The owners wish to maintain family atmosphere. Guests shall be respectfully quiet and peaceful, not to disturb other residents in the immediate area. The home is not suitable for small children that cannot swim. The pool is not fenced and just a few feet away from the main living area. We will ask you to sign a waiver.

Perfekt
Eine wundervolle Villa mit einen zusätzlichen Gasthaus. Einen Pool und einen fantastischen Ausblick auf das Meer.
Die Unterkunft ist noch besser als auf den Bildern zu erkennen ist. Das Haus ist sauber und es fehlt an nichts.
Ich würde jeden der nach Tortola fliegt, diese Villa empfehlen.
Vermieter und die Managerin sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
Immer wieder gern.

Top Notch!
I have stayed in many villas in the islands and this is one of my absolute favorites! The villa itself is tucked away on the hillside where it is quiet and private. Its well appointed, clean, and nicely decorated. The pool is great. The views are stunning- nearly 180 degrees of ocean...your eyes can't get enough of the view- especially the sunsets. Definitely a place to unwind and take in the beautiful surroundings. I would go back to Pelican Peak in an instant! Its just awesome!

Best Honeymoon House
We are very particular renters and have stayed in many VRBO properties in the past. Some have been just as advertised and some, not so much. This house is EXACTLY as advertised and more!!!! We had a specific checklist for the perfect house for our honeymoon and this one, we thought, checked off all but a few. So we booked it.
Here was our checklist:
*PRIVATE (check);
*VIEW (CHECK CHECK CHECK) the photos are real!
*Pool (check) Perfect size, went swimming every day.
*Covered outdoor space (check) yes, it rained every day at some point -this was perfect
*Outside shower (check) yes and with a view of St John and Jost
*King Size bed (check) yes in the master and guesthouse
*Full kitchen (check) yes all that you need
*Near a beach (check) Perfect Smugglers Cove (tranquil beach) and Apple Bay (Surfing beach)
*Less crowded area (check) Love the west side - perfect mix of locals and tourists
Here are the items that we wanted but weren't sure we'd get:
*THE SOUND OF THE WAVES CRASHING - I really thought that being that high up we would not…but we did!
*Store nearby, Big Ben's has almost everything you may need but Rite Way in Road Town is bigger.
*Lynn the property manager, super responsive and knowledgeable about the island.
*Telescope and Binoculars, a perfect way to spend the evenings looking at stars and the islands.
*Beach stuff, the chairs were there but broken but there were noodles and boogie boards too.
*COOLER! So smart and used it everyday for picnic lunches on the go.
*Towels, no need to bring towel - this house has beach and bath.
*Maid mid week! We gave a few items to wash for us but coming home to fresh linens was very nice.
Here is what you need to know:
*Supermarket is in Road - bring the cooler and make it a day trip and see Road Town while you are there.
*The roads, yes they are challenging but when in Rome... The road to the house is fine as long as you choose your times to leave and come. Don't drive up in the morning when people are going down and don't go down in the evening when people are coming home. The main roads are OK but narrow. You MUST be a confident driver to drive in the BVI and USVIs! Take the road to Smugglers Cove - it's so worth it and Nigel the bartender will take care of you.
*We brought our own snorkeling gear - not sure I would want to use used gear (that's just me)
We cannot say enough about this amazing house. We can't wait to be back with our kids!

Great home with beautiful views, pool &pool house and all necessary items
The long drive up the hill is worth the time when you arrive. Enjoyed our cups of coffee in the
morning watching the island wake up with occasional rain showers and many rainbows. No
Appliances missing and everything in good working.
Lynn the property manager was a great help in answering questions, giving directions and fun to be around.

A wonderful place
We enjoyed our stay at Pelican Peak. The view was fantastic and we spent most of our time on the porch where we could eat and socialize and enjoy the view. All the necessities were there including beach chairs and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked. lLynn, the manager , was very helpful and patient with all our questions. It was very relaxing and many local restaurants nearby.

Perfect! Absolutely loved it!
Just got back from an 8 day stay at the Pelican Peak. Wife & I were celebrating our 25th anniversary. Everything was great! Communication with the owner (Willem) & the property manager (Lynn) was excellent & they were so helpful.
We rented a jeep for the week & I highly recommend that. For us, it was a 6 minute trip up the hill from Ben's market & 6 minutes down the hill.
We cooked in the kitchen almost every night & had a great time doing that.
We connected my smartphone via Google Music to their Bose Bluetooth speaker & enjoyed great music while we were in the pool or cooking. I used the grill a couple of nights & that went really well.
We watched movies using their Netflix account most nights.
We stayed busy island hopping & beach hopping thru most days & then enjoyed the privacy of the house in the evenings.
The outdoor shower was super awesome! Something about a hot shower with that breeze off the ocean.... Plus the view! The view(s) are simply incredible! We enjoyed most of our meals on the veranda looking out toward Jost Van Dyke.
After spending loads of time looking at lots of properties & actually contacting about half a dozen of them, we were extremely pleased with our choice.

