Belle location à Laborie
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans l'appartement de Gill et David. Il est idéalement situé par rapport à la plage et aux commerces de ce petit village de pêcheurs. La vue est très belle.
Nos hôtes ont été charmants et attentionnés.
Nous recommandons sans problème cette location bien plus authentiques que les grands ensembles hôteliers du nord de l'île.

Charming place with good location.
I had a wonderful stay, the apartment is quaint with nice character, and impeccably clean. There is a view of the ocean from the front windows, and the property is very secure (I didn't lock my door or windows the whole time I was there). The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook for yourself, and Gillian and David are super hosts and very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and only a 5-10 minute walk to the middle of Laborie. I would definitely recommend this rental to everyone, but with the following cautions: If you don't have a car, the walk home is up a very steep hill. It's not a marathon but it could be a challenge if you have mobility issues. There is no air conditioning but with the windows open and the fans on it wasn't an issue for me. There is no TV and the wifi was a little spotty (useable but not strong enough for netflix, etc), but if you're there to unwind and are ok with a good book you'll be fine, I welcomed the forced disconnect. One more thing, there's not really an area to lounge around outside. There is a little garden area in the back but it's enclosed with no view or breeze, so keep that in mind. It didn't bother me at all as I was out and about all day every day, and the pier and the beach is only a 5 minute walk down the hill.

Nice and spacious Apartment
Laborie is a little fishermen village close to the International Airport. The Apartment is located on a hill, and by foot you'll only need five minutes to the beach and local restaurants. You have to eat and drink Cocktails at Wilson's (directly at the Beach where the swing is). The bakery in the village serves great creole bread, cakes and buns.
Gill is a very caring host and gives a lot of recommendations what to do and see in Laborie and St. Lucia. The Apartment has warm water, is well equipped and was absolutey clean.
If you are looking for a pristine caribbean holiday, this is the right for you.
There are also other nice beaches that can be reached by car or Minibus (Piaye Beach).
We recommend to bring ear plugs for sleeping (dog barks and cock crows).

Wonderful Saint Lucian Getaway
The Golden Apple is up the hill overlooking the bay and a brief walk to the quaint fishing village of Laborie. Gill and David were great, friendly and informative. We loved their dogs Lily and Zack (toy football in his mouth). Their apartment met all our expectations being clean, well equipped and having a homey feel.
Don't miss eating at Mama Tilly's our go to restaurant.
We highly recommend staying here if you're planing a Saint Lucia vacation with a local feel !!!

Great apartment, spotlessly clean with everything we needed. David & Gill were very helpful. Beautiful island, friendly people. We will be back! Recommend you hire a car to explore the island.

Quiet area
It is about 5 miles north of Vieux Fort. It is next to the ocean. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Also has a small shop in the village

Love it!
My boyfriend and I stayed with Gill and Dave for 7 nights of the 14 we spent in St Lucia and it was just perfect for us. It was by far my favourite in comparison to the much pricier bed & breakfast we stayed at in nearby Soufriere.
The place its self is extremely clean, out of the entire week I had only seen a total of 2 bugs in our apartment. It is more like a guesthouse, which is adjacent to where Gill & Dave live so they will say hi or bye if they are around. Our experience in Laborie would not have been the same without the help of Gill and Dave who were beyond generous and kind people! Not in the slightest did I EVER feel as if my privacy was being compromised or that I was being "checked up on" as a previous guest had mentioned on a review of their other apartment. If you are the type of person that does not want to speak to anyone on vacation then I would suggest letting your hosts know or going to an all inclusive.
Gill would be so kind to take away the garbage every other day or so, to ensure it would not stink up the place, or small things like pick up a towel on the floor or straighten out a bed sheet. Nothing more.
Laborie is a very special place. The people who live there are some of the nicest. I would suggest going to Mama Tilly's on the first night as she can cook up a mean BBQ. Barely to no tourists. There were two beaches by the village within 10-15 minute walking distance (we much preferred the secluded one). We did all of our grocery shopping in one trip thanks to Yarde, our driver, who we were referred to. You can pick up some produce at the morning market as well and other kitchen staples in the village which is closer than the beach. The kitchen was as good as home! Well equipped. We did not know what to expect before arriving as it is a very small town but the moment Our hosts greeted us upon arrival, We knew we had made the right choice.

OK little cottage
This is a clean well done little cottage on the hill overlooking the genuine fishing village of Laborie. It is well equipped and the hosts are accommodating and informative with lots of good advice. The description is a bit mis-leading as there is barely a view unless you stand on tippy toes. There is a tiny confining back yard and sadly no deck to hang out on. It is an OK value as long as you plan to be out and about. The village is very authentic - like the Caribbean was a long time ago. The beach on the north end of the cove is lovely. Miss Tilly's is good local food. The place is happy- the babies don't even cry! One warning - this is a real neighborhood in the Caribbean- not too quiet - lots of dogs and roosters.

We stayed here for a week at the end of December. We were welcomed by David at the airport with a big smile and we felt instantly at home, he brought us to the apartment en route pointing out grocery store, atm, etc etc. First off - Gillian and David are just lovely, very down to earth and nothing is too much trouble. The apartment is up a very steep hill, we knew this before we booked, but if you do have any knee or hip problems, best to get a car for the duration, we were one day without one and David ran us to the supermarket and picked us up from the beach as well. The apartment has a good sized kitchen and living area with a bedroom - our only pick would be we found the mattress very hard, but this is a personal thing. We had our own private garden to sit in where we supped our rums and listened to the children playing steel band music in the village. Laborie is just lovely, truly un spoilt with only a handful of tourists - a beautiful bay, good swimming and very friendly locals - try to time your visit for the Laborie Festoon, a once a month I think first Friday of the month party where you can eat fish, lobster (cheaply) listen to music, see stilt walkers and more and it was fabulous. I highly recommend this accommodation and owners, at all times you will feel welcome and safe.

Great time at Bayview Golden Apple
This is a really sweet condominium; spotless with very nice amenities. Yes, there is a lovely view from the kitchen. The host was very nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about things that made my stay much more enjoyable, including delicious food. I didn't rent a car but the host was able to connect me with safe and reasonably priced transportation, so I was able to go sightseeing without any difficulty. There are actually two nearby beaches, I preferred the more secluded one, but both are spectacular. I would definitely return to this condo; staying there made my vacation in St. Lucia simply wonderful.
