Booked for Group
This was a very clean home, with all the amenities. It was within walking distance of the downtown area, although it is a steep walk up hill coming back. It was a nice place to come back to after taking time to explore St. John's.

Excellent stay at Bannerman House in St. John's!
I stayed at the Bannerman House and can't say enough about how great it was. Spacious, well-equipped, clean and tidy, nice showers and bathrooms, and a well-kept kitchen. The location is very convenient, just up the street from Water Street and Duckworth. Close to some great restaurants like Oliver's (you need to reserve!), and walking distance to George Street. I would definitely recommend that you put Bannerman House on your consideration list for your next visit to St. John's!

Great location!
This house is in the middle of everything! We were able to walk to shops, restaurants and the beautiful park up the street. We very much enjoyed our stay. The owner is very considerate and helpful.

Home away from home
The house was in a great location, able to walk to almost all places in downtown.
We found the house very clean, and well equipped. It was our haven to return to after long days of touring around the area.
I would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting in St. John’s.
Bonnie was a great help with info about things that we required, wouldn’t have been near as easy without her.

Bannerman House
The Bannerman house was absolutely fabulous. Great location, cozy and welcoming interior, surprising backyard oasis. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Saint Johns.

Perfect typical St-John's house! Had everything we needed. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
The host was very helpful. The house was perfectly clean and had everything our family needed to spend a great week.

Absolutley Loved It
This was a really lovely place to stay, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The house was very peaceful and relaxing. The location was spot on, an easy walk to downtown but plenty of on street parking.
We didn't meet Bonnie but she responded to any queries very promptly and did offer to meet up if needed.
We loved the garden and enjoyed the fish. We even managed to sit out in October.
We will definitely return.

We parked our rental for most of our 1 week stay at Bannerman House as we could walk EVERYWHERE. Water, Duckworth and, of course, George Street were not longer than a 15 minute walk. As were The Rooms, the Haunted Walk, The Folk Festival and The Regatta at Quidi Vidi( have to really like a civic holiday determined by the weather :) ). The house itself is incredibly well finished, fully stocked, and the private 'garden with fish pond' in the back is a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of St. Johns. Added bonus: the jetted soaker tub felt just fine after a day of walking the hills of St. John's.

Thank you so much for the exceptionally kind and detailed review. You picked the best dates to come to Newfoundland, and arrived just as the weather was getting hot (finally), managed to take in all the festivals, and were here during the time when my garden is at its peak in beauty. Great breakfast in a charming historic building,wonderful owner!
Well appointed guest rooms with modern bathrooms.Fridge in room with well decorated
period pieces.WIFI and all other modern devices.Parking pass included in price,parking
across the street.Second floor rooms might be a challenge for those with heavy suitcases.

Great place to stay!
Bannerman House is a great place to stay if you're in St. John's. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights at the start of a 3 week tour of New Foundland. It's a very comfortable home, well decorated, furnished and fully equipped, with the bonus of a small garden at the back. Restaurants and bars etc., are within walking distance. The Yellow Belly Brewery is the best bar/restaurant - with good beers, food and friendly, helpful staff. Oliver's Bistro is excellent.
Hiking along parts of the East Coast Trail is also a must if you're able.
I hope the other places we've booked to stay in are as good as Bannerman House.
