Carvoeiro is a picturesque former fishing village which is now a popular seaside destination. The resort manages to retain all of it's Portuguese charm while offering excellent tourist facilities. Amongst it's main attractions are it's lovely beaches and choice of many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. You can take a boat trip straight from the town beach to admire the local hidden coves, caves and grottoes from the sea. In high season, the main square next to the town beach holds regular open air concerts. Children are especially welcomed everywhere so Carvoeiro is an ideal place for a family holiday.
