bien situé, vieux Nice, plage, place Masséna , tram, train, bus proches permettant une découverte de Nice et du pays Niçois. Nous aurions apprécié que les informations disponibles dans l'appartement soient en français.

Charming apartment in fantastic location!

My boyfriend and I stayed in Frank's apartment for a week in September, and to sum up, the price you pay for this apartment given its size and location, is incredible! Located in the centre of the beautiful Old Town of Nice, the apartment is in the same building as the Michelin star restaurant Bistrot d'Antoine (which is definitely worth a visit!!), and minute walks away from plenty of other restaurants, bars, boulangeries and supermarkets; and a five minute walk to the beach! It's also very close to the Cathedral square and marketplace. We didn't feel the need to venture out of Old Town too much, especially in the evenings, as we had everything we needed there and it was so charming, and would spend most of our days at the beach or galleries. The apartment itself has lovely big windows in the living area which we would open at night to listen to the buzz of Old Town with a glass of wine! For those who are put off by the supposed "noise" of Old Town, with the windows secured (and a fan on- it was hot!) you can't hear anything during the night. The apartment was a perfect base for our trip and we would happily stay there again! Thank you Frank for our stay!

Cozy and comfortable

Nice aparments in the heart of the Old town. Good equipment and furnifhings inside - there is all what can you need. If we will back to Nice, we stay at Franck's apartments again.

Home away from home

We found Frank's flat in old town Nice easily, with help from Taxi driver and were met by Rocky with the key immediately. He showed us into a great 3rd floor apartment that had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We loved being right in the heart of the the little cafés, restaurants and close to a great market area. Highly recommend staying here. The beach was also a quick 10 minute walk away.

Lovely apartment, perfect location

Five of us travelled for the Euros in Nice. The apartment was in walking distance of everything, located perfectly in the old town. Comfortably sleeps 5. Guest guide for good places to go and visit and things to see. The apartment manager and owner both communicated well in an easy transaction.

Not suitable for family or anyone who wants proper sleep!

We stayed in Nice for four nights in this apartment and it has been an extremely unpleasant stay. To make this review more balance and fair, I will start with the pros. The location was very convenient as it is very central in the old town, with many restaurants and lovely shops around it. The building itself has history and you can fully experience the French style of living. Furthermore, the owner was very responsive host and answered all the calls/ questions promptly. However, this apartment has many, many cons. Let's start with the noise. Dear Lord- THE NOISE! It was- and I say this without exaggerating- AWFUL! As we live in the middle of a cluster of many restaurants and bars, the noise at night (and day) was unbearable. Drunk shouting, screaming, loud chatter- you name it and we had it all! Even though we shut the windows, it was no help! Second of all, the heat was very bad. Okay, I guess this summer was pretty exceptional as the heat wave had struck Europe, but Nice is a pretty warm place, heat wave or not. Even though fans were provided, they were very old and noisy, definitely not functional enough for summer. Third of all, if you arrived in the evening, you cannot park your car at the entrance of the building to unload the luggage because the area was fully occupied by the restaurants and tables. As a family of 5, we had to push massive luggages up several blocks to reach the building. With all the people milling around the area, it is no easy task. Fourth of all, there are many mosquitoes in the apartment. I trust you all that no explaination is needed. Itchy, hot and sleepless nights are not nice. Finally, we had stayed in 14 vacation rentals across Europe (all self-catering) in this trip and this is the only place that does not provide toilet paper. The owner emphasized that this is a self-catering apartment! So, please remember to bring your toilet rolla when you check in this place next time. Last but not least, I warn you all to STAY AWAY from this apartment unless you are a wild party animal who believes that sleep is not for you!

Potential guests who just read this review, please read the other reviews. Nearly all of my guests are honest, friendly and clean. Those particular guests were very happy during their stay, but when I commented about the broken items, damaged parts and the total dirt and mess they left behind, they changed their opinion and wrote this feedback. All the description in my advert is accurate, apart from the feedback of those guests. And no worries, there is toilet paper ?, there are no mosquitoes, the fans are working, the noise is moderate and very french (close the windows when you do not want to hear this), and yes the location is in Vieux Nice, but easy in reach. A wonderful stay!

A very sweet apartment, immersed in the old quarter of Nice, a step away from the beach. Close to lots and lots of lovely restaurants and landmarks, with the Matisse museum only a nice walk away. Well recommended to enjoy all the fine points of Nice!

Great location, reasonably priced and excellent service from owner Frank!

Great rustic apartment in a fantastic location in Vieux Nice ( old town). 2 minute walk from restaurants ,shops and daily fruit and veg markets and 4 minutes walk from the beach and and promenade!While the apartment is a little dated it is fully equiped and very well set up for a self catering holiday There are a number of steps(64!) to climb to get to the apartment so it is not suitable for the elderly or disabled. With the windows open in the kitchen/living area at times it can be noisy at night with a number of bars etc in the area so keep this in mind if you are someone who prefers to go to bed early!There is no air conditioning in the apartment and it can get a little warm but there is a fan available ( although like most fans it is a little loud!). Overall though I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment due to its location , value for money , and due to the owner Frank( ably assisted by Rocky!) who made a big effort to ensure that our stay was very enjoyable! Thanks guys!!

Le cœur de Nice

Super semaine, appartement idéalement situé dans le vieux Nice. Le marché du cours Saleya, la promenade des anglais, la place Massena, les restos, les bars, les boutiques.....on laisse la voiture au parking et on fait tout à pied. Le charme de cet appartement est dans son aspect typique, simple. Seul petit bémol, forcément le vieux Nice est assez bruyant vu que c'est le cœur de cette ville. Je recommande vivement. Enfin le propriétaire Franck est très réactif dans les échanges de mail et en cas de souci Rocky est présent sur Nice pour résoudre d'éventuels problèmes..

Great place to stay!!!

We managed to get this apartment at short notice when the previous apartment was flooded out. We were met by Rocky, the agent who showed us round the apartment. It is in one of the older buildings in Nice (Rue Place Vielle is an indicator) and has lots of character while possessing all necessary amenities. That is, for us, a very positive aspect. The only drawback is that it is on the third floor and the 64 steps need to be taken at a pace commensurate with fitness and years! By the end of our week the climb had become slightly easier... The location is perfect! There are restaurants, bars, shops and a daily market within 100 mtrs and the Prom. Des Anglais another 50 after the market! We can recommend the Comptoir du Marche to eat as it is not expensive and the food is excellent! For a special meal to impress we had our Anniversary meal at Oliviera. Very special food with variety of olive oils - taste the tiramisu with his Olive oil! Remarkable! Book early wiuth both... We will try to go back and can recommend this apartment. Inexpensive, professionally administered and the deposit refunded promptly! What more can I say...
