Ik heb bij de eigenaar aangegeven dat wij van de 12 dagen 7 dagen nodig hebben gehad om het huis frisser te laten ruiken. We hebben 7 zgn een vochtvreter aan gehad. Ik heb hem deze review eerst laten lezen, maar zijn enige reactie is: bedankt. De eigenaar wist dit en heeft er niet voor gezorgd dat wij van een onbezorgde vakantie konden genieten. We hebben het huis ook schoner achtergelaten dan toen we erin gingen. Beslist niet de taak van een huurder! Op zich is het huis geschikt alsuitvalsbasis voor allerlei activiteiten. Jammer dat de eigenaar zo nonchalant met zijn huurders omgaat. Onder deze omstandigheden kan ik de woning dan ook niet verder aanbevelen.

Le gite est vaste, agréable et confortable et il est situé dans le joli hameau des Moulins à 2,5 km du bord du lac.

Bij aankomst bij de woning was alles gesloten, dus geen warm welkom. De electriciteit en de verwarming was uit, waardoor het binnen in de woning maar 10 graden was, en de woning was vies. Het rook muf toen we binnenkwamen en in de koelkast zaten schimmels en dergelijke, was dus erg vies. En al het keukengerei was plakkerig en vies. Wel heel jammer want de dorpspleintje waar het huis staat is erg leuk en gezellig en het meer van Annecy met al zijn bezienswaardigenheden is zeker een aanrader.

This was our first visit to the Lake Annecy area and this house provided the ideal base for exploring this beautiful location. The house was very spacious, clean and well equipped.Lots of activities to keep all the family busy. The village of Menthon-Saint-Bernard had everything you would need including a variety of restaurants, patisseries and a small supermarket . The lake provided loads of water & land based sports as well as the chance to just relax. We loved our week.

Nestled amongst other historic houses and in sight of the imposing Chateau Menthon, Maison Menthon is only a ten minute walk from Menthon St Bernard village amenities. With stunning views of Lake Annecy and it's mountainous backdrop five minutes walk away, and access to the lake a five minute drive, this property is perfectly located for a great holiday.

We found Maison Menthon perfect for our holiday. It was quiet and spacious (it was just the two of us though) and a lovely walk to get our coffee and croissants in the village. The decking was great for enjoying long lunches, and drinks before heading to the lake for dinner. We thoroughly relaxed the whole trip, and would definitely return in a heartbeat.

Booked via holidaylettings, the description was very accurate. The communication with the owner was excellent, he was always attentive and responsive to all my messages. We had an issue with the internet, nothing to do with the owner, the wireless router bombed out, so we did not have internet, he was always attentive to this. The location was great. Parking was tight but was OK, there was always a place to park. The cottage was very nice, well cleaned, organized and had all the basic stuff we needed, the rooms were spacious and the living room was amazing. a cooker and fridge, washing machine, all what was needed for the week. I highly recommend this property!!

We loved this well equipped and surprisingly spacious cottage. Menthon St Bernard is a beautiful, traditional French Alpine village. It has good little shops, restaurants, a tourist information and a Tabac. The neighbours were friendly and helpful. This cottage is a 10 minute walk to the stunning lake Annecy which offers water sports and cafes. The local Chateau is 10 minutes walk away and well worth a visit. This cottage is well located for Annecy and the local region. We also visited Chamonix, Mont Blanc, Geneva and Grenoble from here. John and Helen have been very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We have had a happy and memorable holiday here.

Very reasonably priced, spacious accomodation for 2 couples or family (it's spread over 4 floors and is like 2 self contained apartments. Well decorated and has everything you'd need. Doesn't get much sun, so best for people who want to get out and about. Annecy is a beautiful part of the world, and we were lucky to get 8 days of sunshine.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Menthon. The photos on the website don't do this lovely little hamlet justice. It's a fabulous location and area and we were delighted when we got there. The house was great and very homely. It's a really quiet location which was just what we were looking for and a great base to explore Annecy and the surrounding areas and towns.
