Really nice house keeper but apartment poor value for money
We stayed in apartment 43c Turtle Towers for 2 weeks - although the housekeeper was lovely we were very disappointed with the apartment. The bathroom and kitchen were both of very poor standard indeed, both had ants in. I have stayed in Jamaica many times and know that bathroom are never that brilliant , but this one was not in a good state at all, my kids didn't want to use the shower at all (but obviously had to) . There were some English plug sockets there but they didn't work properly... which was a worry regarding the electics. The apartment had some sky channels and when we requested that Disney channel be added we were told that the owner did try for us but couldn't get through to the company to add an extra channel !! So we had 2 very bored children with us as they couldnt go out as there was alot of rain whilst we were there . All in all the apartment was ok but certainly not worth the £700 that we paid for 2 weeks.... we broke a soap dispenser by accident and was charged £34 for a replacement one!! - deducted from the £50 key deposit , which i found a cheek considering we had overpaid for our stay there in the first place. The photos look good on the holiday sites but they were obviously taken when the apartment was first decorated - it is now very tired looking indeed......... I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere for a 2 wk stay costing £700 , there are much better places in Jamaica believe me.

I was sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the apartment. I have been providing holiday rental accommodation for over 4 years, and have a number of returning guests and can provide testimonials if required.
The apartment is registered/ approved with both JAVA and the Jamaica Tourist Board .
I called you towards the end of your first week and you stated that you were very happy with both the apartment and housekeeper who attended daily to clean so I find it rather strange to read that you saw ants but did not find it necessary/ important to bring this to the attention of the housekeeper or indeed myself!
There is one English plug in the apartment for personal use and only for emergency by guests, you were informed by the housekeeper that it would not work effectively if overloaded! further more being a regular visitor to Jamaica, I would have expected you to have brought your own adaptor.
My housekeeper phoned me from the apartment in your presence and stated that you were requesting extra TV channels.
You were informed that this was very short notice and you were due to depart within the next two days.
The DVD player in the apartment was available for your use and suitable DVD's could have been rented from the local store!
This apartment is normally rented as a two bedroom for £525.00 per week however you stated that your budget was limited and that you could not afford to pay this rate and requested the one bedroom for two adults and two children at a reduced rate of £50.00 per night. ( £350.00 per week).
At the time of booking you were given a copy of our terms and conditions which states " whilst we do not charge for wear and tear we do reserve the right to charge for damages which are outside of the norm"
This apartment was last decorated in December 2010 and the photos were taken to reflect this.
It seems to me that you are making this statement in retrospect in order to discredit the apartment.
Your behaviour throughout your stay did not reflect this otherwise you would have complained to my housekeeper or myself at the beginning, and if that were the case we could have come to some agreement to refund your money for the remaining days so that you could find a one bedroom apartment close to the beach for £50.00 per night.
I am disappointed and saddened in your response but I'm sure we will all learn from this experience.

Fantastic apartment!
Sorry for the late review...was browsing and saw a negative review which prompted my reply. I stayed at the apt for 2 weeks in May last year and i honestly didnt have a problem. Annette is wonderful and extremely polite and helpful nothing is too much trouble for her. The apt itself is clean and has everything you need. Communication with Jackie is excellent and she goes out of her way to make sure your stay is exactly how you want it. We had a fantastic 2 weeks extremely memorable and i would stay there again. Ideal location and all amneties available. What more can i say ....i loved it , it was perfect! am sorry to disagree with the negative responder but i did not see it how u did! Ive been to jamaica many times and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Beautiful place and beautiful people. Thanx Jackie

A lovely place to be introduced to Jamaica from.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in this apartment. The apartment was clean and well maintained and offered a lovely and convenient place to relax.
Nice neutral decor encourages serenity with comfortable furnishings promoting a home away from home feel.
Proximity to the beach was a major plus for me, coming from not so sunny Croydon i had heard many great things about the sandy beaches of Ocho Rios and a huge smile broke across my face as i realised i could visit daily with ease.
Had a wonderful time mingling with other apartment visitors by the pool side and even made some friends we hope to keep in touch with.
I wanted to pack the housekeeper in my luggage, a very warm lady that definitely added a little something to our time there.
If i am lucky enough to visit Jamaica again i will definitely be booking this apartment.

