Comfortable, convenient and wonderfully accommodating owner!
This will be our FIFTH stay in this very comfortable apartment which is in a quiet little courtyard literally a few metres from a main thoroughfare. It is well appointed and the owner does everything to ensure his visitors have everything and anything they need both in the apartment and with advice to enhance the enjoyment of being in Venice. There are supermarkets nearby if the visitor prefers to do some self catering in the apartment but there are also many nearby places to eat out both nearby and throughout the city. The apartment is conveniently located for the S. Toma vaporetto (waterbus) stage which suits us but it is also not difficult to walk to most places. My wife and I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else in Venice and certainly recommend staying in this convenient, comfortable apartment.

Non consigliabile
Siamo stati In questa casa con la mia famiglia per 3 gg. Appena siamo entrati abbiamo notato sporco ovunque, formicaio in bagno e in cucina. La casa sprovvista di beni di prima necessità, mancava anche una tovaglietta per apparecchiare la tavola. Cosa molto grave, che il proprietario in nostra assenza si è intrufolato nell'appartamento per controllare che tutto fosse spento,(luce e riscaldamento). Non lo consiglio per niente!! Cattivo odore di umido e muffa in casa!!

La recensione è dovuta al fatto che alle ore 16 del pomeriggio sia passato per dare indicazioni di dove lasciare le valigie il giorno del check out, vedendo luci aperte e finestre aperte sono entrato ed ho trovato riscaldamento al massimo 30 gradi finestre aperte tutte le luci accese comprese luci dei comodini, ho naturalmente chiuso. La loro grande ignoranza è di sentirsi offesi e tentare di vendicarsi con questa recensione alquanto bugiarda ignorante e ignobile. Di queste persone tutti possiamo farne ameno molto volentieri.

Good stay despite shaky start
We enjoyed our stay in Davide’s apartment. Clean and quiet and very close to everything we thought it was in an ideal area. There are many eateries within a couple of minutes walk and an excellent patisserie right opposite.
Our shaky start was trying to find it in the dark as we didn’t arrive until 8.10pm. We had been advised to find a porter who would get us to the apartment very quickly however the porters must have all finished for the day. Using google maps is not helpful in Venice so we seemed to walk around in circles for an hour with our suitcases becoming very distressed. We asked numerous shop owners however would get a different answer every time. Once Davide located us it was only minutes away from the apartment but the number over the apartment is 32 which had confused us. One of the challenges was we couldn’t phone David as our phone didn’t have credit. Setting that up prior to arrival would have made the arrival process less distressing.
The apartment is comfortable. It does not have a microwave (as stated), and doesn’t have a kettle but does have a 1 cup espresso maker. It only had one mug and no teaspoons so it’s not as equipped as we had thought but again, location, location, location. I boiled water in a saucepan on the stove for a cup of tea.
We had a three night stay so the breakfast included was 6 muffins and 2 croissants there on our arrival. Also some espresso coffee (which was very nice) and some teabags.
We are genuinely not sure how you would fit 6 or 7 people in this apartment but is ideal for between 1 - 4 guests.
Please ask if you want Street by Street directions to the apartment as we have made it simple and easy if you arrive in the dark 😊

Your arrival after 8.00 pm at sunset and no longer having credit in your phone, does not indicate any shortcomings on our part. Cups and spoons will personally replace them right away, sometimes they break and do not inform us. As for the beds the apartment in which you stayed was 2960 Frari 2 and at most can have 4 people, if you booked 2960 Cà Frari c ' were the spaces and the beds you mentioned. Thank you for the review but it is preferable for you to have more organization in the booking. Our features are visible in sunlight. David (owner)

We didn't get the apartment we booked
When I Booked this apartment I booked it based on the images and the floor plan that were presented on this site! Even now as I write this review I see the line Real Venice Centre 6 beds.....There were 2 beds!.......Now luckily we were 3 people and I think that is why they chose to put us in the smaller apartment. No MATTER.....we are a Family with a TEEN...and wanted the room to spread out.
The apartment itself was clean, and the location was central....Venice is magical...
The apartment is not too far from the train station....however on a 90 degree day in August....the owner could have recommended we use a porter from the train station to take our luggage to the location....a suggestion....of how to get to the apartment easily....would have been welcome.
We rented 3 apartments on this trip.....The other two were exactly as they presented themselves. The owners were EXTREMELY helpful with information on getting to and from train stations and airports....
I understand that apartments in Venice are expensive believe me....i live in NYC....so i am quite familiar with the cost of property....when I told the owner that I was disappointed that the apartment was not as advertised....his comment was about the cost of property in Venice....and that this apartment was the same price to rent as the larger one....
I hope that there is some adjustment to this posting.....

