Paradijsje in Noord Bali
Zeer ruime en comfortabele villa. Met veel oog voor detail vormgegeven, alles klopt. Veel privacy en een uiterst vriendelijke staf tot je beschikking voor tripjes in de omgeving en voor heerlijke maaltijden. Aanrader!

A private five star luxury paradise
We have just got back from a 2 week stay at Rumah Buka. We knew the house would be nice and that north Bali would be better suited to our sentiments (less tourists, more culture and authenticity). What we were not prepared for is just how much of a paradise the house and its location is. If feels like you step into your own 5-star private luxury resort. The house and its gardens are immaculately maintained, the pool, patio and decks are marvelous and right next to the sea. And the staff are truly marvelous, catering to every need you may have. You know you have struck gold when you are in a mini bus with other tourists coming home from a satisfying day out snorkeling at Menjangan Island. Although the other people seemed perfectly satisfied with their accommodation, their jaws dropped in amazement when we pulled up at our villa. Their words: ‘Seriously?’ We spent our first night on Bali at a hotel near Depensar before traveling north to the villa. We booked a comfortable hotel with a nice pool and detached huts. Funny to think back now that we were concerned we had made a mistake with the villa, that perhaps we should have stayed south. As soon as Pablo (the driver) pulled up at the villa, we realized we were in for a treat. The house is huge but from the front door you can see straight through the hall and living to the garden and sea. I hope I never forget that moment, it brings a smile to my face I wish to hold onto as long as I can! Thank you Ton, Maddy, Wayan, Pablo, Kafut, Binter and Koman for making our stay at the paradise you have so carefully created, so accommodating and effortless!

Een paradijsje op Bali
Voor de vierde keer terug. Fantastisch huis, prachtige tuin en een staff met Wayan, Binter, Komang, Ketut en de altijd beschikbare taxi van Pablo. Wil jezelf iets ontdekken, huur dan een scooter. Veel te zien in de omgeving! Hoop voor ons 60 jarige trouwdag weer terug te komen.

Fantastische villa
Wat een fantastische villa, zeer ruim, prachtige tuin en groot zwembad. De slaapkamers zijn zeer ruim en mooi. De buitendouches vind ik echt super! Dit was onze tweede keer in de villa en zeker niet de laatste keer. En dan het personeel; allemaal super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wayan die goed Engels spreekt en heerlijk kan koken, Lou die haar hielp met schoonmaken en koken en Komang, de security. En Pablo, de vriendelijke chauffeur die altijd klaar stond als we ergens naar toe wilden. We hadden wederom een fantastische week!

Traumurlaub
Wir waren mit 4 erwachsenen und zwei kleinen Kindern für 16 Tage dort .Eine traumhafte Villa , mit schönem , gepflegtem Garten . Ein großer Pool , lediglich der Strand war nicht so schön , aber das kann die Villa auch nicht ändern Wayan , die Hausfee hat uns verwöhnt und jeden Tag tolle Essen gezaubert , auf unsere Bedürfnisse abgestimmt Pablo, der Fahrer hat uns geduldig und kompetent durch den Norden Balis geführt und für weitere Aktionen im Süden auch einen Kontakt gegeben Es war einfach wunderschön dort Herzlichen Dank Ton und Maddy

Villa with beatiful garden, swimming pool right by the beach
Rumah Buka (in translation "Open House") has earned its name, it is right by the beach, but what I love the most is that there is no fence, it brings the infinity of the ocean to swimming pool and villa. We spent most of the days in the ocean, by the pool or walking around beautiful garden (kudos to Binter), just in case you want to try something else: - want to hike, cycle? no problem, they have trekking poles, bicycles in storage, also paddleboards and many others things, just ask them - fresh fish at local fishermen is 200m away or ask Wayan to buy it at fish market in Lovina, she will also cook any cuisine style you want - visit the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali, 1.5h away by car, Pablo will be happy to take you anywhere - Krisna water sports is only 500m away

Wanderful location, I recommend it 100%
The villa is very beautiful, opening to the ocean, so you can enjoy a beautiful sunset every evening. The garden is meticulously maintained, every day, and includes various wonderful species of plants and tropical flowers. I appreciated that the staff was very responsive to our attention regarding the garbage brought from the sea to the shore and they immediately took measures to remove it daily. We enjoyed the dishes cooked by the staff, they helped us with the purchase of fresh products from the local fish market. We were very pleasantly surprised when one of the evenings, during dinner, the staff responsible for guarding the villa played us a local musical instrument. We stayed for 9 nights and enjoyed every moment!

