Beautiful, Comfy, Spacious, Great View!
We had a great time, really enjoyed the home, beautiful view of Lambert Beach, great almost private beach! Kayaks included, snorkeling, great for family of 5 with teenagers, nice breeze up on the hill through the home, swimming pool, couldn't ask for more!

Amazing vacation in 2016
The pictures are of both virgin Gorda and turtlebay beach. Guy's villa was amazing!!!!! He made sure that every vacationer is comfortable. There are noodles, scuba gear, a surf board, a good size pool, speakers for the outside dining table, king beds, bathrooms for each room. Amazing!!! There is a cat, Mr. Kat, who lingers around. My family are pet people, so we don't mind. All previous guests leave behind condiments and spices so don't worry if you think you forgot Sazon or mustard. 9/10 it is stocked at the villa already. The villa is super secluded and located on a hill. That was the only negative, but the whole island is hilly. You will definitely feel like a celebrity in this villa. ENJOY!!

Stunning and the house comes with unique Mr Kat
We came to the island for business reasons and the Villa offered comfort, space and tranquillity in the evening times to recover from the hot day at work. The Villa has a guest: Mr Kat. He is unique, very affectionate and he deserve all the attentions he demands - even though perhaps a bit too much, he is needy indeed!
I recommend this stay, and I would really love to come back for just leisure. Ensure you have a good car to go around the islands, those hills are steep.

A little gem
We visited Tortola for a wedding and rented the villa via the internet. The views are spectacular and the rooms very clean and spacious. The linen and towels were exceptional and the villa has a real home from home feel.
The communication from Guy could not be faulted and we would happily recommend this villa to others that understand the villas on Caribbean islands are not easy to access due to the local road infrastructure being different to European expectations. A little gem that we loved!

Spectacular tropical villa in an amazing setting in beautiful Tortola
We stayed in Gryphon's Lair for a week in February and the place is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The views are outstanding and the villa itself is clean, comfortable and just perfect in every way. Gus and Laura thought of everything, provided top quality amenities, and were always readily available to answer the few questions we had (i.e. will be able to watch the Superbowl? Yes and Go Pats! ) If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable place to spend your vacation, you will not be sorry if you choose Gryphon's Lair.

It was our first trip to Tortola and it was wonderful. The views from the villa were incredible and we really enjoyed Lambert Beach which is a short drive down the hill. Having beach chairs, cooler and other beach toys made the stay even more enjoyable.
We found the owner Guy wonderful to deal with and he was always very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this villa. The owners guide at the villa was very helpful for day trip recommendations and restaurants.

Paradise Found
We ( my husband and I and another couple) enjoyed an amazing weeklong stay at Gryphon's Lair after Bare boating for 5 days. Guy was quick to respond to all our questions. The layout provides privacy yet the common areas were perfect for sharing. All bedrooms had a breathtaking view of Lambert Beach and Guana. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware we needed. We used the grill several times also. The pool was a bonus end to each fabulous day. The notebook provided gave us lots of good tips for beaches, snorkeling and restaurant choices, I would also like to suggest using Ms. Penguin who makes frozen meals for charters. The meals were reasonable and we spent more time enjoying the pool and our view than in the kitchen!The location was perfect - away from it all yet close enough to get to any bay or beach within 30 minutes. We thought about taking some of the suggested day trips but there was too much to do and see on Tortola - we hope to return!

Wonderful Home with Amazing Views and Location
Stayed for a week with our boys who are 14,12, & 9. The view of Lambert Beach is nothing short of amazing, enjoying the sounds of the ocean with a morning cup of coffee is spectacular. Our boys loved the pool, snorkeling gear, Lizards and resident cat who visits on occasion.
The East end is quiet and peaceful but close enough to Roadtown to pick up supplies. The owners have set the home up to make the most of the environment and outdoors. Guy offered numerous tips on beaches, activities and restaurants. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!

Amazing Villa with unbelievable views!
My husband, sister, and brother-in-law absolutely loved our stay at Gryphon’s Lair Villa. From the moment we booked, Guy was super helpful. When we arrived we couldn't believe our eyes; the home was gorgeous, comfortable, clean, well appointment, and perfect for two couples. The views from every corner of the house were breathtaking. The kitchen was well stocked with all the needed tools for cooking but we did venture out often to try all the great local restaurants nearby. We used the pool a lot and absolutely loved Lambert Beach right in front of the villa. The complimentary beach chairs, beach towels and cooler were a nice touch as well and the kayaks were a lot of fun. We truly loved everything about this place. Can’t wait to return to Tortola and stay here again! We are recommending this villa to all of our family and friends!

A relaxing tropical paradise with spectacular views of the Caribbean
Our stay at Gryphon's Lair in Lambert Beach was extremely relaxing from the moment we walked up the steps to the deck and looked over the tropical gardens and saw the view of the Caribbean Sea and beach. Tortola is a lovely island but in some areas the local livestock can be noisy. Not so with Lambert Beach. It is a secluded area protected by the topography and cattle grates to keep out the animals. There are no 4 a.m. rooster wake up calls here. Just the gentle sound of waves on the beach 300 feet below our bedroom window. The beds were very comfortable with great pillows, soft sheets and hotel quality bed coverings. There are plenty of bath and beach towels. There is nothing sweeter than waking up to the soft chirping of birds while having morning coffee overlooking Lambert cove. My husband loved watching the many yachts anchored in the water and I saw the most beautiful hummingbirds hovering in the tropical flowers a few feet from the deck. Lambert Beach is within walking distance but we preferred taking the snorkel equipment and beach chairs by car. The outdoor shower was a treat after the beach. We enjoyed taking the ferry to Peter Island for a day trip; Virgin Gorda is also worth a visit.. My husband and I always make a reservation at the nearby, romantic Brandywine Estate restaurant for dinner when we visit Tortola.
Back to Gryphon's Lair...We cooked several meals at the house, the kitchen is very well stocked and the dishwasher came in handy. That left more time for a glass of wine after dinner as the sun set and the tropical sky filled with color. We look forward to visiting Gryphon's Lair in the future and next time we will bring some friends with us to enjoy this Caribbean treasure.
