Beautiful villa overlooking Elounda
We spent 3 weeks with our 3 kids in Villa Fa. Pretty steep climb to get there, but once arrived we enjoyed THE most beautiful view over Elounda and Kalydon Bay. The villa is big enough to accommodate the 5 of us and the pool is (of course) highlight and where we spent most of our time :)
Great (and essential) to have airco in all rooms, breakfast with a view, bbq and dinner next to the pool, terrific service by Hippo, pool and house cleaning every other day (!!!!)
On the improvement side: can't really use the kitchen for cooking for lack of kitchen utensils (no scissors!), pots and pans. Spaghetti for lunch is great, but no face cooking. Bathroom downstairs needs some updating.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will certainly come back next year! Tip: try running up Spartan Way as fast as you can :)

Spectacular +++++
Spectacular views and just a peaceful place to relax. The villa has an adequate size inside but the highlight is on the outside with a really nice and big terrace plus two nice balconies. Very friendly and helpful host. Great pool! Located high up (thereby the view..) but easy to reach by rental car which can be parked right next to your entrance. Cant praise this place enough.

Very great and beautifull villa with amazing view!
The house was great with an amazing view of the ocean. Very clean villa with great bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen was very nice with lots of supplies. The balcony was great for having breakfast and the swimmingpool was clean and fun to swim in. Best if you also rent a suv car to go to town or do grocery, because its a hill climb up so you need a steady and reliable car for that. Everything else was really nice and outside is very quite so you can enjoy in peace.

Faszinierende Aussicht
Wir waren mit unserer Familie zwei Wochen hier. Ein faszinierender Ausblick über die ganze Bucht, ein sehr schönes Haus mit guter Ausstattung. Gepflegt und guter Service dank Hippo vor Ort. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir im Herbst wiederkommen werden.
Wir haben die ruhige Lage, abgeschieden vom Trubel sehr genossen. Ein Auto ist allerdings in jedem Fall erforderlich.

Amazing view
We spent a lovely 10 days at villa re with our 2 daughters (9, 12). The villa was very clean and had everything needed for our stay. The pool area was great for relaxing whilst the kids played in the pool, with enough sun/shady options. We enjoyed long lazy lunches sat at the table on the balcony looking out at the beautiful view. The villa feels very secure and we had brilliant sleeps thanks to the glazing and shutters. Hippo was very helpful and had somebody over straight away if anything needed sorted. A great place to stay for our second trip to Elounda.

Amazing view, lovely pool and welcoming host
Villa Fa was a perfect place for our family to stay. Our two children (7 and 3) loved the pool and balconies. The welcome pack of wine and snacks was lovely. The host recommended a fantastic restaurant for the first night. The location was stunning. A great place to stay.

Breathtaking
Our family of four really loved the villa and our time in Crete. The area was amazing, Hippo was a fabulous host and there was plenty to do around the town and neighboring villages and beaches. We spent our time hanging out in the villa and enjoying the wonderful amenities - the pool and pool deck area are fabulous. Lovely warm sun so you can take a dip first thing in the morning and even enjoy the pool in the evening. There's a gentle breeze as well so napping came quite easily. ;)
Hippo provides many suggestions for local restaurants and each and every one was fabulous and unique in its own way. The beaches are spectacular - each one better than the next! It was our first visit to Crete, and we fell in love with the island. We had a car which I think is a must. It's hard to get around without one.
If you've never experienced Greek hospitality, you will find that they are incredibly warm and generous, very welcoming and happy to share their recommendations with you.

Dream Villa
We stayed at this beautiful villa in May. We absolutely loved every moment of our stay. We were a group of 4 and were very impressed with the layout of the villa. It was spacious and open yet gave complete privacy. The villa was fully equipped with cooking facilities and was stocked with some welcome food and drink. The villa is close to all local amenities but I would recommend renting a bike or quad to get up the steep hills to the villa. Hippocrates was so helpful and really made our stay even more enjoyable from the very start until our day or departure. He was very accommodating and offered us lots of tips and advice on things to do and places to eat. Hippo was efficient in answering calls if we needed things like coal for the outside bbq. We loved relaxing outside on one of the many balconys and star gazing at night. The views from the villa were breathtaking. The pool was great as you got the sun until early evening and there was nothing more relaxing than having a nap on one of the sun beds after a swim in the sun. The upstairs bedroom in particular were spectacular. Elounda is beautiful. We travelled to a couple of places before arriving in elounda and all we can say is that we wish we had stayed there for the whole duration of our trip. So much history and the locals are very friendly. We can not fault the villa in the slightest and have no negatives at all. We have recommended to all of our friends and would book again in a second. Thank you so much for having us!

Beautiful Villa, Wonderful Stay!
We had a fabulous time at Villa Solfez!! The villa is beautiful, peaceful, very clean and really well equipped. Hippo (the host) was there to meet us on arrival and looked after us for the week - he put water, wine, fresh fruit and snacks in the villa for our arrival which was lovely, gave us information about local beaches and the area, and even got up at 3am to let us into the Villa when we had locked ourselves out after a night in Agios town!! Thank you Hippo :)
We stayed at this villa in September 2016 but sadly had to leave early to fly back to the UK, Nikolas was very understanding and very kindly allowed us to use the time this year, so September 2017 - we were back, and very happy to be!!
The pool is beautiful and the outdoor space at this villa really makes it - the views are to die for. We had 2 BBQs at the villa and had breakfast on the balcony, other than that we ate out at some of the many restaurants in the area. You can get a taxi within 10 minutes and they are very cheap. All of the food we had was fresh and delicious! There is a Lidl about 20 minutes away, really cheap and really well equipped. Google maps will often tell you the journey will be longer than it will actually be as I don't think it recognises all of the roads properly.
We stayed at the villa as two couples and also had another couple from a nearby hotel join us for a BBQ one night, it has plenty of space and is well equipped with towels, hairdryers, soap etc and is regularly cleaned. The villa is on a very steep hill so a car is need at least for some of your trip - the views are so worth it though!
There are lots of beaches in the local area to explore - Voulisma was our favourite. We also did a private boat trip for the day from Agios which I would highly recommend (booked with Elounda VIP Cruises).
I would highly recommend this villa!

Un endroit magnifique avec une vue à couper le souffle
Une maison en parfait état, très bien décorée et très bien équipée
Un hôte adorable, serviable , toujours la pour vous aider sans etre intrusif pour autant.
Un frigo plein quand on arrive (on peut tenir à 4 plusieurs jours)
En bref de merveilleuses vacances que l'on regrette tous les jours sous le ciel parisien.
