Refused to rent it to us through this website because they might have to refund if we cannot travel because of the virus. So they are more than happy to take and keep your money if you are legally prevented from travelling to France, but they can't do it through this website because of the covid cancellation policy. Conclude what you will about people who act in this way. Would you want to rent from someone who will keep your money because you have the virus, or the border has been closed?

I rarely give reviews. Now I am compelled to, and words fail me. The chalet does all it says on the tin. And more. You won’t be disappointed (except when it’s time to go home!!). Book it and love it. We did.

Once I had seen La Moraine on line and read the description there wasn't any other contender in our search, I knew we should stay there. Sarah made our booking really easy and I was so pleased with all of the help and information that she gave to us prior to our stay. Sarah could not the have been more helpful. On arrival at the chalet everything was as described, we all felt at home straight away. There were extra special touches which made our stay even better. Sarah has thought of everything that you will need while you are there. There is a folder filled with information on the local area and places to visit to make the most of your stay. The open plan area is a great space for the family, there were 9 of us and it accommodated us perfectly. All of us were really happy with our bedrooms and bathrooms which were really comfortable. The views from the chalet are beautiful. The location is great, it's in a quiet area, but only a few minutes walk from the bus and train stop. There were passes for free bus and train transport which we used daily allowing us to discover the beautiful local area. There is a lovely bakery a couple of minutes from the chalet, for restaurants, cafes and supermarkets we went to Chamonix or Les Houches on the bus or train which only take a few minutes. Everybody in our party really enjoyed our holiday and thought that La Moraine was a great choice we would all recommend it to friends.

Richard & Sarah made this a delightful visit. The attention to detail, including the pre and post visit communication was flawless. We had a bottle waiting and a even some dinner waiting for us. After a long journey, we were most happy to see that. I would only recommend having a 4x4 or chains if heavy snow is expected. You MUST get your skis & boots if renting from Bertrand in Les Houches @Ski-Perf. We had an awesome stay, and thanks for dialing in the massive snow dumps, we all enjoyed that! We will be back!

Couldn't fault it. Perfect location for us just outside Chamonix and so quiet with amazing views. Very good places to eat and drink within walking distance and Chamonix close enough as well. The chalet had everything we needed (including extra beer fridge!) so we ate in half the time we were there and chilled afterwards with Sky Movies or a dvd.

We stayed at the Chalet with extended family and everyone had a great time. The chalet was perfect for us. The owners, Richard and Sarah, were very helpful, giving us lots of useful info before our stay. The chalet is really well equipped. The views are incredible and we especially enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking up at the mountains. There are a couple of restaurants close by. We walked to the Rocky Pop restaurant and had a wonderful family meal. We also found an incredible bakery very close to the chalet. We all had a great time and have already recommended the chalet to friends.

I am a cynical, older, usually hard to please (but not depressed, I hasten to add) alledgedly successful (materially speaking) man in his late 50s with the usual familial retinue and good friends and relations, for whom I want to give good things. I booked this one because (unlike many similar offers) it seemed genuine, if somewhat too full of Goodies (Sauna, Hot Tub...). Said extended Family and I found not only what was on the Tin, but more. Blasé as I was (Modernist Villas with infinity pools in Ibiza, Yachts, that sort of thing) - this Chalet, its owners and local team were perfect. Just imagine not having to go to the local supermarket because there's no dishwasher powder, washing up liquid, toilet paper, olive oil.. and then add a serious kitchen replete with goodies for Cooks and Champagne on Arrival. The Sauna was hot (110 degrees to be precise), the Tub Bubbled madly, the Playstation killed Aliens accodring to plan, the beds worked, the silence at night was... silent. Rent it.

Beautiful Chalet , has everything you could possibly need and more! The location is perfect making Chamonix and Les Houches easily accessible in less than ten mins! Helped us to make the most of all the ski areas in the valley. I would highly recommend staying at Chalet La Moraine and further recommend dealing with Sarah and Richard - I don't think they could have provided me with any more information or been more helpful , nothing was too much.

