My husband and kids booked this condo for my 40th birthday. We’ve been to Sanibel a few times before and always stayed at a resort down the beach. We enjoyed the quiet and space this condo had to offer. It’s an older unit but beautifully and comfortably decorated. We enjoyed having our own rooms as well as a comfortable space to relax in the evenings. I was disappointed the fan on the patio didn’t work to help with some of the heat though. It was great having a washer and dryer. There were some Turkish beach towels that we had never tried that were a game changer. We ordered some on our way home. There were beach chairs and a cart and several beach toys in the shed. They were quite worn from the rust but did the job. 2 bikes were supposed to be available but one was locked to another that was obviously not available for guests so we could only use one. Luckily we brought our kids bikes and enjoyed being able to store in the shed. There is a designated covered parking spot right in front of the shed and 2 floors below the unit. It was very convenient to have that space and shade. We rented a paddle board from Finnemore and they delivered right to us free of charge. Dolphin swam about 5 feet from my daughter while paddle boarding, her highlight of the trip. The pool was a nice area but we found it to be too warm so just spent our time in the ocean. We brought our own tent and were thankful since it was very windy a few days and the ones in the shed probably would not have held up. Definitely recommend using something for shade. The sun is super intense. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Island Beach Club and will consider this unit again in the future when we vacation in Sanibel again!