It was unintentionally mistaken for our other first apartment, but the difference is really minimal and the much appreciated area is a 2 minute walk from the other apartment. I found the client at dinner where I indicated a great restaurant and they seemed extremely happy, if it had not been so I would have changed the apartment from the second day. David (owner)

Centraal en rustig gelegen appartement
Het appartement is rustig en toch centraal gelegen. Ruim, schoon en goed ingericht, fijn en groot tweepersoons bed. Prima badkamer met een heerlijke maar wat krappe douche. De patio is geen binnentuin maar het stenen binnenplein van het appartementencomplex.
Wij vonden het heel fijn dat het appartement op de begane grond ligt want (trap)lopen doe je in Venetië al genoeg als je vooral veel wilt zien.
Tip: bezoek naast de trekpleisters ook de prachtige Frari kerk direct aan de overkant van het appartement.
Prima host, prima locatie en appartement.

Best of Venice
We throughly loved our stay in Venice and our apartment we booked. The host Davide was in touch with us about our booking and we were able to check in when we arrived in the city. He was very helpful about getting around the city and tips, answered any questions we had. The apartment was very clean, spacious and excellent location. It was about a 10 minute walk to both the Piazzale Roma Bus station and San Lucia train station and 4 min walk to a vaporetto stop. We enjoyed that area of Venice and had very good choices of where to get food. I would recommend this apartment and would stay here again.

Perfect location for seeing the sights
2960 Ca Frari is perfectly located. It is within easy walking distance of all the sights, the church next door is a must.
The appartment was just the right size for my mother and I. It was clean and tidy, there were enough cooking utensils to cook each night but there are good restaurants very close by if you don't want to. Davide, the owner, recommended the DOLFIN restaurant.
Davide was there to great us and show how the appliances worked and was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything.
Our only complaint is that the trip was over too quickly, so we are already planning to return later in the year.

Home from home!
This is our fourth stay in this comfortable, conveniently located apartment and we really wouldn't want to look for anywhere different to stay in Venice. Our last stay was only a few months ago - see our comprehensive Review from our November 28th 2017 visit. We knew that the owner would be away himself during this February/March visit but he asked for our expected arrival time and gave us details and a phone number of his helper, Elisabetta, who would be waiting to meet us at the apartment. Unfortunately, that was the period when the "Beast from the East" snow caused wide spread travel disruption in Europe . Although we stayed overnight at an airport hotel to ensure we had no problems travelling to Liverpool airport, we saw next morning that some flights were cancelled and many were delayed. Initially, our flight only appeared to have a short delay but as the time went on, the expected departure time kept being put back and we realised we would not arrive at the apartment in Venice to meet Elisabetta at the time she would be expecting us. We texted her and I think we confused her because we texted in Italian. She had expected us to do it in English. We had a prompt response and once she realised we were the people she would be expecting we had very good communication exchanges with her. We kept her informed as our departure time kept being put back and had kindly and reassuring responses. We eventually were able to tell her that we had a probable flight departure time. We could not be definite about anything until we were actually in the air but we said we would notify her when we had definitely landed at Venice's Marco Polo airport - which we did. We texted to notify her that we had cleared security and were on the airport express bus into Venice, She assured us that she was still waiting for us. Unfortunately, the limited stop number 2 Vaporetto was no longer operating so we had to take the number 1 which took longer to get to San Toma. As we passed into the quiet Corte, the door of the the apartment opened and Elisabetta came out waving a greeting to us. We were almost four hours later than we were expected and she was still smiling very graciously. We completed the formalities, she left and we settled in to this home from home apartment which has had a bathroom renovation since we last visited. We are very comfortable there and can not speak more highly of the owner, the attention to his guests and our comfort. We stand by everything we said in our previous Review about the flat, the area,the peaceful location and the convenience and helpfulness of the owner. We hope to be back as soon as we are able.

Non consigliabile
Noi siamo stati con la famiglia, in questo posto per 2 giorni e non ci e' piaciuto per niente. Il letto che vedete nella foto principale ha una coperta di plastica sotto la coperta principale (non ho visto da nessuna parte) che in notte faceva tanto rumore !
"La colazione" erano 10 brioche comprati da carrefour ! La moca non aveva filtro e mia madre a rischiato ad essere bruciata !
Nella doccia si trovavano gli insetti.
Il posto non e' vicinissimo alla stazione.
L'unica cosa positiva era che noi dovevamo partire in pomeriggio ed il proprietario ci ha dato la possibilita' di portare le nostre valiggie in un ristorante del suo amico.
Purtroppo non consiglio a nessuno.
