Get thee there ..
There are a few places that I just hate to share .. but I feel compelled to "big up" Pattoo Castle as it is truly unique in every sense, and it is only fair that others can enjoy it too!
Situated on the Negril cliffs, this castle boasts not only spacious clean rooms (every one different, so its difficult to choose which to luxuriate in, but the most comfortable beds, pillows and linens that I have slept in and on in many a year.
A dramatic infinity pool where one can lazily watch the "water world" go by, was a big spoiling day and way into the night .. long after sunsets disappeared. The snorkeling is also pretty good right off the cliff, and you can arrange with "Lightening" to take you.
We opted to go out for meals as wanted to explore the nearby culinary scene, such as "Pressers One Love" right across the road, (Rasta sightings there are common and friendly local), "Pushcart" at Rockhouse, "Sip n Bite", "Kenny's Italian" etc .. so did not experience the castle cook this time round .. thats for the next trip, when I will also indulge in "at home" massages, tasty meals .. and most likely not leave the property at all!

'Breathtaking Castle & Views - Amazing Infinity Pool - Beautiful Decor'
I cannot say enough positive things about my stay at Pattoo Castle, I have stayed in local resorts before (because I love Jamaica) but this was definately my favourite! The castle has been decorated to the highest of standards, the beds, linens are immaculate. The amenities like the Salt water pool are breathtaking. Only steps away from the Caribbean sea this place is a true gem to be found. The owner Gary is very respectful and accommodating, and Lightning the fisherman will catch you some fresh fish! I loved staying here, the standards, views, peace and privacy is unique and extraordinary. Very close to everything, near to the beautiful beaches, lo cal restaurants and bars. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Paradise at Pattoo Castle
First off, thank you Gary for your attention and hospitality. Everything was first class! This is a review as well as a letter of appreciation.
An amazing, memorable and fun experience is guaranteed to anyone who chooses to stay at Pattoo Castle.
The views are priceless the accomodations are versatile and rival what one would expect at a luxury property. The West end location in the cliffs is story book and it is only minutes from popular 7 mile beach.
We had many experiences from snorkeling in the turquoise seas, exploring the nearby reefs and caves as well as indulging in some of the local, authentic cuisine. Every experience was memorable.
Including, I proposed to my lovely better half while at the castle. If I did it all over again, it would still be at Pattoo Castle with the breathtaking view in the back drop.
Thank you for allowing us to make life long memories at your home!
Before closing this review, I want to thank your entire crew.
Lionel is an asset to your team an obviously is evident in the tenure he has provided. Prompt and helpful he is and we enjoyed his company.
We will remain in contact.

Amazing castle with great staff
Pattoo castle is definitely the place to stay with a group (of friends) if you are in Jamaica. The castle is really big and easily sleeps 14 - 15 people. The bedrooms are big and well equipped. The view is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect. You can take a dive into the sea from the terrain of the castle, or you can relax in the pool while enjoying the view of the very blue sea. The staff is really friendly and always willing to help (for example, they arranged a grill for us, so we good grill our food). Please be advised that if you want to arrange something in- or outside the castle it is wise to do that with the help of the staff, the staff has good and reliable contacts.

You can't go wrong at this scratch one off the bucket list castle
This is one of those places that you look at the pictures and wonder if it really is that amazing... and what I can share is that the pictures don't do it justice as it is even more amazing in person. This huge castle (and it does feel like a castle) has so many rooms and also so many places to just sit and enjoy. Aside from air conditioned bedrooms, the entire house is open air and it is some incredibly beautiful air. Big kitchen with all the modern amenities (including blender, coffee, tea maker, mw, huge fridge, stove, etc.), outdoor furniture to enjoy all angles of the ocean and pool, unbelievable wood furniture inside all the white washed bedrooms, and a staff that makes the trip full of ease and flow (from cleaning to security to landscaping to cooking). I really have nothing bad to say - at all. Just make sure to come to chill and schedule some days just to stay in. From sunrise to sunset the view does not disappoint (and it actually lasts through the night with stars and moon over ocean). An out loud thanks to Gary for sharing his bucket list level castle with all of us.

Absolutely fabulous
We only had three nights to stay at Pattoo but it was enough to entice me to book again. Right on the sea in Negril with your own private pool and living space, what more could you ask for? All of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and are spacious with high ceilings, loved that everything was stone, wood and white; very refreshing. There's plenty of space to have your own privacy with numerous verandahs and sitting areas. Super cool spot close to restaurants, bars and the beach... I will certainly return.

Pattoo Castle is literally heaven on Earth!
My husband and I have been travelling to Negril for well over 15 years now. We have come to realize that we love the cliffs and usually stay at Rockhouse. We were engaged and married there and have made many friends there throughout the years. It's our special place. This time around, we decided to play a friends vacation to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. This required more room then the Rockhouse was able to accommodate. On our last trip to Negril we began looking at houses for a large group and nothing really blew our mind. We really wanted something special for our 10 year. Once we were back home I took another look online and found Pattoo Castle. It honestly seemed too good to be true. Could it be a scam? What was this majestic place and why had I never heard of it? Called a few friends on the island and they assured us that it was in fact real and newly renovated. I immediately reached out to Gary, who was wonderful throughout the entire process. Coordinating that many people can become tricky, and he was patient and accommodating throughout the process. 15 of us made our way to the castle for the week and had the most incredible time. The house is beyond words. The most stunning property I have seen on the island. The staff were incredible and the house pups were an added bonus! We hope to return soon, as I believe that this is a truly special place. If you have the opportunity...book it! You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful
Honestly, when we first booked we were nervous. The pictures looked so nice, but there were not many reviews on it, so it's like well how nice could it be? My best friend and I do an annual birthday trip where we bring a group of friends on a trip internationally for 4-5 days of luxury and that is definitely what Pattoo Castle is. We were greeted by Gary and his team upon arrival, the rooms were spacious, pool was nice and the out door eating area was great. There is enough space for everyone and AC in almost every room. Security roams the property so you feel safe at all times. Check out the #pattoocastle hashtag on instagram for more photos of the castle.

Unforgettable Castle In Jamaica Experience!
This was a lovely, joy filled, four day vacation anchored in the most exquisite, well appointed, huge! castle that was also incredibly relaxing and very fun for 12 women. Exploring the unique and comfortable rooms of the castle was half of the fun. Different balconies for cocktails, hanging out in the gorgeous infinity pool, an amazing local birthday dinner for our hostess - everything was casual luxury with the relaxed vibes of Jamaica. It was simply PERFECT. Only ask is to please fix the railing at the waters edge...it needs some repair! Loved every minute of being there!
