The owner is welcoming and helpful about things to do in the area. The house is spacious and comfortable. It is conveniently located between the town of Scopello and the Zingaro Reserve. Within walking distance. It is a terrific location to see the surrounding sites of Sicily and enjoy the breathtaking landscape and coves. I wish we could have spent more time here.

The villa is perfectly situated for a great break. The local beach is a ten minute walk away, it's a bit steep coming back but great exercise! Perfect for sunbathing in the early morning or late afternoon and missing the crowds. The Zingaro nature reserve is splendid and also just a short walk away from the house and is really worth a visit either for walking or sunbathing and swimming in one of the small coves. Within an hour's drive are Erice (not to be missed), and the greek temples at Segesta and Selinunte. The little village of Scopello is also walking distance away and great for dinner in the evening. there are a few restaurants either in the small square or overlooking the coast, all quite good. A couple of kilometres away is the local supermarket which, although small has virtually everything you could need on holiday and excellent local fresh produce. The house is semi detached but designed in a way the gives you plenty of privacy and there is a wonderful terrace at the front where you can eat in the shade with a gentle cooling breeze. Finally Giuseppina and her husband were both were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. We had a lovely break at Ville delle Palme.

I would reccomend this villa. We had a lovely week here. the area is beutiful and would come back again. Guiseppina, the owner is very welcoming and helpful, The village is in walking distance where it has some lovely restaurants meaning you can go out and have a drink and lovely meal and not worry about having to drive. Our favourite meal was at the Benistra Hotel in the village. The Villa was well equipped and had all that you needed. Castellamare de Golfo is a short drive away where there is a lovely sandy beach and the reserve is just down the road. We could have walked it but didn't realise how near we were to it. I recommend that you have a car as the supermarket is too far to walk to and there are so many places to visit.

Stayed for three weeks in this comfortable villa. Plenty of outside and inside space and the villa had everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen and handy washing machine. Lovely views from the villa's patio with outside seating at the front and back of the villa. Useful air conditioning unit is in the lounge only. Semi detached aspect of villa was well thought out as both patios were quite private. Guiseppina and her family were very helpful without being intrusive. Although a steep walk down to the pebble beach, this was not a problem and there is an option of taking a car if the 15 minute walk does not appeal. Scopello is only a 10 minute walk and has a number of options for eating out. The local supermarket is a few minutes in the car and meets most needs, other larger supermarkets in Castellemmarre. Plenty of places to visit nearby and the local reserve can be reached on foot, although does charge an entrance fee. San Vito Lo Capo good if you want a busier sandy beach, but lots of lovely small pebble coves nearby which are hood for snorkelling. An overnight trip to Mt Etna was well worth the trip and the cable car ride up to Medieval Erice was about an hour away (take an extra layer of clothing). A relaxing holiday in a peaceful part of Sicily.

Villa delle Palme is perfectly situated halfway between the Zingaro reserve and the centre of Scopello so wonderful beaches and restaurants are only a short walk away. The villa is spacious and comfortable with a Mediterranean garden so plenty of shade when it gets too hot. It is a really peaceful place in a beautiful location. A huge plus point to staying here is the owner Giuseppina. She speaks fantastic English and is available to be contacted at any time should there be any problems. Her genuine kindness and interest in us having a good holiday were a real bonus.

Villa delle Palme is a great villa, very comfortable, in excellent condition and very light and airy, well equipped kitchen/cooking facilities. The views are fantastic, big mountain out the back and views of the sea from the front verandah. The road is very quiet. Guiseppina was very helpful in meeting us, showing us around the villa. The villa is annexed to villa next door, also owned by Guiseppina, but the arrangement of the villas are such that both sets of occupants have total privacy. Alternatively use of both villas by a large party would also be ideal. As others have mentioned the driveway is steep and winding and is not easy with a family sized car, so it really is best to get a small car. The location is walking distance to Scopello and very close to beach. There is a restaurant 200m or so from the villa which is open lunchtime and some evenings. The location is also very good for exploring that side of Sicily.

Villa dells Palme is two semi detached, 2 bed houses sharing a garden but having separate patio and all facilities. The house is simply furnished with comfortable bed. Kitchen is very well equipped also with spices, condiments and oil etc. Guiseppina met us in Castlemarre and led us to the house giving a very thorough explanation of everything and making us feel very welcome. She was very obliging and flexible regarding our departure time. It's position is 800m from entry to Zingaro with several more local pebbly bays available and the tuna tower close by. The scenery is stunning around this area and well worth visit. Scopello is well equipped with ristorante, panificio etc. A small car is a must since the house is in quiet location and the drive is steep and twisting. Overall a great house in a quiet location.

Nice villa and a nice village. You can walk to the beach and the town, if you like walking which we do! Zingaro park is fantastic, we drove but could have walked there I guess. I give it 4/5, because ideally the beach would be a bit closer, but it's a lovely beach, large and quiet. Litter of course. Nearest restaurant was 10 mins walk max, really nice strolling back in the quiet. Garden is on a slope but nice places to sit. You can get a middle sized car up the drive, but it is always a challenge.

We have just returned from spending a wonderful fortnight at this gorgeous villa and would return in a heartbeat! The house is spacious, cool and elegantly furnished, plus the well sprung beds are made with crisp linen sheets and proper feather pillows - a first in all our years of renting - and which makes an enormous difference to the quality of a holiday sleep. There is also a very good barbeque in the back garden, which enabled us to enjoy several nice meals. And as for the views - absolute heaven to wake up every day to such a feast for the eyes! The villa itself is only a short walk from an ancient and atmospheric small village where there are many excellent restaurants to enjoy a meal or to sample delicious pastries or hearty wood-fired savoury breads from a wonderful bakery. There are also some great local craft shops where one is tempted to spend far too much time and euros! The beach is but a downhill walk away, again with beautiful views of both the mountains and the sea, and I think our legs have never felt fitter from the climb back up each day! The beach itself is probably one of the nicest places we have ever visted; elegant, family-centred and with two small cabins selling the best paninis in one and in the other superbly chilled cold beers, one glass bottles of Prosecco (Italians always do things in style) and stunning lemon ice granitas. The crystal turquoise sea quickly encouraged the 10 and 53 year old to discover snorkelling, and they delighted in finding so many octopi and rainbow coloured fish within a hand's reach. We also loved taking little pedallos out and floating round the bay. We never tired of the place! However, what really made our holiday truly special was the kindness of our hostess - Giuseppina and her husband Gaetano. When they realised that we had no car and therefore could not reach any of the many local and historically spectacular destinations, they offered to drive us there themselves and show us around! So, we are extremely grateful to them for showing us the wonders of the 500BC temple and theatre of Segesta, and the beautiful and mysterious medieval hilltop village of Erice. Giuseppina also organised us to be driven around Palermo on our final day, in order that we could enjoy the cathedrales and atmosphere of this charismatic city. We have never experienced such generous hospitality and kindness from a villa owner before and we felt that we had met new friends, and not just simply had a holiday. This experience will stay with us forever.
