We stayed overnight at La Sorellerie on our way to and from Bergerac. Some trouble getting the right exit northbound as Exit 22 off the N10 is missing!!, but once we got alongside the river Cher the problem settled. La Sorellerie rests on a peaceful elevated plateau off a quiet residential road in large relaxing gardens. The parking space was generous and secure[ key lockable gate and walls]. The hosts were most welcoming and could not have been more helpful. The upstairs bedrooms we used were large, elegant, and comfortably furnished [ours had a sundeck off the bedroom]. Downstairs were two comfortably furnished airy sitting rooms opening onto the garden, one with the convenience of a refrigerator, kettle, cups for out of hours drinks. Do not miss the experience of breakfast in the garden with homemade bread, pastries, and jams and a wide selection of teas for the discerning. We walked to a very good local restaurant on the riverside the night we arrived and drove a few miles to a local creperie, also on the river, on our return-both of good quality and reasonably priced.
We stayed in the upstairs rooms but understood that there was a disabled friendly room on the ground floor adjacent to the private parking
