Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in dieser sauberen Ferienwohnung
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Josh und seine Familie sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Er ist gleichzeitig auch ein Taxifahrer und hat uns einen Tag die schönsten Ecken im Süden von Mauritius gezeigt.
Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet. Es gibt eine großzügige Küchenzeile, ein Schlafzimmer mit sehr bequemen Betten und ein Bad mit getrennter Dusche. Klimaanlagen sind nur im Schlafzimmer vorhanden, was ich aber absolut ausreichend finde. Der nächste Supermarkt ist zu Fuß 15 Minuten entfernt. Ohne Auto ist es etwas kompliziert die Wasserkästen zu transportieren. Aber Josh hat uns gerne beim Einkauf unterstützt. Es gibt in der Nähe einige lohnenswerte Ausflugsziele. Für einen Partyurlaub ist der Ort jedoch nicht wirklich geeignet und der nächste Strand kann nur bequem per Bus erreicht werden. Busse auf Mauritius sind ein Abenteuer, jedoch sehr zuverlässig und ein günstiges Verkehrsmittel. Hier kann man auch wunderbar mit den Menschen in Kontakt kommen.
Trotzdem eine meiner Top Empfehlungen auf Mauritius!

wonderful place and great host!!
Josh is a wonderful person and a perfect host ! Communication is the key of this good experience, i could talk with him before my arrival via whatsapp and everything was clear since begin ! I could get car rental from him and airport transfer to airport ! Room itself is like a mini apartment, you get everything you need , big bed, large room, large bathroom and table with chairs outside the room to relax after a day of sun ! Behind his property you have access to sea which is not the best in that part( rocky beach) BUT you've got AN AMAZING view over Le Morne and trust me you can get astonishing SUNSET!

Cheap and poorly maintained.
My husband and I stayed here because of the good reviews we'd read online. It was cheap (approx £35/night) but it wasn't well maintained at all.
There were 2 rooms - a bathroom (with a shower, sink and toilet) and a kitchen/dining room/bedroom.
Bathroom was ok but the shower only allowed either cool or very hot water. It was very difficult to get anything in between. The towels weren't changed daily which was fine but after 2 days I would have expected fresh towels, especially after we'd deliberately left them on the floor of the shower because they were a little dirty and needed changing.
The other room was missing a blind or curtain over the high window which meant every morning the sun would stream in and wake you very early (from around 5am). The cutlery was old, damaged and breaking with plastic handles that were cracking. In the end I was using a tea spoon to butter bread because the metal part of the knife wouldn't stay in the handle. There were also a lot of empty jars in the cupboards (possibly from previous visitors) that someone really should have thrown away. Luckily I checked what the large jar was before my husband sprinkled salt on his cereal in the morning.....
The light over the dining table didn't work. When we spoke to the owners they said that they'd have to get a new bulb from town but couldn't do it any time soon so we ended up moving the table to where the bed was so we could see what we had on our plates when we were eating dinner!! Also there was a T.V. on the wall but it got no reception and there was just a pile of copied DVD's to watch instead. There were mostly 3 pin sockets in the rooms but conversely most of the appliances such as the kettle and hair dryer had 2 pin plugs on them. This meant we had to do a lot of sharing of the 1 adapter there was in the room!!
On the plus side it was cheap and there was parking for our rental car. The little studio apartment has a lot of potential but the owners need to treat it like a business and (really quite simply) maintain it to a better standard rather than an extension of their home because having basic things not working is NOT ok. Very disappointed as we still got charged the full price.

Great stay and lovely hosts
We loved the beautiful area around la gaulette and had an awesome stay at the riverside apartments. The family is very nice and Josh gave us lots of helpful tips on what to do in the area. Would definitely recommend the place and come back on our next Mauritius trip!

Outstanding hospitality expirience
It wasnt so easy to find decent place to stay just after NY but thx God we booked this appartments. In one sentence I'd say: "It's like stay at a home with your family".
Its perfectly located, it's modern with big space incide and from every windows view are spectacular. What was the most surprising and pleasent is daily cleaning service and changing bed clothes like in the best fancy hotels.
And of course, a speciL attention deserved the host and his family - they were very kind and responsive. If you will be somehere around La Gaulette this place is our highest recomendation to stay at!

Tres bon sejour
L'appartement est tres beau, tres propre. La vue est sympa. L'accueil est chaleureux.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Super bon plan et accueil génial
Ce studio est grand, d'une propreté irréprochable, situé non loin du morne et de nombreux centre d'intérêt nature dans cette partie plus authentique de l'île. Accueil familial et hyper agréable de Joshill et Preshila . Et excellent rapport qualité prix.
Je recommande fortement ;-)
