Often a location can be excellent, but details are missing. Often you can have a great host, but poor amenities. Here, the space and the owner are top notch, and you can move forward with complete confidence.
The loft is in the middle of the action, without being on a busy intersection. As such, you can be on the plaza in front of Notre Dame Cathedral in less than five minutes, and you can sip wine on the patio without hearing thousands of tourists.
The owner provides a comprehensive guide, and there are the best travel books available if you have unplanned time. The main bed and pull-out have excellent mattresses, and the kitchen and shower facilities are also great. We had four people staying for several days, and we found it easy to roll in with suitcases and get settled easily, as there are drawers and storage in each area.
There are great restaurants nearby, as one might imagine, but in this case you can just walk out of the main door and you'll be at one. One street over is a small, lovely street market for fresh vegetables, seafood, scarves and other goods. You will also find several independent local shops there you might also need: wine, artisan bread and pastries, and a morning latte or cappuccino.
In all, top notch, and we look forward to staying there again for our next trip to Paris.
