We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Rossa. We saw the real Italy. Staying in the heart of the old village with stunning views from the terrace of Lake Como. The house was very comfortable, everything you could want was there. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay in Casa Rossa! The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We felt relaxed from day one. There are views of the lake from every room, but the view from the lounge is absolutely stunning. The beds are so comfy and we have never slept better! Aquaseria itself is a small and charming village. The 2 main restaurants are very good, and there is a lovely wine bar where we enjoyed lunch on more than one occasion, The local people are super friendly, and the apartment is a few minutes walk from the beautiful lake. If you can tear yourself away from the village, Aquaseria is a great base for exploring. Being close to the border, we drove to Switzerland, as well as Milan and Verona. It was also interesting to explore the closer towns such as Menaggio and Tremezzo. I would also like to mention that Dawn, the owner, is extremely helpful and accommodating. We would love to return to Casa Rossa in the future.

Fabulous accommodation on beautiful Lake Como. The facilities were excellent with all the home comforts you could possibly need. The view from the balcony is spectacular, the beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. I would certainly love to stay at Casa Rossa again.

Casa Rossa is a great place to stay, the view of the lake is absolutely captivating, we sat outside every morning to eat our breakfast whilst enjoying the lake view. The house it’s self has everything you will need for a stress free holiday and was very clean on arrival. The village of Acquseria has a few places to drink and eat, we used the fruit shop and the butchers regularly (the butchers sells essentials like milk and bread). The buses into nearby Menaggio are a tad hit and miss but when they come it’s worth a visit ( there is a big supermarket there also) We visited Bellagio and this is a must, we hopped over on a water taxi from Menaggio, Bellagio is a stunning place with great food and ice cream. Dawn the owner of casa Rossa was very helpful with directions to her property and which airport to fly into etc..... Thanks Dawn for letting us rent your beautiful Italian house, it is wonderful 😊

Just enjoyed a wonderful break at Casa Rossa. My 3 friends and I were looking forward to a relaxing and peaceful holiday and were so pleased that we’d booked our stay at Casa Rossa. The house has everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The view is amazing from every room and we loved watching the boating activity on the lake and the stunning views of the mountains over the water. Dining together on the terrace watching the sunset was our trip highlight. We also loved exploring the cobbled ancient streets and the boat trips we took across the beautiful lake Como (we’re sure we saw George Clooney in his lakeside garden... definitely worth a return trip!) My friend is already planning her next holiday to Casa Rossa with her mother and 2 grown up children. Thank you Dawn for letting us stay in your lovely holiday home. We had everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen and loved your tastefully furnished and comfortable space. I should also add that the beds were super comfy and the towels soft and fluffy. We’d all love to come back again.

The apartment is 528 ft or 161 m from the parking lot (according to my GPS). My wife and I had two 20 kg suitcases each. We were able to more or less wheel them about 1/3 of the way to the apartment at which point I had to carry all four in turn as the wheeled cases were no match for the rough cobbled path (or the 28 flights of stairs). I’m 69 and my wife is 65 so it was quite a struggle. The parking lot was almost always full but the owners kindly provided access to a shared garage a further 70 m or so down the hill. No question Casa Rossa has a great view from the balcony. The main bedroom is a nice size and the queen bed is very comfortable. The second bedroom, on the same level, is very narrow so the two beds oppose each other rather than being side by side. My daughter and partner arrived on the second night for a 3-day stay with two suitcases each so it was very tight for them in that bedroom. For older folks it’s important to note that, as published, the second bathroom is not on the same level as the two bedrooms. Given the foregoing I think this apartment is better suited to families with children rather than four adults. The bathrooms are modern and spacious. There’s a reasonable kitchen with cupboards stuffed with just about anything a cook would need. There are a few oddities, like 15 identical coffee mugs but no proper wine glasses. The remainder of the upper level consists of a small dining area and a seating area with a fold out bed and one easy chair. The terrace is comfortable for two. With the outdoor table at an angle and using the dining room chairs we were able to eat together on the terrace. The house was very clean and the owner was very responsive to all our questions. Positives- view from the terrace, excellent internet, bed in the main bedroom, modern bathrooms. Negatives- cost, distance to parking, second bedroom.

We had very enjoyable vacation in a very clean and comfortable house with magic views of Lake Como and the majestic surrounding mountains. Close to great restaurants and the ferries.Public car parking was not alway available so the lockup garage was very much appreciated. My wife had recently had a knee replacement so the spiral stair case was a challenge but it was ok.

3 of us very much enjoyed our few days at Casa Rossa in San Siro near Menaggio. Wonderful views from the holiday home, everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Felt like we were part of real Italy but near to all that Lake Como has to offer.

Casa Rossa is brilliant. All rooms - sleeping and living - are spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well-stocked and has modern appliances. And then there's "the deck" with its incredible views. We spent many an hour taking in the natural beauty from that perch; each time of the day offered something totally different to marvel at. Acquaseria was a perfect town for us. A slower pace than Menaggio and the other triangle towns - yet within really quick driving distance. There's a local friendly feel and some nice hiking opportunities nearby. Dawn (owner) was SO great to deal with at every step of the way. Her instructions were thorough / perfect, recommendations on point, and responses consistently timely. We chose Casa Rossa because of the excellent ratings for Dawn and the property. I have no hesitation in adding my Excellemt rating to the collection.
