Paradise

Have travelled the world quite a bit. Costa Rica is definetely one of the top locations I visited. It's Paradise! My stay at the Villa in Playa Tortuga was absolutely wonderful! If I had to describe Paradise, I'd picture it like that. The Villa is located on top of a hill, a modern, tastefully asiatic/modern furnitured interieur makes you immediately feel like home and the view is absolutely astonishing! The rooms are very spaceous, the main bed room reminds me of modern Robinson Crusoe with the canopy bed and its white linnen curtains flying in the breeze, the wooden floor, the open windows ... accompanied by the sound of nature. One could think to be in a remote location which is somehow the case. However, within 10' you reach the next house/hotel, one of the best hospitals is pretty close, grocery shopping and the next bigger village is in 20' reach as well and most of all, one of the best Ceviche Restaurants is a stone's throw away. Last but not least, the beach is a short walk or drive away where we got picked up for diving. Isla Tortuga is reachable from there in 20'. If it comes to diving, you have all you need. There are even two wrecks in the area. As a result, I was able to do the Advanced Diver licence there. I will not forget the evenings sitting outside of the house with the freshly blended Mojitos, the chirring of the crickets outside, the moon and the stars, fresh BBQ, story telling, ... And next day while you have breakfast, you get a visit from the howler monkeys, sitting in the trees making their way down to the shady area of the rain forest. An unforgettable holiday!

Heaven on Earth!

Having stayed in villas in over 15 countries in the past 2 years, we can honestly say that anyone would be hard pressed to find a better location to get away from it all than Bellevue Isla Tortuga. While the villa itself is incredibly modern, luxurious, and comfortable, the way it mixes in naturally with its surroundings is unparalleled. The home is stunning, safe, secure, and comfortable, and yet you still get the truly authentic experience of being one with nature as soon as you step outside. Inside and outside are truly two entirely different worlds. Needless to say, Carlos' villa is the perfect blend of luxury and convenience mixed with privacy and tranquility. We have yet to stay in a place where we enjoyed such peace and serenity yet were only a few minutes drive from everything we needed in town, as well as just an hour drive in every direction if we wanted to see a new town and enjoy a new experience. Whether you are looking to kick back, relax, and never leave the villa, or want to take day trips to montezuma, mal pais, or santa teresa, you won't regret making this your home base. Every day the howler monkeys stopped by for a visit at least once, a plethora of birds popped in to serenade us, and the friendly neighbourhood armadillo would pop in looking for a drink. The locals around town are friendly and happy, and Carlos is the best host that anyone could ever ask for. If there was ever a problem, he was always just an email or phone call away and had our issue resolved almost immediately. While we fortunately had the pleasure of enjoying Bellevue Isla Tortuga for a 2 full weeks, we still had to be dragged away kicking and screaming at the end of our vacation. In fact, we loved the area so much we are already planning our next visit! Whether you are planning a romantic trip to Costa Rica for you and a loved one, are planning a family getaway, or are looking for a place for you and a few friends, we cannot recommend Bellevue Isla Tortuga enough. You won't regret it, we promise.
