Affordable luxury in the Jungle. Our Bed and Breakfast is located about a 10-minute leisurely bike ride from the main town of Puerto Viejo. There are many restaurants and bars located along the strip from Manzanillo to Puerto Viejo for you to enjoy and explore. Our beach is a short 5-minute walk and the street is lit a night. You can walk to the town of Puerto Viejo along the beach if you prefer. Staying in the jungle can be a noisy experience. Expect the howler monkeys to wake you up at dawn with their loud roars that are noted as the second loudest animal in the world next to the lion. They will be accompanied by frogs and birds getting in on the symphony. In the evening the monkeys howl as they settle for the night and call the troop together. The temperature ranges from low of 20 in the evenings to highs of 35 in the day all year round. The accommodations are designed to allow a natural air flow to eliminate the need for artificial cooling from air conditioning. This keeps the temperature consistent and assists in assimilating into the tropic environment. There are tower and overhead fans in each room . The pool and outdoor showers also are readily available to help to cool down. Accomodations include: 1 King bed Free - Mini bar – semi stocked – included – 2 beer & 2 soft drinks, purified water. Restocked daily Coffee bar with fresh Costa Rican coffee and assorted teas Robes and poo towels provided Shampoo and body wash in both indoor and outdoor showers Hair dryer Safe Includes - Hot breakfast daily with vegan options available upon request. Expect fresh fruit, juice and smoothies to accompany your meal. Rancho – is an open-air building where breakfast is served. The rancho is available for use during the day and early evening. There are no cooking facilities on the property and hot cooking is not permitted. Portable cooking appliances such as Barbeques, hot plates or electric frying pan are not permitted, The area is designed for a quiet environment and groups / individuals are expected to adhere to quiet time of 10;00 pm. No loud music is permitted at anytime and must be shut off at quiet time. There is a Private Shared Pool which includes lounge chairs and towels, located next to the main rancho. An Adults only pool with rancho and raised yoga platform is located in an more secluded area closer to the natural jungle.
