Very pleasant stay
This villa has a splendid view over Koggala Lake. There is a large very clean swimming pool. The air-conditioned room was very comfortable despite the natinal power cuts. The manageres Sonal made us welcome and cooked fantastic meals.

A little patch of heaven
If you want serenity, calm and relaxation then this is the very place to visit. The villa is truly amazing and has every facility imaginable. We travelled with 3 teenagers and the views, pool and abundance of wildlife kept them amused. Sonali the resident chef will cook some traditional / flavoursome food and you won’t be disappointed. Amazing week with lots to do in the surrounding area. Including whale watching, sea turtle hatchery and national park. You can’t go without experiencing the tuk-tuk ride either. The villa comes with 4 large bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. And the views are breathtaking over the lake. Lizards, monkeys, snakes, scorpions, kingfisher birds were all seen from the comfort of the villa. If you want peace and relaxation then this is the place for you.

Perfect villa on Koggala lake
A beautiful house and gardens in a tranquil location with lots of wildlife to enjoy whilst swimming in the pool. If the villa is available I would highly recommend booking it now for an unforgettable stay, it was certainly one of the highlights of our trip.

Fabulous villa and awesome views
This villa is amazing. Cannot wait to go back. You really have no idea when driving up the lane what you are going to see. The place is gorgeous and the infinity pool is huge. The housekeeper Sonali also doubles up as a cook and her food is to die for. We went out on a boat trip that picked us ip from the bottom of the garden. Thanks for a memorable holiday.

Very special indeed
Lakeview really is such a special place to stay. We had incredible hospitality given to us by all, but especially Sonali and Lesanthe, who were so welcoming (Praema always had a smile and a hug for us too), 5star food cooked by Sonali (plus a very delicious pumpkin soup made by Lesanthe!) and wildlife, literally on your doorstep. It was so enjoyable to just sit, listen and watch the monkeys, birds and occasional iguana or monitor lizard. Raja, the Gardner also made time to come and find us, if he’d spotted an animal that he thought we would like to see. Nothing was ever too much bother, for anyone. Enjoyable trips included the Elephant conservation project at Udawalawe and a local turtle hatchery. Lesley, the owner was also an excellent communicator and always responded promptly and helpfully.
Lakeview is a home, superbly equipped for any guest/family and I could go on but will just end by saying that The Forbes family wholeheartedly recommend it!

A little slice of paradise
What an amazing villa. It's not often that the reality is so much better than photos, but Koggala Lake view villa is stunning. The hosts are welcoming- nothing is too much trouble. We had a relaxing holiday surrounded by wildlife - one of my favourite moments of our 10 day stay was swimming in the pool with that view, being watched by a troop of monkeys, while a kingfisher dived in and out. If you fancy exploring the area more, there's so much to see and do but it will be hard to prise yourself away from such a fantastic villa. Highly recommend.

Amazing!
We had such an amazing week at Lakeview Villa, and it was a great way for us to end our Sri Lankan holiday.
Firstly, before we arrived, Ken and Lesley (the owners) were really efficient and responded to our queries in super quick time. They also welcomed us on arrival, which was a really nice touch.
The property is absolutely stunning and you never get tired of that view! It really is like a home from home and we didn't want to leave!
Special mention must be made to Sonali and Lesanta, who looked after us so well for the whole week. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was just out of this world!
If you are looking for something a little but special, then look no further. I would recommend this place whole heartedly. You won't be disappointed!

Paradise - like a dream
We agree with all that Olivia writes. This place is absolut wonderful, peaceful and exciting. We were 8 adults from Sweden, staying one week in the end of January and this was one of our best experiences we had together. Sonali and Lasanta took so good care of us and served us the most delicious food ever.
We visit a tea plantation, made a trip to the old town Galle and participated in yoga.
We can really recommend this wonderful place.😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊

Le paradis !!
This place is amazing !! If there is a place to be in Koggala it is Koggala Lake view villa !! The location, the house, the garden, the people who are working there, everything is more than perfect.
We spent one week in this peaceful property and we really enjoyed it. Thanks again and bravo to Lesley and Ken.

Lakeside Paradise
Koggala Lakeview vastly exceeded all of our expectations. The photos just don't do it justice. The place is fantastic - so secluded and peaceful. The garden is a menagerie of birds, monkeys and lizards.
Sonali the in-house chef and her food is absolutely incredible and gives a real taste of Sri Lankan food.
We stayed for 6 days and we only ventured out once to go to Uda Walawe safari park (3 hrs away) and once to the beach. Otherwise you can just relax in the villa and pretend you're the only people on earth.
