We spent 4 nights here and thought the location was ideal, being just a few minutes walk from the central station as well as within walking distance of the top sights. The building is situated down a quiet side street just off Damrak, and we found it to be a peaceful place, despite being in such a central spot. It’s a bright, pleasant apartment, with great hosts, Marijn and Sebaastian. In the kitchen area there’s a sink, coffee machine and fridge, but no cooking facilities (although the Tripadvisor listing does contain microwave). However, we ate out every evening and had plenty of options for this. While here we tried The Old Bell and The Royal Amsterdam on Rembrandtplein and a restaurant specialising in pancakes. There are lots of nice café/bars within walking distance for an aperitif too! We’d definitely recommend this apartment as an ideal base for your stay in Amsterdam.

Had a lovely 4 day stay at the Metropolitan. It provided everything that was needed for our visit and the hosts were on hand if anything extra was required. Excellent location in the centre, 1 minute from Dam square! Very happy, we had an excellent time :)

Stayed at the metropolitan b&b for six days, had never been to Amsterdam so was a little concerned about getting around. This place is in the center of Amsterdam within walking distance to everything. 5 minute walk to Central station and right next door to dam square. It's small but has everything you need perfect for touring around the city. Marijn and her husband are awesome and go out of there way to insure you have all the info and help you need. Honestly doesn't get any better. So from myself and my sisters thank you so much.

Five minute walk from Central Station, lovely garden area, had everything we needed for four. Our hosts were helpful and friendly- be sure to eat at Amsterdam Cafe-Restaurant! Take bus 21- ask your host Sebastian. Wish we could have stayed a week!

quiet, charming, with easy walking access to Amsterdam sights. Pleasant garden that even has chickens that give eggs! Comfortable size for three adults. Kitchen handy for breakfasts and light meals. Hosts very pleasant and helpful.

If you want to be in the literal centre of things, and get a good night's sleep, this is the perfect place. Sebastian was a really genial and attentive host, easy going and helpful. The studio flat is charming, and everything you could possibly need, from bread to entertainment, is literally on your doorstep. Being near the central station is very convenient. The garden and freshly laid eggs from the hens were the icing on this Dutch cake. Loved Amsterdam.

The location of the apartment is fantastic: 7' walk from the main train station, many shops and restaurants etc. right "next-door" - at the same time absolutely calm and peaceful as the apartment faces a green and quite backyard. We felt very welcome, safe and comfortable. Marijn and her partner Sebastiaan are very friendly, helpful and easy to contact. The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot - what else can you ask for (except, maybe, for a freezer)? We would love to spend our next stay there again!
