Fantastic Villa
Beautiful Villa with everything needed for a great family holiday. The owners were extremely kind and left us with homemade goodies and fresh fruit and they checked on us to make sure we were ok. The Villa is located in the countryside and has amazing views of the see and the surrounding countryside and mountains. We had a wonderful time and totally recommend Villa Diamantis A+

Superbe maison, magnifique vue sur mer et excellent accueil
Maison très confortable, spacieuse grande avec plusieurs grandes terrasses vue mer. Très bien équipée (vaisselle, linge de maison, lessive, savon etc...) Excellent accueil de M. Diamantis avec de nombreuses très gentilles attentions : huile d’olive, fruits, gâteaux, vins etc..
Belle piscine agréable avec vue mer.
Emplacement proche des plages, de la ville et des commodités.
Attention : voiture obligatoire et maison sur plusieurs étages.
Une très belle location pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis.

LOCATION SUPERBE
La villa est splendide : surfaces , qualité des matériaux , équipements
La piscine avec coin barbecue , le jardin très agréables
La vue est magnifique : environnement de campagne , vue sur la mer
L'accueil sans défaut
Entretien très bon avec un nettoyage , un changement complet de draps / serviettes à mi-semaine
En résumé une excellente adresse
Nous étions 8 adultes + 5 enfants

Super Villa (mit leichten "Abstrichen in der B-Note")
Die Bilder lt. Anzeige entsprechen völlig den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten. Super Haus mit riesengroßen Grundstück und traumhaft schönem Ausblick. Dazu kommt eine absolut fürsorgliche Betreuung durch die herzlichen Eigentümer (Familie Diamantis). Eigentlich alles was das Herz begehrt. Wenn da nicht.......zum einen Baulärm auf einem Grundstück in der Nähe. Die Nacht war um 7:00 zu Ende, da die Betoneinschaler die Hämmer geschwungen haben. Ok, das ist dann halt so und es kann keiner was dafür, war aber schon nervig. Zum anderen das wohl auf ganz Kreta unübersehbare Problem der Müllfragmente. Leere Flaschen, Bierdosen etc. auf dem weitläufigen Areal (vermutlich aber auch von diversen Vormietern hinterlassen). Da hat das Herz des "ordnungsliebenden" Deutschen schon doch geblutet. Und der hat dann drei Müllsäcke per Hand aufgesammelt, weil es ihn irgendwie störte. Im Übrigen nur noch der Hinweis, dass ohne Mietauto der Aufenthalt nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen wäre. Für Einkäufe etc. einfach unentbehrlich. Aber wie gesagt, "Top-Location" und mehr als empfehlenswert.

Amazing holiday!!!
We came here for 2 weeks with a large group of 15 family members staying in the villa and 13 other family members staying in Rethymnos at other hotels for our wedding. All I can say is what an incredible experience, the villa is amazing especially the pool and views. It's also in an amazing location where your tucked away from everybody but also right by the strip and old town and harbour. The pictures don't do it justice which is saying something and it's got so much room more than we realised when booking! We will definitely be back to stay. Valia who we booked with and Mr Diamantis the owner and his family really looked after us and were extremely accommodating. They really did help to make our wedding holiday even more amazing. The only downside i have is that there was absolutely no Wi-Fi they did explain this was down to the signal in area which is understandable but then it shouldn't be advertised as having Wi-Fi and unfortunately the bbq was not available this year but instead we were given some lovely cheese pies and so much Raki and freshly picked fruit it was amazing. Beautiful villa, beautiful people, beautiful place we all didn't want to leave and all greatly miss. We will definitely be back again. Thankyou thank you thankyou so very much:)

