Highly recommended. We had a perfect stay at the Gite. Patrick was very organized and communicated very clearly. Booking the Gite and getting useful information about our stay was very quick and convenient. The property is well-located, being a short walk to the town of Azay le Rideau. You will find everything you need for a nice stay in this town and it boasts several great restaurants. This area is a great location for a base to explore the Loire Valley. The grounds of the Gite are very quiet and well-maintained; the garden is simply beautiful, and gives a sense of serene seclusion. The Gite had every appliance we needed, and there's a book of clear instructions for everything. Also, it was kept meticulously clean. We really enjoyed ourselves and appreciated Patrick's hospitality, thoroughness and organization. We would love to come back some day.

Das Plessis-Lepage liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend von Azay-le-Rideau (ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg ins Ortszentrum). Die Wohnung ist hübsch und gemütlich eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Küche ist für eine vierköpfige Familie optimal ausgestattet. Der große Garten mit vielen Sitzplätzen und alten Bäumen ist sehr idyllisch. Letztendlich haben auch die Eigentümer Dominique und Patrick durch ihre herzliche, humorvolle und weltoffene Art zu einem gelungenen Urlaub beigetragen. Patrick et Dominique nous ont accueilli sûr leur site pendant nos vacances d'été. Ils étaient super gentilles et serviables. Patrick nous a prêté deux vélos, en plus, il nous a préparé une route pour notre tour à Villandry. L'atelier était très propre et décoré d'une manière contemporaine mais traditionnelle. Dominique et Patrick sont toujours là pour répondre aux questions. Merci beaucoup les deux !

We were rather anxious about venturing abroad in the current Covid situation but all concerns were allayed as soon as we arrived at Le Plessis-Lepage - we are SO glad that we went ! The 'Atelier was spotless ! Our hosts were very mindful of safety and every care had been taken . The gite is very well laid out and comfortable, with lots of character, and the bathrooms were both good sizes. The walled garden is a lovely and peaceful oasis, and the location was perfect , just a short walk into the village of Azay-le Rideau with its beautiful chateau and a short drive to many others . Patrick and Dominique are charming hosts , on hand to share their huge local knowledge whenever we had a question, but very discreet and unobtrusive as well . We loved our stay at Le Plessis and were very reluctant to leave !! We will definitely be back !

This was a perfect holiday gite, with warm and hospitable hosts. The grounds were great for relaxing in and the walk to Azay is about 10 minutes. There are many interesting places to visit. Patrick and Dominique couldn't have been more helpful, and really wanted to make the stay as good as it could be. The best hosts we have experienced in many visits to France of this kind, they added to the holiday by their approach.

Our expectations were high - and were exceeded in every possible aspect. Patrick and Dominique's gite is an exceptionally well-appointed, extremely comfortable accommodation situated within very private, extensive and beautifully designed and maintained gardens. They have anticipated their guest's every possible need and convenience, equipping the cottage accordingly. On the outskirts of Azay-le-Rideau, the location is mere minutes from the centre of the village and all amenities. It served as an ideal central jumping off point for our two week exploration of the amazing Loire valley. From our initial contact months in advance, through multiple communications up to our arrival, they were unfailingly helpful with suggestions and recommendations to ensure we could enjoy the region to the maximum in the time we had available. With a personalized 'Welcome' posted adjacent to the property's gate, as well as the wine, fresh flowers and warm greeting on arrival, we knew we had arrived at a special place. Fresh cherries and strawberries throughout our stay along with enjoyable conversations with our gracious hosts about the region, its's history and our daily explorations simply enhanced the experience. Patrick and Dominique - we were reluctant to leave - and hope to return one day soon.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le gîte de l Atelier dont le cadre et l’aménagement sont très agréables. Le décor épuré, authentique est vraiment très beau, la situation parfaite pour aller se ballader à pied, en ville ,au château et découvrir la si belle Touraine. Idéalement situé pour découvrir les plus beaux sites et châteaux tous proches. La propriété, son jardin sont un havre de paix. Dans la maison tout est bien pensé pour le confort. Tout y est impécablement propre. On s’y sent vraiment bien. Merçi Madame et Monsieur Lepage pour votre chaleureux acceuil dans votre belle demeure, vos gentilles attentions et votre professionnalisme. Nous rentrons avec l envie d’y revenir! Séjour toujours aussi plaisant (nous y venons depuis de nombreuses années). En premier lieu, pour l'accueil et la gentillesse de Dominique et Patrick. Ensuite pour le grand jardin et le calme tout en bénéficiant d'une proximité avec le centre ville. Le "gite" et "l'atelier" vous permettent de passer un séjour en totale autonomie avec un confort et des équipements très complets (y compris informatique). A noter, en particulier, une propreté irréprochable ! Enfin, la richesse touristique de la région est inépuisable. Une adresse à converser secrètement ou à ne délivrer qu'à d'excellents amis.

Our family really likes Patrick and Dominique house. It's quiet and roomy. The house has everything we need. They even have sewing kit in one of the drawers :-) We had a good time there. Highly recommend

Our gite was in an excellent position within a private walled garden shared with the owners Patrick and Dominique who were very welcoming and helpful. We had a short walk along a quiet lane into the small town which had lovely shops selling food and gifts. The supermarket was a short drive away for other necessities including milk! Also there was a selection of bars and restaurants with varied menus. The local chateau is beautiful with an added bonus of some extraordinary automated exhibits. We were warned before we went to the Loire area not to try and "do" to many chateaux. We took the advice. We only stayed a week and visited the local chateau and one other garden. We walked to the troglodyte village which was fascinating and visited the museum Maurice Dufresne which has an extensive display,Tours and Chinon with there beautiful architecture. A great week especially in our open top car and lovely weather. Loads more to see. Hopefully we'll visit again.
