FANTASTIC STAY
Where to start?....Stephan and his wife met us at the property and showed us around their amazing house, they were very informative of how to work the sauna and all appliances around the house. The bedrooms were perfect with great mattresses and fantastic pillows, bathrooms were spotless and welcoming.
The fridge was full of beer , soft drinks and Wine which Stephan told us were all for us with no additional charge, there was a basket full to the brim with complimentary chocolates biscuits and pastries.
We travelled with friends by car (2 cars) and we were told on arrival that there was a double garage at the end of the road that we could use so another bonus of no parking fees, the garage had 6 bikes in there that Stephan said we could use.
The Outdoor garden area was well presented with table and chairs.
What a great experience will definitely be staying here again when we visit next.

Great home
What a great holiday home, it had everything. So well planned, so well equipped, you could not ask for more. We could not eat or drink the welcome pack in a week. You feel at home from the moment you walked in to the house. Thank You so much Kathy and Keith.

Ypres holiday review
What a fantastic place to stay, right in the middle of Ypres but down a quiet road away from any noise. The house was great for two families and is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you'd ever need and the bath robes and slippers was a great extra.
The welcome pack was out of this world, despite our best effort we couldn't eat/drink what was very kindly left out for us.
Don't hesitate staying in this high end house if you want to visit the many WW1 sites in the area.

Our stay at Het Kabinet was amazing. Brilliant place to stay,a warm welcome from the owners and lots of lovely treats to sample. Will definitely return again.

Just fabulous!
We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Ypres and the WW1 cemeteries nearby. This was our 4th trip to Ypres and this property was undoubtedly one of the best we have stayed in.
We were welcomed by Steven and his son and shown around the house and how everything worked. The house is absolutely immaculate, not a speck of dust anywhere, even in the bin store! There is ample crockery, cutlery and glasses with absolutely everything you could think of....it is better equipped than my kitchen at home! One of the bottle openers was broken, but no fear... there was at least another one! The 'welcome pack' was amazing - well stocked fridge and goodies, between the four of us we didn't manage to finish it! What a lovely gesture.
We visited with friends; there was myself and my husband and two other friends, so it was good to have our own rooms and own toilet/bath facilities without having to queue up. We used the sauna once which was luxury.
I can't really add to what others have already said about this beautiful house - it is a credit to the owner, who said he had renovated it himself. It is stunning and I guarantee you will do no better in Ypres. We would certainly stay here again.
I stupidly left some clothes behind and Steven very kindly contacted me to let me know....nothing is too much trouble and it is worth every single euro! Thank you to Steven for letting us stay in you beautiful house.

You cannot go wrong with this property!
We had a fantastic time at this house - probably the best holiday property we have ever rented. I highly recommend it. It is finished and equipped to a very high standard. It is extremely well located for the centre of Ypres. We were travelling with elderly relatives, and this property met their needs well, with a bedroom, toilet and shower on the ground floor.
The standout feature, however, has to be the hospitality - with a great personal tour from the owners on arrival, and the provision of a very generous welcome pack.

Perfection in Ypres.
Het Kabinet is one of the best places I have ever stayed. We were met and shown around the house by Steven the owner. Everything that you could ever need to make your stay a good one is there. From local sweets right up to the sauna. Every cupboard or draw Steven opened had something in it to make your stay better. Steven is very proud of his property, and quite rightly so, as he did the renovations himself. There is even a garage available, which is very handy when staying so close to the centre of Ypres. Only a short walk from the Grote Markt, it is an ideal base for exploring Ypres and the surrounding area. Many great restaurants and bars are near by, you are spoilt for choice. all in all if you can find more comfortable, better equipped accommodation at such a reasonable price, then I would like to know where that is, as I truly don't believe it exists!

Baden in luxe op historische locatie
Prachtige vakantiewoning, hartelijke ontvangst door de eigenaar. Alles aanwezig, lekkernijen, wijnen, zachte badlakens, heerlijke bedden, een goed gevulde koelkast (waarbij zelfs rekening was gehouden met de aanwezigheid van twee kleine kinderen), sauna, enorm bad, haard, Rituals verzorgingsproducten, helemaal perfect. Perfecte communicatie ool vooraf met de eigenaar. De woning is een ideaal verblijf voor een bezoek aan Ieper (de woning ligt in het centrum, alles is te voet bereikbaar) en de historische omgeving