Fantastic Villa
We were a party of 11 people age ranged from 11 to 65. The owners greeted us on arrival and welcomed us with drinks, cakes, cheeses, fruits and bread which was great after the journey from the UK.
The villa was spotless and was cleaned twice a week and the sheets and towels were also changed twice a week.
Pool area was great with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to sit and relax on.
The barbeque was good in the evenings to sit out and eat. The owners put on a barbecue one evening and it was fantastic, great food, wine and raki.
You can walk down to the beach which is 20-25 minute walk downhill - easy to get a taxi back from the taxi office opposite the Levantes restaurant. Taxi cost varied from 4-8 euros depending on number of people. We never had an issue with taxis taking us back, we just warned the driver road was uneven and they took it easy.
Levantes restaurant is definitely worth a visit, food and staff are fantastic.
The downsides to the villa is it is at the top of a hill and the two fairly uneven roads that can be used for access are very steep in places so you need to be fit to get back up. There is no large supermarket within walking distance, though there is a mini-market in Adele which is a 20 minute downhill walk away, just the uphill on the way back to remember.
If you plan on eating at the villa and need to get shopping I would recommend a hire car as there is a Lidl supermarket 10-15 minute drive away which has everything you need. There was 11 of us so having a car made it easier to get the shopping back rather than have to rely on taxis.

Great family villa
We had a perfect week at Villa Diamantis - we were a family party of 8 adults and 4 young children. The villa was immaculately presented, very well equipped with a fantastic pool and children's pool plus a little play area. Beautiful shady garden too, the owners were incredibly welcoming - we have never had hospitality like it!
The villa is quite isolated so a car is essential.

Amazing
Our family, 12 persons aged from 8 to 65 spent 1 week at beautiful Villa Diamantis, and had a great time together. The owners were very friendly and showed warm hospitality, we were met with home-made cake, wine and cheese, fresh fruit and other refreshments, and during the week they organized an amazing barbeque for us.
The villa and its eqipment and environments was in a high class
There should have been sunbeds to everyone. We were 12, and there were only 8 beds.

Great villa, great views, dreadful location.
Villa Diamantis is a beautiful property with stunning views and some very caring owners and the Villa itself deserves 5 stars.
We stayed as a family of 11 with ages ranging from 1 - 68 and the Villa was perfect for us with 6 big bedroom, 3 kitchens, 2 large terraces and a large pool area. The pool was perfectly warm even at the beginning of June and the family really enjoyed the Villa.
The owners are brilliant they provided us with lots of home made goodies during our stay including cake, cheese, Raki, eggs. They also put on a proper Greek BBQ for us which was amazing!
We booked our stay in August the year before based on the fact it was only 200m to the nearest shops and taverna. Sadly this turned out to be totally fictitious and why I'm only rewarding the villa 2 stars.
The nearest shop and taverna decided not to open this season (we couldn't figure out where this was as the Villa is quite remote) this meant the nearest shops and tavernas were in Adelianos Kampos which was a 1.5km walk away down a very steep dirt track road. This made the journey impossible for the youngest and eldest members of our party.
Even for some of us that are fit the walk was especially tough in the heat, however the major problem was a number of large aggressive guard dogs (Rottweilers, Alsatians and Huskies) and smaller dogs which would come out into the dirt track and growl, bark and snap at you until you were well out of their guard area.
This was quite a scary experience for people not used to large dogs and made the journey impossible at night time and incredibly risky with small children.
We therefore had to rely on Taxis to get to and from the Villa, which we hadn't planned for. This would have been workable aside from the state of the track to get up the hill which was so bad that towards the end of our stay the Taxi companies started to refuse to take us up to avoid damaging their cars, further limiting our ability to get around and buy water or food.
Ultimately we had a great time in the Villa however the owners need to make it clear that it is a long way from the nearest shops and tavernas (not 200m as advertised) and without cars the track to the Villa is not suitable for young and elderly people and the Taxi companies were not happy with the road. Sadly to a degree this ruined our stay at Villa Diamantis.

However, please allow us to also pass you some further feedback as during your stay both us and the owner have tried our best to do anything we could do and you have mentioned to both of us that everything is ok now and you are very satisfied with the villa and the location. Regarding the dogs of the area we would like to mention that are pets and not stray dogs that live on gardens and do not wander. The location of the villa is one of the reason our guests choose it since it is remote and peaceful. Regarding the taxi transfers if you have mentioned while being there we would be more than happy suggesting you a company that would be reliable and helping you with your transfers.
