Burren holiday
Had a great week with 3 generation as of family. 10 to 85 years.Kids loved the rabbits foxes and calves. Beautiful area, loved the fire at night. Saw loads ,ate loads. Anne couldn’t have been more welcoming. The area is beautiful with lots to see and do. Second time here and will definitely be back.

One of Ireland's hidden secrets
The Burren at Fanore and the mountain landscape is one of Ireland's hidden secrets. To explore, discover and enjoy, in our opinion, there is only one way: stay in one of Anne and John's Cottages and enjoy unsurpassable access to this truly amazing area. Anne and John couldn't be more kind and helpful.
There are many delights throughout the season and the limestone flora takes you from the Arctic to Alpine Europe. Just to name one: gentians - unforgetable.
The cottage couldn't be more comfortable - everything we needed was there. This made our stay superb.

Eine sehr schöne Zeit in Fanore
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Fanore. Das Cottage liegt wundervoll, der Blick auf den Atlantik begeistert. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir konnten uns sehr gut erholen. Der Kontakt mit Ann war sehr freundlich.

This is the real Ireland!
This is the real Ireland! We stayed at Fanore Holiday Cottages in Fanore, County Clare. Setting of the cottages is breathtaking with views to both ocean and mountains. Cottages are comfortable, spacious and very clean with well appointed kitchens. Accommodations are family friendly with various bed options (twin, full) and dishwasher, washer/dryer. Living rooms appointed with the all important fireplace; we enjoyed many a nightcap in front of a peat fire. Cottages close to local pubs with live music, excellent food and beverages. Fanore Beach less than one mile away with gorgeous dunes leading to flat sand areas. You will pass by cows, alpacas, sheep, goats and countless rabbits into and out of Fanore. The Burren area also includes several ancient castles, forts and fortifications. Fanore is very accessible to Cliffs of Moher, ferries to Aran Islands, town of Lahinch with excellent golf course and towns of Dingle and Kinvarra with top notch restaurants. Hosts Anne and John Burke are lifelong residents of the area, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. Can’t wait to go back again!

The house, the area, the hosts all deserve 5 stars. An unexpected plus was the wifi which I had warned all my guests would be non existent as it was not advertised. Cozy beds, a basket of turf to welcome you and the host Anne who makes you feel like a long lost friend. There was nothing that we felt was forgotten and a bonus was the great array of games to suit any ages and many a competitive hour was spent in the evenings. As a returning visitor to the area I still felt I had lot left to see and to show my guests an outstanding beautiful area.

Mid-term beside the Sea
Had a great week in Fanore, the cottage is just perfect and the location is incredible. The open fire was amazing every night at this time of year. 5mins from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean which is gorgeous even in winter. Doolin is only a short drive away and plenty of great food available there. Will definitely go back here again! Anne couldn't have been more helpful as a host.

Amazing stay in Fanore!
Beautiful house, nicely equipped kitchen. The surrounding area is so interesting and so quiet. Lots of cute bunnies in the yard. Had dinner down the street twice at O’Donahues pub, excellent fish and chips and delicious fish chowder. Chowder served with that delicious brown bread I am now addicted to! The little store across from the pub has everything you need. They even had my favorite shampoo I didn’t pack. The owners are super friendly and nice. The bathtub in the house was so nice! Got bubble bath at the little store and enjoyed a nice bath. Plenty of hot water to fill it up! Would recommend this house to anyone! Fanore was a beautiful place to stage our Irish adventure from for the three nights we spent there. We visited the cliffs of Mohr and braved the descent to see the largest stalactite in the northern hemisphere at Doolin caves. Also, dinner at Fitz’s Pub in Doolin was fantastic. The Rock Shop in the town south of the Cliffs of Mohr was a great stop! They have an huge selection of crystals, stones, and fossils. We took a day trip to Galway, visited the Atlantiquarium and took the Hop On, Hop Off train to visit the city Center. Had lunch at the Rooster Cafe, which was very delicious! Ann came and checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and helped with questions we had. The wifi worked wonderfully! Thank you Ann for providing an excellent rental in your amazing community.

Exceptional place
Just got back from 4 nights in this exceptional cottage. Great host, Anne couldn't do enough for us. Home from home. Beautiful scenery great walks, would love to come back to this lovely cottage. Beautiful sunsets.

A gorgeous holiday location with outstanding views and a lovely cottage.
I loved my stay at Fanore Cottages! The cottage seems small on the outside, but inside it is spacious and has gorgeous, cottage style furniture. Outdoors there is a wide range of colourful flowers with delightful scents. Quite close to these outstanding cottages there were cows, calves and bulls, and the environment was so peaceful around them. Panoramic views of the Burren included. Another good thing about these lovely cottages is their location. They are located close to a majestic beach where kids enjoy to play. Inside the taps there was naturally filtered water, which was quite healing, that came from the Burren, which I mentioned about earlier. The water had such a fine taste. Although water is considered tasteless, this one may have been, but somehow not, which gave it a pure taste, if you know what I mean. The owner (Anne) of these splendid cottages was so courteous to us. She kept the cottage so neat and tidy - not a single thing out of place! There was also multiple leaflets including helpful information about other fantastic sights located around the area. So overall I experienced a great and memorable holiday with my family in Fanore Cottages, which I'll never forget for the rest of my life. -Sahara, age 11.

Fantastic spot
We had such a lovely time here in Fanore. Anne was a wonderful host and the amenities and surrounds were outstanding. I would highly recommend it. We hope to visit again in the very near future.