I'm not one for posting reviews, but this chalet and the Location was so fantastic I had too. So glad we booked our first ski holiday here ! There was 9 of us that stayed, 5 adults and 4 children. Before arriving at the chalet, the owners Sarah and Richard emailed us some really good info and links for all the local activities, lift pass info, ski areas, restaurants, nearest supermarkets in chamonix and Les houches and also how to get to the chalet from the airport. When we arrived at the chalet it was situated in a valley which is surrounded by mountains and the views were breathtaking. Upon arrival we received a welcome pack including milk, bread, paste, paste sauce and a bottle of Moët, which was a nice surprise. 2nd Floor The kitchen area was quality it had a American style fridge freezer, coffee machine, all the utensils that you could think of were in this kitchen making it so easy for cooking. There was a breakfast bar which was ideal for the kids to eat in the mornings. We used the Raclette one night which was a nice simple fun meal for everyone, kids loved it ! Off the kitchen area was the living and dining area all open plan which worked great. Big TV with full sky package, DVD player, playstation, Bose docking station and tons of DVD's and games for the playstation and the log burner was a really nice touch and lovely to have on. Ground Floor Utility room had washing machine and tumble dryer which came in really handy. Somewhere to hang all your ski clothing, snow boots and somewhere to keep ski equipment. All the adults stayed on this floor in the 3 double rooms, all these rooms had full Sky TV package, hairdryers, en-suites with baths, which was great after a day on the slopes to have your own space and not scrapping for a bathroom slot ! 3rd Floor 2 double rooms again with the sky TV and DVD players with 2 bathroom's, the views from these rooms were mind blowing ! In these bedrooms and bathrooms there was sky lights positioned above the beds and also above the baths. Absolutely amazing when it's a clear night sky, you can look up and see the stars ! The Hot tub and sauna was fab extra after a day on the slopes to relax. Then midway through the week we received a lovely cake sent from the owners. The chalet have a local management team that is there for your every need. Chris who is part of apex management team was really friendly and helpful and gave us lots of advice about the chalet and info about chamonix and Les houches. He also helped us out with ski hire and booking private ski lessons. The location of the chalet was fantastic, just situated inbetween chamonix and Les houches about 5 mins drive away. This made everything so easy for us, we hired a car because it was easier with younger children getting the ski equipment to the slopes. However there is a local bus that runs constantly up and down the valley and lots of people were using this. The chalet views were amazing, and the owners have thought of everything covering every little detail to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Le chalet La Moraine est un très beau chalet, idéal pour partir en vacances entre amis ou en famille. Nous étions 9 adultes et une petite de 3 ans à partir en Mars, ce qui fait un grand groupe, mais le chalet nous a permis de profiter les uns des autres sans nous marcher dessus et en ayant chacun notre chambre et salle de bain. Comme il y avait des non-skieurs dans notre groupe, il était important que le chalet soit agréable à vivre. Nous n'avons pas été déçus! La terrasse du chalet donne vue sur le massif du Mont Blanc et est équipée de chaises longues. Le jacuzzi est facile d'utilisation et permet aussi de profiter de la vue magnifique tout en se délassant. Le sauna est très agréable et assez grand pour accommoder un petit groupe. Le salon est très comfortable et est pourvu d'une collection impressionnante de DVD (Attention! Tous en anglais!) et d'une PS3 avec quelques jeux sympas. Le chalet est à 10 minutes du centre de Chamonix et à 2 minutes du centre des Houches. Les skieurs en ont profité pour aller skier dans divers domaines: Les Houches, Le Brévent et Les Contamines-Montjoie. Sarah et Richard ont été des hôtes fabuleux, toujours disponibles pour répondre à nos questions éventuelles avant la semaine de vacances. Sur place, nous avons été accueillis par Chris, le gérant du chalet, qui a été très gentil et serviable et qui s'est assuré que nous passions tous de bonnes vacances pendant la semaine. Le chalet était parfaitement propre à notre arrivée. Chris avait également acheté, suite aux instructions de Sarah et Richard, quelques denrées alimentaires de base et une bouteille de champagne pour nous tous! Tout est inclus dans le prix du chalet: il n'y a aucune mauvaise surprise. La location, les charges (électricité, chauffage, eau), le ménage avant et après le séjour, le linge de maison (incluant une grande, une moyenne et une petite serviette de salle de bain, ainsi qu'une serviette de bain pour le jacuzzi, un peignoir et des pantoufles - le tout par personne!) sont tous inclus. Nous ne pouvons que recommender le chalet La Moraine. Et nous espérons pouvoir y retourner un jour!