Excellent Rental
Fantastic Viewa, great service by property manager Lynn, and within wasy access to Soprrs Hole and Road Town. Kids loved it.
Attentive Owner who pointed us in the right direction to almost everything!

Your first thought will be "WoW, better then the pictures posted"!
So like everyone else we don't have a negative thing to say. 100% perfect!
We really enjoyed our stay here!
The pictures really don't capture the views this place has to offer. With that said here are a couple helpful things for future guests.
The house has everything! I mean everything. The cooler and beach chairs are great to through in your Jeep and spend the day at the Beach with. (smugglers Cove has great snorkeling) The house had binoculars, a telescope ( which is great to use with all the lights off at night ) books galore , games, every kind of pot and pan including a drip coffee maker (with filters) and coffee press. Alot of past guests like to contribute and leave things behind that are useful for others, plenty of cooking spices, sunscreen and bug spray (even though the bugs weren't a problem for us) were available if we needed them. Even a few bottles of liquor. (Tip) stop by Sebastians Bar and buy a bottle of their homemade spiced rum. It's the best we've ever had and they only sell it at their bar.
You really feel at home here after a busy day. The Bose speaker system was nice to stream music through from our phones at night and the internet worked well.
Another Tip .... Take the ride into Roadtown for Groceries at the big supermarkets. The small ones and one at Sopers Hole just didn't have things like cold cuts for sandwiches and the variety of fruits and veggies that make life easier.
If your like us it's the small details that matter and with this house we were happily surprised how everything was though of. It really made our trip.
Well definitely be coming back!

Outstanding!
Yes, that is exactly what it was. The entire stay at Pelican Peak was outstanding in every way!
My husband, son and myself spent a week at Willem and Reineke's beautiful and very comfortable villa. Lynn the property manager and Madeline the housekeeper (both so very welcoming) completed the team to ensure we had everything we needed. The communication with Willem & Reineke from booking through to the day we checked out was flawless.
Now for the property. Yes you will need a 4 wheel drive to get up to the villa. Consider it an adventure. Don't worry, you'll drive like a pro after you've been up and down a couple of times! When walking through the villa's door for the first time you are immediately drawn out to the decks and pool area with this massive and incredible view. I remember thinking, O.K. this is going to be awesome and it was every single day! Willem & Reineke's recommendations for things see and do were all very helpful. We even arranged for Evelyn who owns the D”CoalPot restaurant at the bottom of the hill to come up to the villa and prepare a birthday dinner for our son. She's great fun and a fabulous chef! We had many favorites at the villa - coffee and breakfast out on one of the decks in the morning watching the waves roll in and the boats motoring or sailing around. Then there was the pool which was wonderful to cool off in. Since we like to cook, most evenings we had a fine meal accompanied by an adult beverage or two again outside watching the spectacular sunsets.
For off property fun activities, the boys had a great day of bone fishing around Anegada. Of course there are many white sand beaches! We also chartered a boat with Captain Debs to take us around several close by islands for a full day of snorkeling. The fish, the coral and a very knowledgeable captain made for yet another wonderful day.
The thing we liked least was the day we had to leave. You always know it has been a great vacation when you find yourself saying "just one more day"!

Beautiful Villa at the top of a hill
We stayed here for a long weekend getaway to the BVIs. The house was gorgeous and the views are simply stunning. The house itself was well-equipped and very clean. The master bathroom is particularly nice with the semi-outdoor feel. The pool was very nice after a long hot day running around the island. Lynn the property manager was extremely responsive and led the way to the house from the ferry dock which was very helpful (I'm not sure I'd have found it just using Google maps). The part about the steep, winding roads is no joke! 4x4 is a must to get to the place, and prepare for a bone-rattling ride up some very sketchy roads - but hey, that's Tortola. One thing to note is that the upstairs bedroom is accessed via a narrow spiral staircase - very cool, but might pose a problem to someone with mobility issues. Overall the stay was exceptional. I would love to stay here again the next time I'm on the islands.

Tortola is a small but very hilly island, so you always need a car even for a short distance. We would advise renting a 4X4 you need this car to get to the house during rain. Also, the roads on Tortola are not always in good condition.
Renting a car is very easy, and the car rental people will meet you on arrival or will leave your car with keys at the villa, dock or airport.
