Ffryes Villa is situated within a small exclusive development. Heavenly tranquil beaches, boutique shops, bars, several restaurants, 18 hole golf course, various leisure pursuits along with excursions are all within strolling distance. The capital city St John's and English Harbour are both an easy 15 minute drive. The Villa is designed for al fresco living with extensive verandas that extend the internal space. All principal rooms open to covered well furnished external areas, creating an ambiguous edge between the inside and outside, ideally suited for tropical living and enjoying the cooling breeze and glorious sunshine. Dream Holiday

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Ffryes Villa. The Villa is really well located and within easy reach of local amenities and restaurants. It is also only a short drive away from many spectacular beaches. The Villa itself was perfectly equipped for our family of 5 - the rooms were cool, comfortable and spacious and the terrace and pool were great for relaxing after a long day at the beach. Will definitely be staying there again!

Ffryes Villa a great deal!!

We stayed at Ffryes Villa for 2 weeks in Feb. 2021. The house is large and spacious with a great sized kitchen! Everything worked great including all 4 AC units. Alastair & Carolyn were very prompt with all email communication and made organizing our stay a breeze. House Manager Hazel was also very helpful and both welcomed us when we arrived as well as dropped in to say goodbye on our last day. Location is perfect with only 10 -20 minutes walk to large grocery store in Jolly Harbor as well as the excellent beaches there. Very private yard space and your own private pool! I would suggest getting a car to see the island and try and visit all 365 beaches! But be aware the roads and local drivers may not be what your used to!! Overall a great time! Would stay again!

Fantastic Villa, Fantastic Holiday

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at Ffryes house and would highly recommend this villa. The villa is fully equipped, clean and spacious. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the private pool is great. We were well looked after by Hazel, the property manager, as well as given great advise and guidance from the owner, Alastair, with regards to places to visit and where to eat. The villa is close to, in our opinion, the best beaches on the island and has a large supermarket nearby. Car rental is recommended and we used Sunny's car rental in Jolly Harbour, who delivered and collected the vehicle directly to the villa. We had a great time and hope to return in the future.

A great space

Fryes is a great space and was ideal for 4 of us . The pool is a decent size and the wrap round veranda is a great chill place in all weather. The gardens also make a great backdrop and attract local birds inc hummingbirds. Location wise it’s just outside Jolly Harbour resort but that can be walked in 15mins. (We didn’t need a car, just taxis and buses that can be caught outside property). On negative side property is adjacent to the main road (although this wasn’t that busy) and property beginning to look a little tired. Would go back.

Wonderful stay in Ffyres Villa

Just back from a wonderful 10 night stay in Ffryes Villa in Jolly Harbour. Alastair the owner was very prompt in replies to queries prior to arrival. And Hazel the manager was warm, welcoming and available to answer any questions that came up. But there was no need as the villa was perfect. 3 good size en-suite bedrooms with very comfortable beds. A lovely lounge area with fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed on hand. But the best part was the wrap around verandah and pool area, with lots of relaxing morning coffees and evening drinks being had. Jolly beach was within walking distance although would recommend a car to see the whole island and the fabulous beaches. However Jolly beach was by far our favourite with everything you would need on hand for a day at the beach. Overall a truly relaxing get away from it all family holiday. Will never forget our stay in Antigua and will be sure to return.

Felt like home!!

We have been meaning to write a great review for some time! We booked the villa very last minute, and Alastair was messaging me the next day to check the flight details and prepare for the stay, which was great and proactive. He made lots of recommendations and gave useful advice before we even got there. Like most places in Antigua, we would definitely recommend hiring a car for your trip. Although the villa was actually relatively close to Jolly Harbour, its still a 15-20 min walk probably to the harbour, a bit longer to Jolly Beach, but perhaps 20mins walk to the other local beaches. We booked this place because Jolly Beach/Harbour is supposed to be very nice, and it had epicurean very close by for food shopping. Antigua is quite small, so you can get around everywhere very easily. On arrival, we were greeted by Hazel, the property manager. She was so lovely and even looked after our toddler while we loaded in all the bags from the car. She gave us a tour and went through a few essentials and gave so much helpful advice and recommendations. We were able to text her anytime and she would reply very fast. The villa was perfect and felt like a real home - clean, airy, bright, spacious, so very well equipped - even had coffee machine, blenders, cake tins, plus usual dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. Pool was great! BBQ was so useful! Even the neighbour Alex was incredibly nice and helpful! It was extremely child friendly - we had a toddler. We barricade the pool area with the outdoor sofa so toddler wouldn't go near the pool. This worked so well! We were also provided with a clean travel cot and high chair. Our toddler loved feeding the birds in the morning. Self catering is generally very expensive in Antigua, so bring as much as you can from your country! We hugely enjoyed going to the fish markets for fresh fish, and buying off the locals including root vegetables, plantains, and cooking this in the evening. Thats the best way to see Antigua, by mingling with the locals, buying from them directly and improvising with what you have. The villa was so nice to come back to each day - highly recommended and we will be back!

A rental car is strongly recommended as there is so much to see and do on the island all less than an hour to reach. You can walk to the nearest beach but carrying beach bags, towels etc. in that heat can be a challenge.
