Das Haus ist geau so schön, grosszügig und komfortabel, wie es auf den Bildern aussieht - auch wenn es ein paar kleine Veränderungen gab! Wir hatten eine herrlich ruhige und entspannte Zeit hier (das Vogelgezwitscher war wohl die lauteste Komponente) und das bei gleichzeitig ausserordentlich gutem WLAN-Empfang🙂! Auch sonst können wir uns der Kommentare vieler anderer Gäste nur anschliessen: sehr netter und aufmerksamer Vermieter, toll gelegen, was Restaurants, Einkaufen und Kulturgüter angeht. Unzählige Möglichkeiten sich drinnen und draussen aufzuhalten, wunderbarer Pool und sogar ein eigener Tischtennisunterstand! Die Ausstattung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig (da sind ältere Bewertungen nicht mehr auf dem neusten Stand) - Kochprofis tun allerdings gut daran, sich besondere Zutaten selber zu besorgen. Und noch eine kleine Bemerkung für alle mit Rückenbeschwerden: die Betten sind sehr hart, allenfalls eine Matte mitnehmen. Unser Fazit: Ein ganz herrlicher Ort, an dem man sich richtig wohlfühlen und das Leben geniessen kann! Empfehlung: Unbedingt hingehen!

Dejligt hus med en skøn pool og dejlig udsigt over søen. Vi havde en dejlige uge i huset først i september, der er mange skønne terrasser, hvor der både er mulighed for skygge og masser af sol, helt til solen går ned om aftenen. José bød os velkommen og gav alle de oplysninger man har brug for vedr. indkøb, restaurant og besøg. Kan varmt anbefales og vi vil helt sikkert komme tilbage en anden gang :-)

From the first contact with the owner Jose to the day of arrival was first class. He was prompt and very helpful. The house is set in a most beautiful part of the countryside, with the most amazing views of the lake and surrounding area. The surrounding area is very quiet with not much going on, but we knew that when we booked and we wanted a get away from it all holiday. The house was beautiful and clean and the pool just amazing. It has everything you need, even swimming towels are provided which is a great help when packing and the large pool is just what you need during the hot sunny days. Outside the barbeque area was perfect and even a table tennis table with all equipment provided was very well used. We had a wonderful relaxing week thank you.

L'endroit est magique Un séjour au delà de mes espérances. Un très bel endroit au cœur de l'Andalousie, beauté des paysages, une vue à couper le souffle, une maison spacieuse et confortable. Et merci à José pour sa gentillesse, ses bons conseils et son professionnalisme. Juste parfait.

We spent a week at this charming house in Iznájar. It made a fabulous spot from which to see Córdoba, Grenada, and even take a trip to Morocco (with an overnight in Tarifa). The pool area and views of the lake are legitimately awesome. Pool is huge. We ate meals outside. Ping pong table was a big hit with my kids. The house: 4 bedrooms all but one have twin beds. The master has a double bed. Very comfy but don’t expect a king! Bedroom AC is super good. No AC in common areas. Main living area is furnished differently from the photos. Furniture isn’t quite as charming. Bathroom situation is a quirk. One up, one on main level with one bedroom, and one off of the patio which we never used. The shower head in the upstairs shower is a handheld with no attachment to the wall so it’s a little awkward. It’s a lovely place. Quiet. Amazing sunsets. So peaceful and private. A great restaurant is just across the bridge—casa Juani. The other one is even closer but opened at 8 which was too late for our kids. It was easy to cook in the kitchen which we did twice. There’s a modern great supermercado 6 miles away in a town called Rute, very easy to get to. Underground parking. Now the owner- Jose is really delightful! Professional kind and easy to work with before and on arrival. Did everything by email and paid our deposit last year on PayPal. On arrival he Drew us a fabulous map of all the things we could need. He didn’t hassle us at the end for “extras” like electricity or WiFi which we had experienced with a rental in Italy once. Flexible on payment to take part in cash and part in PayPal. Jose meets you at the gas station nearby to check in because it would be a little tricky to find. Very easy check in. Really lovely place.

A lovely house nestling peacefully amongst olive trees and overlooking the lake. Many wonderful places nearby to visit - we had a great holiday.

We have spent a few weeks at El Mirador de Iznajar for each of the last 4 years and plan to return again this year. Like most people, our free time is limited and we could choose to be many places but this place is simply the best that we have found in years of traveling. The house is lovely and very comfortable with everything needed for self-catering. It is located in an olive grove, overlooking a gorgeous lake and the views from the delightful pool and the house are absolutely stunning. Jose and his parents are the owners and they are wonderfully kind and very helpful. The home is ideally situated for day trips to touristic destinations in Andalucia such as Granada, Malaga, Cordoba, Sevilla, Ronda and even further afield to Jerez de la Frontera and Giibralter. The location is also perfect for those who want to do very little other than spend peaceful time by the pool, eat in great local restaurants, and enjoy the charms of the village of Iznajar, the lake and the surrounding countryside. We are looking forward to our next stay!

We had two amazing weeks in Jose’s villa. Jose is exceptionally friendly and helpful which is an added bonus. The views from the villa were spectacular and the pool was a great size for the whole family to swim in. The neighbours dogs are delightful and loved playing with children. The restaurant nearby, provided beautiful food and generous portions! Iznájar Lake is great for swimming too. We would love to return in the near future!

We just spent a wonderful week at this villa with my retired parents and kids aged 9-17 years old. Everyone loved how spacious and clean it was and the kids spent a lot of time in the beautiful swimming pool. We enjoyed all our meals on the large table outside with gorgeous views of Lake Iznajar. The kitchen is very well-stocked and we were able to cook our meals easily. Some basic spices would be a great addition (salt, pepper, sugar etc) The Mercadona in Rute is a short drive away and we were able to buy all our groceries easily. The drive up and down the villa is a little scary especially in the dark, as it is steep and not well-paved but we were able to manage it for the week. If you are looking for a completely private, relaxing getaway with stunning views, fig, lemon, orange, pomegranate trees and olive groves to stroll around and gorgeous sunsets, this is the perfect place. You definitely need a car to get around. The Castle of Iznajar is fantastic as is the town itself. We also drove to Toledo, Malaga, Cordoba, and Granada and the villa is located close enough for day-trips with enough time to come back and swim! Overall we had a great, relaxing stay and Jose was very helpful when we needed him.

A lovely spacious villa with beautiful views. The pool is a very good size, perfect for swimming in. There's a restaurant within walking distance and supermarkets a short drive away.