Perfection
Cannot say enough good things about this holiday rental... size of the apartment, space, cleanliness, amenities etc were all great! This unit is well cared for and maintained during your stay by a very friendly/helpful housekeeper. The apartment owner is very easy to contact and helpful in providing rental information...
The proximity to the beach is great and there is easy access to stores, bars , restaurants etc
The pictures did not do it justice, as the aprtment is even nicer in person...
We LOVED it and would not hesitate to go back!

Lovely Apartment enjoyed the stay
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks in Jan 2012. Booking the apartment was very smooth I dealt with Jackie whom I found to be very friendly and professional. We meet Annette the housekeeper at the apartment, who was very helpful and pleasant who showed us around.
The apartment was clean, light and well decorated. The nice touch was a welcome pack which included some rum and also there were a number of UK plug sockets which was an added bonus.
The apartment is located on the fourth floor and there two lifts in the block. The apartment is situated conveniently for the beach, shops, restaurants and bars, very good if you do not have a car.
The whole apartment is well furnished and spacious; the kitchen was well equipped which was useful when entertaining
Within the complex there is a hairdresser/spa and a restaurant, although I did not have chance to use the restaurant I did make use of the spa which was very nice and value for money.
We enjoyed our stay and I would definitely come back.

1st Christmas Abroad
I stayed at the apartment with my cousin and our daughters for a week and half over the Christmas period. We were greeted by the lovely Annette who was an absolute pleasure.
The apartment itself was well laid out and spacious. Have to say we did not need the car we hired for our stay as the location was fabulous close to shops, beach and nightlife... perfect.
The girls enjoyed proximity to the large pool and beach and access to the laptop, iPod and cable TV.
My cousin cooked a full Christmas dinner in the apartment with no problems. We would all absolutely stay at the apartment again. Just one minor was that there was no wireless but it did not affect our stay at all to be fair.
Many thanks to Jackie who was helpful and professional I had my first Christmas abroad that I will never forget... fantastic.

One of the best rentals we have ever stayed in
The unit exceeded our expectations. It id very well appointed. The kitchen is new and well equipped. Excellent location, close to everything. The beach is quite large with fine sand and clalm clear water. Any shortages or required maintenace were attended to literally within 2 hours. Annette, the housekeeper and factotum is a jewel. And how many owners wiuld phone from the U>K> to see how we were getting along? Our only disappointment was the pool.The umbrellas shown in the pictures were nowhere to be seen. That , however was not the responsibility of the owner of the unit. All in all, an excellent stay.

Brilliant and fantastic cant fault this apartment
We have stayed at this apartment last year and couldnt wait to come back!! Everything that you need is here and the newly refurbrished bathrooms are great we just cannot fault this property, both for location and service. Big thank you to Anette for all that she done for us, great housekeeper and a big thank you to the owner Jackie for once again making the process so easy.
So if you looking for great value for money,clean and tidy apartment and of course great location next to the beach dont delay book today for that caribbean experiance you will not forget!!

Couldn't have found a better place to stay!!!
Staying here made my vacation that much better. Jackie was a gem from beginning to end! She exceeded my expectations! I had never booked a vacation rental before but she made it easy! The Apt. was clean and had all the amenities you could need. The apt has been updated and it looks amazing. The location was perfect for everything, eating, partying, beach and shopping. The property was clean and well kept. The housekeeper Annette was great. She felt like family! I stayed with my family and they all loved it. We slept like we were home and with the access to the internet and cable we felt like we were still in touch with home! (only when we wanted to) I can't wait to come back and this will be my home away from home while in Ochie!!

Very outdated
Turtle towers is very old building needs lots of improvements. Its far from a luxury apartment. The air-condition dosnt work the place was very dirty and out dated.

We acknowledged your initial complaint regarding the air conditioning
which was looked into straight away, you later confirmed that it was
working effectively.
As it was your first day we offered you a FULL REFUND so that you
could find a more suitable accommodation for your needs but you refused our offer and
later told us that you were happy to stay in the apartment for the
duration of your stay
We are proud of our apartment and so are several other guests as can
be seen from previous reviews.
