We stayed one week in the cottage and loved ist. Utterly chocolate box cute and very comfortable with high quatity of Electronic devices.The furniture and generell decoration Shows the care the owner took with his cottage.The Park nearby is lovely for an evening stroll.Bearing in mind that the Gates are closing at 21.00h.We recommend to spend an evening at the harbour pub, just for the beautiful Sunset. We noticed that the majority of taxidriver had difficulties to find The cottage,best to Tell them poolbeg Yacht and boat Club,it is The Same street.

This cottage was described as a “niche” location by our taxi driver when he dropped us off. Not part of any tourist area, being off the beaten path meant a brisk walk into the city and fewer nearby venues but the payoff was a charming haven with comfortable rooms, stuffed bookshelves, a well equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace to enjoy after a long day in Dublin. It felt straight out of a James Joyce novel- and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommended for people who prefer to avoid anonymous hotels and want a characterful experience run by a polite, attentive host.

Billy's place was great! Lots of things within walking distance and an easy uber to Temple bar. We will definitely be back!

Petite maison de ville située à 15mn à pied des bus qui vous conduisent au centre de Dublin. Cottage calme malgré la proximité des docks. La propreté des lieux laissait à désirer lors de notre arrivée ( nourriture restée dans le réfrigérateur non nettoyé, le congélateur etait givré, sols mal nettoyés, carreaux des fenetres sales! Sans compter la poussière sur tous les meubles) Dommage que cela ait terni notre séjour.

We found the cottage absolutely lovely. The attention to detail is evident in how it's been restored to period charm with antique furniture and fittings, but it doesn't skimp on practical modern conveniences - reliable wifi throughout, and the Dualit toaster and kettle got a good workout with morning tea and toast. The beds were very comfortable, and our host's generous provision of towels was very welcome. The laminated information page listing local walks, attractions, etc was useful, though we barely got to try any of it as we were in town for a conference which took up most of our time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a quiet little retreat for writers and researchers looking for something more inspiring than a generic hotel room or bland b&b.

Siamo stati in questa abitazione nel periodo di San Patrizio, per passare una vacanza assieme ad amici. La casa, situata vicino alla 3 arena (pullman per aeroporto e centro) era localizzata in periferia, ma con biciclette o mezzi pubblici ci siamo adattati comodamente. Organizzata su due piani presenta due camere al piano superiore e un bagno al piano terra. Vi è un supermercato (Tesco) nelle vicinanze. Tutto perfetto, host gentile e sempre disponibile. Consigliatissimo!

I booked this location for our family - my daughter attending Riverdance training in Dublin. We had a confirmed reservation that was cancelled four days later. We are now scrambling to find something comparable and can't find anything we can afford - we had several to choose from last week, but now there is nothing left in our budget. We have considered that my daughter may need to cancel her spot with Riverdance due to finances. SEVERELY disappointed. (NOTE: Why are consumers severely penalized for cancelling a booking, but not the owners of properties? We are inconvenienced just as much, probably more, than the property owners when they cancel on us)

Das Haus von Billy ist einfach nur empfehlenswert. Bereits zum zweiten Mal buchte ich diese wunderschöne Unterkunft und ich bin, wie damals auch schon, absolut zufrieden. der Kontakt zu Billy war immer unkompliziert und sehr sehr freundlich. Ich weiß, dass ich wiederkomme :-)

This was not my first stay. I discovered this quaint spot years ago and just loved it, being close to the docks as well as within walking distance of the city was ideal Billy is a very gracious host,and checked in to ensure we were all sorted. The property itself is very comfortable. I look forward to revisiting soon.

Nice, stylish and very clean house in the harbour of dublin. On arrival one might think "oh my god" but the house is nice, and it is more quiet in the night than one would think. Billy is a good host and the house is well equipped!
