Firstly when we arrived, we'd only gone by the pictures online. Let me tell you that they undersell the property and location massively, the ceilings are high, the chalet is built to an extremely high standard and the amenities are second to none. There is a fully equipped kitchen with state of the art cooking including a top end oven & induction hob - even a dishwasher.
The log burner is to die for and is situated in the living room which is just off the open plan kitchen. We had great nights sat cosy in front of the fire despite Storm Dennis battering everywhere around us. The view of the loch and the mountains behind it are a perfect backdrop.
The main bedroom is a thing of beauty - it could have been easily made into two rooms but the owners has kept it luxurious and spacious. A very large super king sized bed with perfect mattress occupies the middle space, an interesting high rise bunk bed with fold-away ladder makes a perfect little den for the kids to watch a film and a lovely set of patio doors open out into the gardens and provides views of the mountains on the other side of the property.
The second bedroom is quaint and houses a good sized double bed and enough space for a travel cot.
The bathroom is well equipped with a shower, large bath and wc.
At the bottom of the driveway is a sea-water loch which you can walk right upto, and walk along.
It was a perfect getaway in a lovely place. Internet is provided but we found no use for it, much better to turn off the phones and laptops and enjoy each others company. Will stay again for sure - thank you Karl
