Not the easiest place to find however a hidden gem.The view is breathtaking and the pool over looks the surrounding mountains. You will find produce available to buy,olive oil, wine,cheese,meat,herbs and jams all at very good price and fantastic quality. The apartment is clean however no aircon and as it was extremely hot I found the sheets felt clammy and unclean.make sure and wear moskito spray as they are rife apart from that an excellent little spot,tranquil and beautiful with a lovely host.

L' agriturismo est situé au calme sur les hauteurs de Vernio. Nous avions un gite juste en face de la belle piscine c'était très agréable. Notre fils de 22mois pouvait aller jouer dehors en sécurité, il y a aussi les cheveaux et les cochons. Les propriétaires habitent sur place donc si on a besoin ils sont présent mais restent très discrets. Moyennant un supplémant Maria-Cristina vous prépare un repas formidable. Seul bémol la route d'accès est un peu difficile mais les bonnes choses se méritent!!

We spent a week here and it was an excellent stay. The simple, but comfortable self- catering apartments were perfect. Lovely pool and clean air as you are in the foothills of the mountains. Great location for day trips to Florence in the train just over an hour, or drive to Siena in about 2. The hosts were wonderful and will cook you delicious Tuscan meals whenever you like. Excellent,

We learned about Agriturismo Corboli from a friend who stayed there and had a great time. So we booked a week in late June. We were there 7 days and we were able to see/do the following: Day trip to Pisa and Lucca, Day trip to Florence, Day trip to Venice via train, Day trip to two wineries south of Florence and Greve, Horse lesson and riding for my teenagers, We also took two days and just relaxed by the pool. We had teenagers so the pool and free wifi was a big hit. Maria Christina and Mazzio were such great guests. We purchased four fabulous meals during our stay cooked by Maria and each included pasta, fresh vegetables/fruits from the garden and delicious meats. Provided free (notice I like free things) was distilled and sparkling water cold. We didn't have to buy water once during the week. Kitchen was complete with stove, refrig and microwave so we cooked many of our meals. My daughter loved walking around the farm and checking on the animals, especially the horses! Our villa was very spacious according to Euro standards. Our two teenagers had a room upstairs to themselves. Downstairs we had a kitchen with all the amenties, two baths and a bedroom. Sitting outside on the patio at the table was my favorite spot as I could use my laptop in the morning with my coffee. We had a large Ford van (Galaxy) which was sometimes difficult to manage the narrow Tuscan roads but that is the charm. We just took it slow and oncoming cars were very nice and accomading to let our family truckster pass. We drove most places but also used the train station which is a 7 minute drive down to Vernio. I also walked down to Vernio. The trip back up the hill to the resort was steep but only took me 20 minutes at a good pace. Its about 1.5km Mario Christina and Mazzio spoke good english which was nice for since we don't speak anything but English. They gave us a lot of good infomation about things to see and do while there. When we left at 7:30 am at the end of our week., Maria Chritina and Mazzio met us and Maria Christina gave us a bag of italian biscuits for the road. How super nice of them. All in all, a great Italian week. Ciao!!

You don't NEED a car for this property unless you want to tour in which case we recommend a small 4x4 to negotiate the VERY steep access road from Vernio. Ask your hire company for an older vehicle with a few stone chips on it already as a number of the more exciting back roads turn into tracks and some of those tracks vary from challenging to impassable for any but high wheel based 4x4's but these tracks allow you access to some absolutely stunning and secret scenery that you won't be sharing with anyone else. There are frequent trains between Vernio and Firenze (changing at Prato - dead easy) and train travel is affordable (adult day return for this route 15 euros for the 50 minute journey. Agriturismo Corboli is beautifully positioned high up in the Northern most part of Tuscany in the area locally known as the Mugello. The views and sunsets are simply stunning. If you want a place to unwind - this is it. The Corboli family are quite charming, very helpful, ever so accommodating and they cook some delicious meals using locally sourced ingrediants, most of which are grown on the farm. All the cottages and appartments at Corboli are reasonably well equipped and have their own private terraces with table, chairs and sun loungers. The roads are steep and narrow and take some getting used to but that is part of the charm of Tuscany - if it were too easy, it would be ruined by now.

The property was a little hard to find however with tomtom and some directions from the owner we made it there. The apartment we stayed in was very basic, yet adequate for our needs. The owner Cristina prepared a meal for us the first night and it was fantastic. She also sells some of her own products, such as biscuits and jam that are truely wonderful. The only down side was a lack of hot water, it was just luke warm when we arrived but by the third night was steaming hot. Also there is no TV where we stayed, i thought there was one when i booked, but we had a laptop and wifi so no big deal we eventually got used to the quite and enjoyed it.