True Paradise
We have just returned from a fantastic 3.5 week stay at Villa Rumah Buka - words cannot describe how AMAZING it is, the experience will live in our memories forever. We have stayed in many places around the world, this is our No.1 favourite. The villa is very large, it has an enormous infinity pool (amazing!!), it is right on the beach in a gorgeous setting and is in a very quiet neighbourhood - the photos look excellent, however it’s even more beautiful in real life!! The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, warm, accommodating and unobtrusive - without doubt they are among the most conscientious and caring that a traveller will ever meet. Wayan (housekeeper/chef) was fantastic, she kept the villa spotless and was an amazing cook. We looked forward to her delicious delights every morning (eggs, fresh fruit salad, coffee/tea etc.) and evening (spring rolls, fried rice, noodles, curry, chicken cordon bleu, chicken dishes, fish etc. - the list goes on and on…). The meals were amazing, made from fresh food she purchased at the market the same morning and the cost was very inexpensive. Binter (gardener) kept the grounds and the swimming pool immaculate, no sooner had a leaf fallen on the grass Binter was there tidying it up!! Komang did an excellent job keeping us comfortable overnight and entertaining us with his special musical instrument during dinner. The staff at the Villa will help you arrange anything you need, nothing is too much trouble. It was such a wonderful, peaceful getaway for us where 'staying home at the villa' was such a delight. Wayan made arrangements for a car and driver to take us to the lakes, temples, monkey forrest, coffee plantation and to visit Ubud. We also went on a dolphin safari and were picked up right in front of our villa on our beach, how cool is this!!! The property owners, Maddy and Ton, were excellent, communication was fast, friendly and efficient, we were well looked after before, during and after our stay - the information book was extremely helpful and informative also. We highly recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for the perfect vacation villa in a more relaxed part of Bali. There isn't anything we would change about our trip to beautiful Villa Rumah Buka, we will definitely return, hopefully very soon.

Return visit
Despite the Pandemic the villa has been maintained and appeared as good as our previous visit in 2020. The staff were friendly and efficient in their roles and as before Wayan made us lovely meals, Bintang kept the pool and gardens immacuetly clean and tidy and Komag played taditional music while we ate dinner. We used Bemo transport a few times to get into Lovina which was cheap and easy. The Krisna Water sports place up the road a short walk away has a reasonable restaurant for lunch and there is also a fast food place (similar to KFC) turn L) out of JL Tulip and its on the right hand side of the road and a short walk. The small warung on JL Tulip still sells the cheapest cold Bintang and also soft drinks. Pedro (Villa driver) picked us up in Nusa Dua and drove us to the Villa stopping at a lovely restaurant on the way and stopped at Pepito supermarket in Lovina so we could stock up with snacks and lunch items. We walked a lot around the local area through ricefiels and vineyards and along the beach both directions. The hawkers along the beach are really doing in tuff so please dont haggle too much, they are very friendly and I enjoyed our chats. Will be back for sure.

Amazing!!!
Of all of the places that we have been fortunate enough to stay around the world, this is our new favorite. The large clean well appointed home, the big pool, the large covered veranda, right on the beach in a very quiet neighborhood. The staff were wonderful; Pablo drove us to wherever we wanted to go, Binter kept the grounds and pool looking great, Komang made sure that we secure at night, and Wayan kept the house clean and was a great cook! Wayan cooked breakfast and dinner for us everyday except on her day off. The meals were great and the cost was very inexpensive. Communication with the property managers, Maddy and Ton was always fast, friendly and efficient. They even provided a local help person, Anik, who was only a phone call away for any assistance that you might need. There are many nice villas in Bali but this one would be hard to beat!
