Everything you could want in a well located kentish cottage
We had a very good stay in this lovely cottage. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage had everything you could need. Rita and Steve went out of the way to make our stay better. The welcome pack is exceptional and was very much appreciated. The cottage is in an excellent position to explore local tourist attractions such as castles and historic buildings whilst enjoying the peaceful country surroundings.

A true gem
Cosy, well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring Kent's famous 'Garden of England'. Steve and Rita couldn't have been more helpful and supplied a generous welcome pack including milk, bread and eggs plus pears from the orchard and other goodies.
I found the bed very comfortable, but hubby prefers a very firm mattress which this wasn't. (Note that the circular bed has been pensioned off!!).

Second Stay as Great as the First
We stayed here for the second time because we enjoyed it so much the first time. It is a relaxing cottage in a beautiful environment. It’s very comfortable with everything you need.

What a great little cottage...peaceful...relaxing...everything you could need! The weather was perfect and we sat in the orchard every morning and had breakfast.
We had a lovely weekend and hope to return one day soon.

Superb country location yet close to all ameninties
Rita and Steve our hosts could not be more helpful in making out
stay enjoyable..
Pear Tree Cottage is a snug, comfortable rural retreat
in the beautiful Kent countryside --, yet it's strategically close to London ( an hour
only by car). It's also offers ready accessibility to other areas in southern England..
In short, Pear Tree cottage is a great base for one to relax and recharge their batteries -- after taking in the the myriad sights and attractions of the large urban centers.

Pear Tree Cottage-Just Perfect.
Pear Tree Cottage is just lovely, well equipped with everything you could possibly need, Steve & Rita are the perfect hosts, very welcoming and will always help out when needed. Lovely area to visit with Chatham Dock yard, Teapot Island and the Hythe Dimchurch railway, National Trust places to visit which are lovely.We stayed at Pear Tree Cottage for our Wedding Aniversary we had a great time, weather was great and we would certainly go back again, a lovely place to stay.

Tranquil Oasis
Beautiful spot & glorious weather. Great hosts and thoughtful welcome basket. There was also lots of basic bits, you neglect to bring when self-catering. We ate in the garden every evening as we were able to cook everything in the excellent facilities. Perfick break!! We hope to come again. Thank you x

Absolutely Beautiful Garden!
We really enjoyed our stay at Pear Tree Garden! The cottage was very comfortable, with a large open living, kitchen and dining area. It is well stocked with everything one would need to feel at home. We loved the Swan on the Green, which is walking distance! The food and beer from their own brewery was excellent but for me the best of the best was the pear orchard. There is actually a small pear orchard with a patio and table set and a chimney style bar-b-que. A walk across the orchard reveals the most beautiful view of countryside and villages. We also enjoyed a few walks along the public footpath that wound through the farmland. It was the best!

Wonderful Countryside Experience
The cottage is set in beautiful Kent countryside with views of the Downs and lovely sunsets - weather permitting!
It is down a farm track path but easily drivable in a regular car (slowly) but yet within easy walking of a great brew pub (The Swan on the Green - Trumpeter Best recommended)
We were spoilt with the hottest April day in 79 years during our stay and really enjoyed breakfast on the patio! The cottage is well furnished, and the kitchen well stocked with everything you need. As previously mentioned the welcome pack is great too. Steve and Rita were away when we visited but we were well taken care of by Ann so many thanks.
Although it feels isolated the road links are very good and nearby towns quickly accessed.
We will definitely stay here again next time we visit the area.

Pear tree cottage
First rate place to stay!!! It has everything needed for an incredible home from home experience. Provisions in the welcome pack are well thought out!! Steve even supplied me with extra milk!!! A wonderful cottage in every way!!!
