Nice pleasant stay with my friend
We enjoyed a 10 days holiday at this awesome villa with my group of friends. Villa is well equipped, very near to the beach, Carvallo beach is incredible, 7 minutes walk far. In 2 minutes you have a supermarket and 2 restaurants.
Also, the pool is incredible.
We recommend this villa and will come back soon.

Great villa, excellent location
We were a party of 6 adults and 3 children spanning 3 generations and this was a great villa. It was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, the bbq, the beds were really comfortable. The pool was cleaned too and Joao was kind enough to arrange the some kids beach toys ( as well as plastic plates). It would be good to have more big glasses in the kitchen and because of the size of our group we needed a bigger fridge. For the price. It was excellent value. Joao was very quick to respond and resolve any issues.The location was perfect for us. There are nearby restaurants and a shop. A short drive to Carvoeiro. The Rocha Brava resort is 5 mins walking distance. We would return.

Couldn’t ask for anymore!
A wonderful villa in a great location. I couldn’t recommend this villa any higher and hope to stay here again, although no doubt it will be fully booked! Only downside...wasn’t there long enough!

Great villa- shame about the weather
The villa was great fit for purpose, fantastic location for beaches and local bars. Short taxi/car journey into carvoeiro.
The weather was not great whilst we stayed which made the swimming pool freezing. But not unexpected.
The villa itself was rustic Portuguese which was lovely.
Joao was great at keeping in touch and everything was as he said it would be. We only saw the cleaner once during our week and she brought fresh towels. I think if the weather had been different we might have needed a bedding change in the week.
All in all a great stay and we would definitely recommend.

Une semaine parfaite !
La maison est agréable et spacieuse ! Nous étions parfaitement installés (2 familles avec 5 enfants au total).
La situation est parfaite pour des excursions à la journée et profiter des plages magnifiques à proximité.
La communication avec Joao est au top.

Perfect Location
Our family of 7 had a wonderful time in Cavaeiro. The Villa is in a perfect location with loads of restaurants, bars and beautiful beaches very close by. Hiring a car is not essential but an advantage for travelling to hidden coves. The Villa itself had everything you need, spotlessly clean and a lovely homely feeling. We will be back again next year. Dina the house keeper was a great help with local attractions and recommendations. The owner Joao responded very quickly to any queries we had. I would highly recommend Casa do Farol for a family holiday.

Another Perfect Stay at Casa do Farol
We keep coming back to Casa do Farol every Spring. We came a little later this year in May, having normally visited Carvoeiro at Easter. It's the perfect time of year for a quiet and relaxed vacation. Everything is open, but there are no crowds. The weather is pleasantly warm, even at night, but not too hot. The villa, as always, was well equuipped, comfortable and provided everything we needed for a stress-free holiday. The large, private pool was perfect and safe for my three year old grandson, who had a great time splashing around in it every day. The nearby restuarants (Rocha Mar, Lighthouse and Jardim do Farol) are all excellent, freindly and good value. Due to us eating fairly early, we never needed to make reservations at this time of year, but they do get quite busy later in the evening. The Rocha Brava complex almost opposite the villa is as ever, very attractive and well maintained and you can make use of the larger pool, tennis courts and children's playground. The cafe also serves excellent snacks (we enjoy the crepes in particular) and also has wi-fi, plus football on the large-screen TV. I would recommend doing any major food shopping at Intermarche, which is the cheaper option, but the small Rocha Brava complex supermarket is very useful for anything else you need. Getting into Carvoeiro is simple enough. You can use the 'train' (which the kids will love) or the hop-on hop-off minibus, both of which stop in the entrance to Rocha Brava. A taxi is just a few Euros. It wouldn't even take too long to walk down the hill. If you need a car, I would recommend AlgarveDriver.com. I've used them for five years, for both car hire and transfers and they have always been helpful and totally reliable. In summary, I would very much recommend Casa do Farol for a relaxing vacation. The owners are always extremely helpful and keen to make your stay enjoyable.

A delight.
Myself and my family stayed in Casa do Farol last week and I can thoroughly recommend this five-bedroom villa with private pool.
The five bedrooms suited our family perfectly, particularly as two are downstairs as my father has limited mobility.
The villa is kept very clean and has a charm to it - lots of space as well.
We didn't use the TV but the WiFi is excellent.
The pool is well maintained and just large enough to swim a few gentle lengths, if you want to chill it's a great area to hang around reading and swimming.
We know Carvoeiro and particularly Rocha Brava very well so were happy alternating between eating locally and heading into Carvoeiro, about 3km away. Both boast good eateries with the town obviously having much better choice.
The owners of the villa are very helpful, we had a super time and would happily return.
Good memories.

Perfect Family Holiday
You always worry when booking a villa and you have small children, that there are going to be steep stairs and marble edges everywhere and untold dangers all around but this is certainly not the case here. With a 2,5 and 7 year old we felt very relaxed here from day one. Once you drive in and close the front gate the place is secure and kids are safe to run around. The pool is also gated which is a big plus.
The house has loads of character and feels very relaxing to spend time in. Ok it's not the fanciest but it's lovely and clean and well equipped and so private you can happily sit by the pool all day and not see a soul.
We didn't know much about Carvoeiro but it proved to be a great location. The town itself has a lovely little beach and lively atmosphere with everything you could need. We went to Zoomarine and Slide and Splash and both are only a short drive away.
The only thing the villa lacked for me was a few bits of information about the local area. At least a list of emergency numbers would be reassuring. Otherwise we had no complaints, really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay here again.

Maison très fonctionnelle
Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances dans cette maison très fonctionnelle: Les salles de bains sont très grandes avec des douches xxl; la maison est bien équipée en mobilier et appareils en tout genre; piscine assez grande et bien entretenue.
C'est une maison très bien située pour faire de belles randonnées pédestres entre les plages de Vale de Centianes/ Le phare/ Carvalho/ Benagil/ Marinha.
Petit bémol: le mobilier de jardin doit être renouvelée ainsi que le frigidaire qui s'essouffle. Pour les périodes très chaudes la nuit, il serait intéressant d' équiper la maison de climatiseurs.
