We have just returned from a fantastic 9 day stay at Villa DeWa. The complex is absolutely jaw dropping and had everything we could have wanted. We loved the more remote location surrounded by villages and great black beaches where you could walk for miles ( and so little rubbish compared to the rest of Bali). The team are very laid back and not at all intrusive but available if you need them. Some minor plumbing issues were rectified smoothly. Don’t go here if you want a hectic nightlife and lots of noise. Stay here if you want peace and quiet and enjoy local life. Two great Warungs within walking distance - see my reviews. Great for couples or families with older children who need more space.

As soon as we walked into the property our mouths dropped & then we entered the building! Everything was just stunning, all the lounges, kitchen area, pool, dining room & bedrooms were immaculate and we felt like royalty and I can't express enough how amazing we felt staying here, it would be perfect for a small function. We had 4 adults & 2 children so plenty of room for us! The staff were great and they lit all the lanterns around the pool & organised the table for dinner which we ordered & was delivered from the resort across the road and the staff also cooked breakfast for us. There isn't alot to do in Pekutatan but we did visit Balian for lunch & Medewi surf beach but really we just wanted to stay at the villa and soak it all in! There is 4 separate bedroom buildings throughout the gardens & each one was perfect. The dining room was unbelievable, the photos of this villa are spot on. Couldn't recommend this accommodation enough, it was a splurge for us to stay here on our trip around the island but I am so glad we got to experience it and thankyou to Desmond for being so responsive with all the details. I could just keep going on and on...... :-)

I rented Dewa Villa from trip advisor and hoped I had rented a nice place. My jaw dropped when I entered as the villa is drop dead gorgeous. It is beyond expectations and the photos do not do it justice. Desmond and Wayan were amazing in helping me plan every detail. The created one of the most memorable meals i have ever eaten and to my surprise decorated the villa grounds in festive lanterns and balloons the day of my birthday. Every detail about the place has been taken care of from the gardens to the rooms. The staff are great and always there when you need them but not there when you don't. The villa is 2.5 hours pretty much from any of the more recognised places in Bali and this is what makes it so fabulous you really are in Paradise. the beach is a short stroll down the lane and when your on it you are the only people as far as the eye can see. I highly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful place to celebrate or share with friends, you will not be disappointed. I am sorry I took so long in writing this review but clearly it has remained vivid in my memory and is one of the best experiences I have ever had and I am a seasoned traveler. I still dream of the dinner and how delicious it was.

Expansive grounds with all the bedrooms spaced away from each other give this property a very relaxed atmosphere. The very friendly onsite manager efficiently organised the staff to carry luggage to our rooms, helped us get the lay of the villa and how to order in food from the hotel next door for lunch and dinner (which is all we did once we were in relax mode we only left for beach walks!). The accompanying staff are all very nice and helpful and it was no trouble for one to pop out for an order of Bintangs as soon as we arrived. The main building is impressive as it sprawls out onto the long pool with views across the gardens and the tennis court. The design is very well done and I'll be banking some ideas for if I can ever afford to build my own place! Quality fixtures and furnishings throughout, no corners cut in this build. One thing to improve is the speed of the internet. The master bedroom is huge with its own large balcony with sofa over looking the tennis court, very comfortable and well tought out as before. The 3 other bedrooms are all the same, all very comfortable with quality linen and comfy beds. We slept well in the peace and quiet. We took advantage of the tennis court and the large step in the pool for drinking beers. We took several walks through the stunning local Balinese village (it was Galungan time so all the famous decorations were up hanging from the bamboo) to the beach with our baby daughter and her grandparents. Breakfast was cooked in villa by a member of staff in the top kitchen area and was a tasty plate of fruit and eggs cooked several different ways. Simple and tasty with plenty of tea or coffee to wash it down. Medewi has a reasonable wave just a few minutes up the road not that I got to it this time as we were just happy to relax in this lovely property with the family.

Les chambres sont décorées avec goût avec tout le confort: la salle de bains en pleine air est magnifique! Piscine design magnifique et petit-déjeuner copieux et excellent.... nous avons passé un séjour fantastique à la Villa Dewa!

We had a fantastic week long break at Villa Dewa. There are four separate one bedroom houses with a shared enormous living room, formal dining room, infinity pool, separate kitchen and multiple outside eating and BBQ areas. The grounds are glorious with a beautiful garden, tennis court, message/yoga house, etc. The villa is located near Medewi beach so 2.5 hours away from the airport. That is a good thing though as it is away from all of the crowds. The beach nearby - a ten or fifteen minute walk - is a black sand beach, very quiet with just locals fishing and kids playing and a bit of motorcycle racing. Although off of the beaten path, Medewi Beach Resort is literally next door so you can order room service from them so you don't have to cook. The staff will order for you and provide a beautiful layout for eating wherever you like. You can also ask the staff to get chicken/fish and veggies from the morning market for a dinner BBQ. I would recommend getting wine when you drive in as well as going to a grocery store as there is not much there shopping-wise. Overall, perfect stay. Would recommend to anyone, especially with friends or extended family.

Villa Dewa is tucked just off the main road, on the way to the beach in Pekututan. It's worth that 2 hours from Legian to enjoy such peace and quiet and glimpse a bit of B Ali in years gone by. The villa is amazing. Four separate suites, spread around the enormous gardens that are well maintained, so not too jungle like! Each room had its own indoor/outdoor bathroom, and the master suite had a. Lounge and dining area as well! The main house is stunning, and huge... I think we lost count of the couches and corners to curl up in. The house was ideal for a Group who liked to relax quietly and independently but come together to party or dine. Speaking of dining the Staffa re all really lovely and happy to help with drinks and coffee and tea whenever we asked for it. We ate in a Variety of locations around the villa, and still didn't use all the space. I think we were amongst the first groups to stay at the villa, everything was in as new condition and the staff were not in your face, but managed to be handy when required. We also at a dinner at the hotel across the road which was really yummy and friendly. The villa is about a half kilometre from the black sand beach; great for jogging, long walks or just smiling back at the friendly locals. We will definitely be back, I think Villa Dewa would be an as amazing location for a big celebration! There's even tennis court in one corner and a a huge pavilion for yoga and massage in the other. Built up and down a natural valley, it felt like our own secret world. Well done villa Dewa, it's magic!

After a few nights in Ubud, I was lucky enough to stay at beautiful Villa DeWa. I was not yet ready for the hustle of Seminyak so this haven was a perfect choice to really unwind. Our host was happy to arrange a couple of massages with a very gifted masseur who came to the villa. Meals were great. And if you are bored from dining in, across the road is a very family style restaurant. Can't wait to return to Villa DeWa!!!

I was fortunate enough to find this fantastic villa. 6 friends and i had a great 4 days relaxing by the pool, being silly in the gardens, enjoying the beach and great local restaurants. I have stayed in many places but few live up to villa DeWa it is in the top of the range. Almost brand new with absolute quality furnishings and fittings. great things like 2 ice machines so the vodka keeps flowing, magnificent kitchen and unbelievably comfortable lounge and bedrooms not to mention the amazing dining room and roof top terrace. we hired a local masseur from the village and all had a massage in the private wellness bale. Just divine. The owners organised a magnificent Indonesian banquet for us catered by the hotel across the road with traditional dancing and music in the dining room which was by aussie standards rediculously cheap and totally luxurious and i easily self catered a bbq for 20 on the roof top terrace. the staff were extremely friendly and efficient but never hovering in our way. Villa DeWa gets my top rating for a great place to have a holiday with friends or family
