Villa très bien équipée et décorée avec accès direct sur le lagon. Nous avons passé une semaine fabuleuse dans ce décor de rêve. Le personnel de maison est discret et bienveillant. Elles sont toutes les 2 de très bonnes cuisinières. Le club de kite est accessible à pied par la plage

price/service and what you get relation is fantastic! Others have said all it needs to say in fellow reviews, I just want to confirm all the good things by 100! Just adding that July is also a very good month to stay at Villa Piroga (wrongly informed, I had brought along many long sleeve sweaters and leggins but at the end we used only swimming suit and Pareos ...! (Well ok, to sit on the beach in the evening and watch the stars, a small sweater is welcomed ..). We are looking forward to our next stay at villa la Piroga!

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Piroga. It felt like paradise and we could not have wished for a better holiday home! It lies right on a beautiful beach with turquoise water. Perfect to enjoy some nice beach walks, but the section in front of the house actually feels private. Bathing here was superb! The house is modern, homey and decorated thoughtfully. The two housemaids are a delight: very friendly and kind, they came every day (in turns) to service the house, which was spotlessly clean. Both of them are excellent cooks, their meals absolutely delicious! (ask them to prepare Mauritian meals). We were surprised to find some nice snorkeling right in front of the house. We also saw many people kitesurfing not far away on the beach, so I assume it is a good Kitespot during winter. (Kiteschool 5min walk) There are a few restaurants around and the supermarket is 5min away by car. Excellent stay and a holiday we will not forget. Highly recommend Villa Piroga!

Séjour fabuleux : la réalité est encore mieux que les photos de l’annonce ! Personnel très attentionné. D’apres ce que nous avons vu, c’est le coin de l’ile le plus agréable à cette saison à condition d’avoir les pieds dans l’eau.

We visited with 6 perons and it was amazing. In front of the house there is the most beautiful reef of Mauritius. Just a couple minutes by car and you have a nice market and a supermarket. The staff in the house were amazing, very friendly and assertive. They were willing to help you with anything and everything they cooked was amazing. The house itself is beautiful aswell. The rooms are better than any hotel and the view is wonderful. The owner of the house swung by one time and gave us some lovely honey.

A lovely, family friendly home in a beautiful setting. The staff were amazing and made us feel right at home. We had an awesome trip and loved the fact that we were not in the middle of the touristy spots. A real treat! We will definitely be going back!

Great villa directly beachfront with a marvelous view. The housekeeping makes sure there is nothing left to be desired. There is a lot of marine life and some corals if you are into snorkeling, the shallow waters are nice for swimming. The second largest city is close by and the villa is easily reached from the airport (15min).

The location is in the perfect location with stunning views. The villa is situated with the beach on your doorstep and is modern, spacious and ideal for a family holiday. The two maids Ashwani and Shalini cleaned the villa, did all our washing and cooked us delicious meals every day. They even arranged a birthday lunch for my son decorating the apartment in true Mauritian style. I cannot thank them enough for all they did and for making us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend staying in this villa.

Our group of 4 stayed at the fabulous La Piroga in May 2014. This very modern, beautifully decorated and spacious villa is immaculately kept by the lovely Ashwani (apologies if I’ve spelled that incorrectly!), the villa’s maid. On arrival we were met by Regine who was also lovely and very helpful. We were especially bowled over by the stunning view as you walk to the back of the villa. It sits right on the beach, with a large garden and decked seating area. All of the bedrooms are beautiful, but the master is especially awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed Ashwani’s delicious lunches on the large table by the beach. There are plenty of trees to provide shade if needed. There is also a Kayak, boat and a bbq for use. Although the garden backs directly onto the beach, it feels really private, as does the beach itself. We felt like it was our own, as the villa shares the bay only with the next door villa. The beach/bay isn’t huge, but has beautiful talc like sand in parts. It is possible to walk the beach all the way along to Blue Bay or near to Ille aux Aigrettes the other way. The sunrises were absolutely divine and the sunsets were pretty spectacular too! The sea was mostly very calm due to the natural breaker that forms a lagoon. Snorkelling is fabulous due to the easily accessed coral beds teaming with a great variety of fish. We had 2 paddle boards with us which were amazing on the calm waters. There was however a side current which was quite strong at times. Would recommend taking sea shoes as there is a small risk of stone fish, mostly we just shuffled in though. The garden at the front is beautiful too, with a beach tennis court. The villa has gates, so is secure from the roadside. There isn’t much within walking distance, only the boutique hotel ‘Astroea Beach’ in the next bay and Blue Bamboo, a restaurant/pizzeria which does fab pizzas and cocktails! We did however like the peaceful solitude as we had a car to get around. An amazing holiday, would definitely recommend Villa La Piroga!!!
