- that the whole staff is very little concerned about saving nature and environment
We also think that the sharing of tasks should be reviewed, the staff shouldn't wash the dishes with soap under running hot water before putting them in the dishwasher and wipe them again afterwards (!), the cook shouldn't have to clean the kitchen, pots and so on, the 2 other ladies would have plenty of time to do so! A laundress is certainly not necessary, especially if sheets and towels wouldn't be changed so often. Who does this at home?
Their working hours should be reviewed. Impossible to have a cooked breakfast before the arrival of the cook at 9, and then she does the pots/stove from the night before! Impossible to have a proper dinner cooked, served and the kitchen cleaned with someone very slow working from 5 to 8 pm. Cooking, eating and cleaning cannot be achieved in 3 hours! We ended up cooking, cleaning, etc., ourselves and gave the afternoon off to the staff many days!
Impossible to have 3 meals between 9 am and 8 pm, including preparation , eating and cleaning!

Belair is the best!
The best location on the West Coast. I should know, I was brought just North of Mullins. Elegant & relaxed with all of the modern services WiFi, free calls to the UK, USA, & Canada. The staff were outstanding, well informed, convivial & expert! Ask Roseanne to cook Mahi Mahi!

Low key luxury beach front vacation
We have been to Barbados about 6 times and have stayed at different facilities and parts of the island. This has been by far our best experience on the island. The ease of access to the beach spoiled us for anything less.The staff truly made it a real vacation, our lovely chef cooked us delicious bajan meals daily, always prepared with a smile, the head of staff always made sure our needs were met, rental was continually being cleaned; towels replaced , beach toys
cleaned ,.... better than any 5 star hotel.

Paradise!
We were a group of 8 adults, family and friends, and spent 2 weeks at Belair in November. The villa is in an idyllic position on the beach, overlooking the beautiful Caribbean, and everything is just as pictured on the website. We spent most of our time on the lovely terrace, enjoying the beach and the swimming. The beach bar is only a 2 minute walk away and has good live music on a Sunday evening.
The villa staff looked after us very well, Roseanne is a great cook, and Janice and her housekeeping team were very friendly and efficient.
We'd love to go back one day!

The Belair experience lives up to all expectations
Belair, situated on Mullins Beach is in an idyllic location. Right on the beach!
The house is shaded by mature trees & shrubs, so even at the hottest times the patio is a cooler refuge, yet still close to all the family action. This is my favorite places on the island!
Inside the house is well appointed with aircon in all the bedrooms. Elegant yet simple & without the pretensions of some properties.
The staff are just the best! Friendly, competent, ready to have fun & well informed.

Villa Belair
This was our first visit to Barbados and the Caribbean. This location was recommended by Kuoni after I explained what I was looking for - a beach family holiday. Perfect location and if anything it is better than the photos, as normally crafty photography hides the dodgy bits! Barbados itself is in need of infrastructure spending and some of the roads are not! However, lovely experience and jolly people so good memories for our party of 10 and can’t wait to go back. If you intend to eat out takes lots of cash, as very expensive for ok restaurants, at least 40% more than UK!
