This cosy cottage felt like a home away from home... Some days it was difficult to decide if we should stay or we should go out roaming the area, in particular the highly enjoyable 3 hr walk from Nairn to Cawdor.
As well as being a lovely place to be, the Drumduan Mill had all the facilities for a truly comfortable stay, with a spacious lounge/living room, a fully equipped kitchen, fantastic bathroom and showers, comfy beds, lots of storage space and a West-facing patio for perfect barbecues and fires looking at the wonderful Scottish sunsets we were so lucky to have.
It’s a place we are most determined to visit again, hopefully this time with full access to all the nearby historic places we couldn’t visit because of the current limitations.
Keep in mind it’s the Scottish Highlands, so walking boots and waterproofs are a must. Walking sticks and crampons might also come handy should you decide to climb Ben Nevis
