Nice little place. Good snorkeling. All was good. And like that. Food at Byron's is good....BUT VERY VERY high $. Ask about "puffies" good and at Jamaica prices yes man

This was the most beautiful getaway we have experienced thus far. Rasta Morris and his family’s hospitality made us feel so warm from the very beginning. We ended our last day on the cliff and it was beautiful! Thanks for everything Julie and Morris.

this is a lovely, clean, well stocked cottage with a million dollar view - even from the bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Julie and Morris.

Whether snorkeling over the coral reef or sitting on the back porch or lounging in the cool pool or taking a short walk to Cousin’s Cove to eat and drink at the local bar, there is nothing rustic here. Beautiful Jamaica with all her customs and food and natural beauty are all around you. The Rasta Morris and his lovely family were very friendly and accommodating. Morris was always there to help or drive us somewhere with the smile that seemed to never leave his face.The grounds are meticulously maintained with flowers, bushes, trees and grass. Located between the beaches of Negril and the Historic market and fishing town of Lucea, you are a short drive away to some of the most beautiful REAL JAMAICA.

The cottage is clean and fully equipped. Although rustic it is very comfortable. The snorkeling was amazing even saw a large spotted mantra and zebra eel The hostess Julie is amazing.

What can I say? Julie's place was by far the best decision we made other than deciding to go to Jamaica in the first place. Throughout the booking process Julie was quick with communication and answered every single one of my 1,000 questions before hand. When we arrived at Julie's place, she was there to greet us with a hug and show us around. Immediately we were awestruck by how beautiful the property was and we cannot emphasize enough how much cooler the cottage is in person. The pictures made us excited to go there, but being there was beyond perfect. The cottage was decorated simply but every touch added to the laid back vibe of the cottage and the island. The "mud room" has some extremely interesting postcards and random fliers and cards from all over the world. One thing I do recommend is packing plenty of bug repellent. It was not the worst place we encountered in terms of bugs, but we came home with a lot of bug bites, so be prepared and realize you are in a climate where mosquitos and other bugs thrive. This cottage was the perfect getaway and was also only a 10 minute drive to the nearest BEAUTIFUL beach (Half Moon Beach) and 30-40 minutes drive from Negril and the West End. The water access at the cottage was one of the coolest parts of the cottage. There, you'll find a safe pad of concrete that leads you to the water's edge and gives you access to the 10-20 ft deep waters right off the cottage's coast which boasts a mile long, basically untouched reef to explore with the snorkeling gear that Julie was nice enough to provide. The bed was comfortable and the fans provided were perfect for the warm Jamaican nights. The cool pool was PERFECT for cooling off and also made for a romantic night of relaxing in the water and sipping on mimosas after being in the sun all day. Now, arguably the best part of this cottage was having our own personal local and Rastafarian, Morris. Morris was absolutely the most down to earth kind guy you will find in Jamaica and he is there for anything you need! He has a couple birds in his yard and a super cute dog that smiles when you greet him and loves humans. On our last evening in Jamaica, we had Morris prepare an Ital meal for us (vegetarian, as Rastafarians are vegetarians) and it was amazing and the most authentic Jamaican meal we had while in Jamaica. As for the area of Cousin's cove, it is mostly all locals with a very chill vibe. You can see some amazing villas in this cove as well as some very humble traditional housing. I'm running out of space here so I will leave with this, if you're considering this place for your stay, BOOK IT NOW.

This property is exactly as described, pictured and mapped. It is beautiful and peaceful. If you have any questions ask/email Julie. She is very friendly and responsive. Morris is an absolute pleasure to talk to, and arrange trips with. For a quick trip go to Half Moon Beach or Rhodes Resort. We mostly relaxed and enjoyed the view from the porch. One tip: discuss fee prior to service for transport with Morris and for a meal at Byron's, etc...

We love that the location is very private. It suited our needs and the proposal went very well! Morris was a lifesaver during the trip. We especially enjoyed the Lucea market for fresh food. The snorkeling was amazing, as foretold, with a lot of different fish and coral to see! Noah got to swim past a barracuda! The snorkels worked very well and flippers too, which were provided by Julie! Half moon beach was nice with lovely owners, Tonya and Andrew, they also had their dogs roaming all over,which we loved. Tyron made some exquisite food. Then there was Byron, who served delicious food, and plenty of it for the price. The accommodations and setup at the cottage were more than satisfactory. Thoroughly enjoyed the private pier on the property to get in and out of the ocean. The nature around the cottage was lovely, but the wildlife brought it all together. This was the most relaxing vacation ever, for 4 adults. Beautiful scenery. Serenity, simple...no wifi, no cell phones, just fantastic family time! Safe secure, amazing sleeps! The down time we all needed. Locals were great, Jamaica at it's finest. hammocks were amazing!! Great job to you all and thank you, and bless you...one love
